I took copious notes while listening to this video. Kenna, you just make so much sense and are not pushing $95 creams on us. BRAVO! This video was the best I have heard concerning what exactly does my skin need. It always seems that these skincare commercials keep popping up describing this "magic" oil that will solve all our problems. Even main stream companies come across this way as well. Many of these ingredients are in products from The Ordinary... so I will be placing an order tomorrow!
Well now I'm going to use my aloe plants more. Can you tell me a specific product that isn't real expensive would really help with fine lines? Can you do a video for 10 things you avoid in skincare?
From what I've read retinoids are really good when it comes to fine lines and wrinkles as well as evening the skin. You can buy differin in drugstores and walmart and that contains adapalene which is a retinoid!
I'm hearing really good things about hyaluronic acid for pumping fine lines on reddit in the skincare addiction subreddit. Just a personal anecdote: I used that sephora bday gift the Drunk Elephant protini moisturizer which has ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and a bunch of fantastic ingredients and my skin never looked so good. I had this natural glow and it didn't break me out. Now I'm not necessarily saying it's just this moisturizer, but I suspect all the ingredients I mentioned really helped because I used the Kale Hyaluronic Acid moisturizer by some other brand who's name escapes me and had similar results. Make sure you use hyaluronic acid on wet skin it sounds weird but makes a big difference.

I agree with you on sunscreen. I also once heard a dermatologist saying that the best sunscreen is the one you use. It can be great and safe, but if you end up not using it, because it's thick or too white or whatever, then it's useless 🤷🏻♀️
A lot of people have tested and rated sunscreens in the skincare addiction subreddit on Reddit if you are not sure what one is best! But ya any sunscreen you will actually use is the best sunscreen (except for those cheap brands that aren't actually waterproof)

I think the most important reason why we should be skeptical of those reports about hormonal effects of chemical sunscreen ingredients is that those results have only been demonstrated in vitro, never in vivo (except maybe in mice, which are not people), and that's not because in vivo studies haven't been done - they have and they did not return the same results as the in vitro testing.
I so agree with the aloe vera in skincare. 👍👍👍 My thesis back then was about aloe and skin healing after nasty burns. And I'm not talking about 1st degree burns. The results were amazing. And that is an understatement.
I'd love for you to go into a deeper dive on sunscreen. I personally don't ever wear any, unless I'm on vacation. I just find I don't burn. But I'm curious to know what it really does for our skin and also how to incorporate it into your everyday skincare routine
Can you speak on reapplying sunscreen? The bottles all say to reapply every __ hours but I believe most of us who wear makeup don't do that. What's your take?
Right? Why do I need to reapply every 2 hours? I use the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and it says to reapply every 2 hours. I feel like that would just make me look really cakey.
That recommendation is there for a reason. Obviously, like most products, the effects of sunscreen will wear off after some time. If you are going to be in the sun for prolonged periods of time, it is mandatory to reapply if you wish to maintain an effective barrier between your skin and sun. If you're wearing makeup and are going to be outside for longer than 2 hours, bring other means of protection. Or just try not to wear makeup on days you know you'll be outside for a long time.
I know this might not exactly help, but I really like the tinted Australian Gold mineral sunscreen. It has the texture of a soft velvety primer and dries to a matte finish. Perfect for fair skin especially those with pink or redness in their skin. I could see reapplying it over makeup a bit better than some of the sticky sunscreens.

Hi Kenna. Thank you for creating informative videos. Could you please make a video about natural&organic skincare products? Recently I decided to use only natural&organic skincare products but after watching some videos about them I got confused. Is it just a marketing ploy? I was using rice Bran oil on my hair earlier this year and got good growth results! Interesting to see you mention it here too...or rather the Ferulic Acid
Please do a review/opinion video on The Ordinary and make a suggested skincare regimen of their products! I love their skincare line but it is kinda intimidating to navigate without an extensive knowledge of skin chemistry.
Kenna, can you maybe show us what products you use in your skincare routine and how they connect with the ingredients you look for such as those mentioned here? Or can you give us some examples of looking at an ingredient label and how you break down whether it's what you're looking for? Thanks!
kenna, i would love to hear you address diy/handmade sun screen. so many are getting in on the indie market and think they can make sunscreen as well. there is no way to effectively test these concoctions or to have them blended in the correct way without specialized equipment, to be able to make such products at home. please advise followers to go with professionals for this step, whether they choose chemical or physical sun screen.

Are those natural&organic skincare products thoroughly regulated? And can we trust all these “natural” or “organic” certification labels on the products?
I was using rice Bran oil on my hair earlier this year and got good growth results! Interesting to see you mention it here too...or rather the Ferulic Acid
I absolutely love and look forward to your information and breakdowns of cosmetics! Keep it up and I will keep learning 😁
You're AWESOME! Thank You for sharing your precious time, knowledge, & thoughts with us! Hugs & Blessings 2U!
I'm so glad I came across your channel!
Could you do a video on what you eat in a day??? I feel like you would have a lot of good info on food as well!
This is the content I’m looking for! Thank you!
Your channel is amazing Kenna! Loving it. Learning a ton. Keep it up!
Thanks!
This is such a great video, I never know what to look for.
Please post your skincare routine! ❤️
Awesome video Kenna thankyou!!
*checking all my skincare products as you’re talking* LOVED this video! Great info once again 🙌🏼
kenna, i would love to hear you address diy/handmade sun screen. so many are getting in on the indie market and think they can make sunscreen as well. there is no way to effectively test these concoctions or to have them blended in the correct way without specialized equipment, to be able to make such products at home. please advise followers to go with professionals for this step, whether they choose chemical or physical sun screen.
I love you videos and the effort you put in them 💖 Keep up the great work!
