Can we just appreciate how real this looks. She looks like me when I take my makeup off and it just feels more relatable than all these other routines where people look like they barely do anything to their skin. Love this!
‘Just because Kenna looks cute as hell with bangs does not mean I need to cut mine.’ I will repeat that to myself until the video is done. I know I get annoyed by them. Don’t. Do. It. But her hair is so cute! NO.
I just rotate these cleansers because I like using them all for different reasons, but it's not necessary to rotate cleansers you are using. One at a time is ok too!
With the water based serums, it's kinda thick so maybe after thinner water based serums, then apply oil based serums if you have any and then moisturize.
I’ll have to try some of these, if it’s Kenna approved it must be good 🔬 I tried to follow your order of applying acids/serums/creams and I did wake up glowing today - coincidence? 😜
I’m so so interested in finding more about Tatcha and Laneige! Maybe do those two brands and compare to other cheaper brands to see if something is worth the money. I struggle with acne and oily skin but my skin can become so dry around the blemishes where I leave my prescribed spot treatment so the point where oils and moisturizers have to be caked on and my normal foundation just makes it flake worse (Dior air flash). My asian cousins swear by Laneige for their acne and I really like the tatcha water cream/face wash for the summer time/ oily skin but also don’t know if it’s worth the money! Love your videos thank you for the help!
Your skin is so nice! My skin has been awful. I’m 11 weeks pregnant and I have all this acne on my chin and around my temples but dry patches under my nose and super chapped lips. I’m on the Struggle bus. 😭
It’s back in stock, and it does emulsify. :) Imo: I don’t find it to be an effective precleanse. It leaves much of my tinted sunscreen still on, and the oily residue it also leaves behind does not come completely off with my 2nd cleanse. It’s also gritty, so rubbing it in for as long as did was not fun. I was so disappointed, but it’s affordable so. :)
Random thought idk if you've already addressed this but how do you feel about skincare fridges? Got one for Christmas, other than the cute factor and the nice cooling effect idk that it makes any difference 🤷
So cute!! I've been wanting to try the oat cleansing balm but is ir really suited for double cleansing? Because I saw a review where it was called a cleanser so I'm kinda confused and wander if it would be overstriping to pair it with my regular water based cleanser (vanicream) :(
I have a question regarding the Vitamin C powder, I remember you mentioned before that Vit C is very unstable, does it actually give any benefits to your skin when you apply topically?
Hey Kenna! I looked up the Inkey List cleansing balm ingredients and I'm confused whether there's fragrance in it or not. My eyes are really sensitive to the one I'm currently trying to use up. Can you help me figure this out?
She just prioritize the hyaluronic acid based serum first bc it requires damp base. If you don't use HC, then u can simply use it immediately after cleansing ☺️👍
hi there! Niacinamide is basically a form of Vitamin B3. Vitamin B3 is famous for skin flush (it cause your blood vessels to dilate so blood rushes to your skin). But niacinamide doesn't cause flush (its superpower). People's reasoning may be vitamin c plus niacinamide can cause some irritation for sensitive skin. Niacinamide is one of the safest medical substance according to WHO. Don't worry.
I use the powdered vitamin c from The Ordinary, and mix it with a bit of moisturizer, which turns it liquid, then use this as my cleanser. But I don’t use any vit c as a leave on product because apparently c oxidizes so fast it will oxidize while you’re wearing it!
The Cerave HA serum has Alcohol denat. pretty high in the ingredients list, it's the fifth ingredient, that's why I never tried it. Is that not a concern?
Huge difference, they're totally different consistancy, formulation and function. Toner can be all over complexion, acne treatment, pore tightening, skin brightening, hydration, etc depending on the one you choose. It helps the serums and moisturizers absorb into your skin. Serums are typically your active ingredients or prescriptions like BHAs and AHAs. they're your "skin goal products" like anti wrinkle, hydration, spot lightening treatments etc. I'm wondering, if I have a super moisturizing hydrating serum that helps protective skin barrier AND a moisturizing SPF, do I also need a basic moisturizer?
I tried the oat cleansing balm and it was extremely gritty Did I just get a bad one or is yours the same way ?? I wanna get it again because I love the concept but I don't want stuff that is gritty or scrubby
Is the Vitamin C Powder a 20% solution? It says it's 100% on their website, but does that mean you literally put 100% of Vitamin C on your face? Shouldn't the percentage be lower?
@@KennaWhitnell Yes, but after mixing with a water-based serum or toner, what is the final percentage of Vitamin C? How do we know how much Vitamin C we're putting on our face? Does the spoon hold a gram? Does that mean we're getting 10%, 20% or 30% Vit. C? How much water or toner should be added to get the right percentage? How do we calculate it?

Hi Kenna, can you please do a morning skin care routine as well.
Thank you.
Really enjoyed this one.

clip on bangs! its a savior for those days where you want cute bangss
Thanks Kenna. I have a question about cleansers. Do you think it’s beneficial to rotate cleansers that work for you? I’m curious to know.
I just rotate these cleansers because I like using them all for different reasons, but it's not necessary to rotate cleansers you are using. One at a time is ok too!
Quick question- I love Buffet by The Ordinary but I'm not sure where in the routine I should be adding it?

Check out her previous video! It's all about what order to use your products.
I really like this CeraVe eye cream and moisturizer
I use the Cosrx Low pH Good Morning cleanser too

I’ve been wondering about that oat cleansing balm, it’s been sold out on Sephora for so long. Does it emulsify?
It’s back in stock, and it does emulsify. :)

Thanks for sharing :) do you still use InflorEssence? I've loved it ever since you mentioned it

It can definitely help make your products last longer and feel nice and cool on the skin :)
@@KennaWhitnell Thanks! It is nice to have that cooling effect. 😊
I want to try the Inkey List but Shopper’s Drug mart barely has the products in store or online. 😫
I know right!! Hopefully restock soon. Sephora USA has everything but Shoppers is lacking
Does vitamin c powder help with hyperpigmentation? Is it effective
Thank you for sharing! Can you mix the vitamin C powder with water instead of serum?
Yes you can!
Did the niacinimide from the inkey list make you purge at first?
Love this! Thank you for sharing! I need that dr J
art spray

Do you reuse those buffeting pad things?? Like put them in the wash?
Also micro fibers release micro plastics into the water system when you wash them :(
❤️
Why niacinamide towards the end? You’ve said in another video to apply after washing. Is it because you used vitamin C? Please explain the order 🙏🏼
She just prioritize the hyaluronic acid based serum first bc it requires damp base. If you don't use HC, then u can simply use it immediately after cleansing ☺️👍
I’ve heard you can’t use vit c and niacinimide in the same routine from some sources and others say it’s fine. So confusing!

Lab Muffin Beauty has a good video on this topic, definitely recommend checking it out :)
I use that CeraVe moisturizing cream. It's great. Question: What's the difference between toner and serum?
Watch BeautyWithin they will school you on all skincare related. Even Susan Yara

It is a pure powder and then when you mix it with water or a toner it gets diluted!

Ugh neither Dr jart or cerave are cruelty free :( I want those ceramides!
I thought you were not supposed to use the vitamin C powder with niacinamide ?
This is a myth based on old science which has since been disproven! vitamin c and niacinamide are fine to be used together
@@KennaWhitnell thank you for the information

Too many products I think...better to keep it simple...the more different products you use the higher the chance for irritation...
