      It's more disappointing to see that they didn't solve it with new hardware/panels. I purchased a CX last november and wanted to return to wait for better hardware. In the end I kept the CX and now I'm glad I did. Ok the evo has better brightness but the CX also look very good for that matter. And the new game setting menu is nice but nog a must. I don't see why they can't update a menu for CX to give that menu also.

I can't confirm this myself as I only have the C1. It also fixed some the flaws on the CX like the luminance overshoot and gsync flicker. This I can confirm since I don't get those things on my C1. I would definitely not suggest getting the CX when the C1 is available at a similar price. It must be a real bargain to buy it over the C1. There won't be an increase in clarity. But higher peak brightness is not the only difference. Panasonic's cooling tech allows the tv to have a much longer life. Extends the life of the blue pixel and reduces burn in risk dramatically. And yes, actually being able to watch the tv during the day helps. Higher peak brightness allows for a wider color gamut. The C1 will be the same thing as the C9 and CX.
      All of us CX owners would kill for a bit more peak brightness. It is not a small thing. Looking at how good miles morales just looked on his screen..yea there's a noticeable boost in real-scene peak brightness.

    Hi Vincent,
    I am a little confused in what you were trying to say when using the prevent input delay tab. As you mentioned, for standard, the input lag was much lower at 120hz. However, in standard mode, you stated at 120hz, it was 4.8 ms. But then you mentioned it would go up to around 9ms at 120hz in boost mode. Wouldn't the input lag be even lower than 4ms in boost mode at 120hz? Not higher? Thanks.

    • @giggitygooquag
      @giggitygooquag 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The first one was a 4k resolution, the second was a 1080p resolution. When he turned on boost that was only from what he showed a 4k resolution.
      So 4k goes from 12ms to 9 with boost. Look at the resolution when he talks about it. So if boost mode works for 1080p as well likely what you said will be correct.

    • @SuperemeRed

      He used the boost mode on a 60hz signal. But the TV does a trick with boost and treats the 60hz signal as if it were a 120hz signal but the TV displays the 60hz image two times. This might confuse the the Leo Bodnar lag tester. It's hard to say if you are getting true 4.8ms or the double time of 9.6ms.

      I looked into this and for TV's smaller than 65" you can get a generic (and rotatable) stand that attaches to the wall mount bracket on the back. It might wobble a bit - but it's an option other than feet, and allows you to move the TV out of the sun or to face a different seat a bit easier if that is something you wanted to do. I think if you want to buy a BETTER and more expensive option some Monitor mounts may be made to fit - since the GX is reasonably light weight.

    Bah dissapointed what is the point in vrr if your still getting black flicker always a compromise really was looking forward to upgrading to g1 from my lg b7 but still can't justify it still no dts support over earc, vrr flicker, and they obviously havnt quite delivered on the brightness oh well maybe next year. Is there anyone out there that knows if AV recievers add input lag to games in passthrough mode I'd love to know. Cant seem to find definitive evidence based answers anyway ie Leo bodnar test results it would be much appreciated? Vincent your obviously a busy man but if you test this you'd be my hero for life.

    I have a soundbar system with satellite speakers and a sub (5.1 system) it’s hooked up to my Vizio through HDMI Arc and sounds good but my default TV speakers sound bad. I’m getting my LG Oled c1 delivered here tomorrow and the audio specs on the TV look vastly better than my current TV.
    My question is this - If your television has a great audio system built in to it with a bunch of bonuses and stuff, does that translate to a better external audio output? Will my surround sound setup sound even better and clearer?
    My reason for my thought for this is, when the soundbar is connected to the TV then the soundbar is gathering audio from the TV, right? So wouldn’t better base TV audio translate into better sounding audio from speakers hooked up to the TV?
