Especially With The Female officer Saying "I'm afraid I'm we're going to have to arrest the two of you." Before The Final version has the male saying it.
this alternate episode of "The Nasty Patty" is way better than the actual episode itself. this video is way more funny and had alot more better lines that never got said.
I love how there are things here that dont appear in the episode, it's extra content for a nostalgic media. Giving us a new twist. I also gotta say i like those new shots that werent in the episode like Krabbs in his office to get the nails is still in the office when he brings out his gymsock or when we have the upwards angle of Krabbs when he said something is wrong. Personally i find it superior because it looks dramatic. Also i really like that the police do get suspicious and even calls out Krabbs on his bribing. Also the touch where they give a moment's thought over "Two guys trying to bury a body".
Also the ending was so much better than the final. It implied that the man really did die into a zombie, but when he was brought back to life they all hugged it out in a sorta happy ending. In the final ending it just becomes a “Health Inspector Torture Porn”, beating him up for no reason. The original version was heartwarming and cheesy, but in an ironic way it was kinda funny. Nothing about the door slamming into a nice injured man’s face was funny, like at all. Made he feel sad for the poor man if anything. In short compared to the storyboard version of “Nasty Patty”, the final one sucks.
I'm guessing that standards might have had an issue with the image of the inspector holding what looks like a knife or sword and seemingly about to kill them, though really I'm just speculating
Mr. Krabs: “SpongeBob My Boy, It LOOKS Like This Is The END! I’ll SEE Ya At ‘Neptune’s Garden’.” SpongeBob: “I Don’t Suppose I Can USE The ‘Employee Restroom’ One LAST TIME?”
Officer o'mally: What's the hold up back there? Krabs: Uuuh the boys having a little trouble. Officer o'mally: Well let me get out and help. Krabs: No no no, he's too proud to accept any help. He wouldn't let me help if both his legs were broken. Officer o'mally: They don't make them like that anymore. Krabs: That's for sure.
I do see a pro and a con in this alternate ending. Pro: the health inspector stopped being a butt-monkey Con: police officers chickening out in their line of duty.
To be fair the police officers were already slack in the normal episode because they failed to notice the obvious suspicion and when Spongebob and Krabs did confess they didn’t take it very seriously at all. It was funny, yes, but not enough to justify turning the episode into a torture p*rn through and through for an innocent health inspector.
hmm i like the beginning that aired on tv instead of this beginning. i think it does a better job of contextualizing the situation if that makes any sense. the original is kinda awkward
Since the music and SFX hasnt been added yet for this storyboard and only the voice acting is in place, it'll be great to create new music for this episode. Other than that, one of my favorite episodes I've seen!
Not to mention that the female cop's line 'Hop in, we'll give you a lift back. You can pay off your debt to society with hard labor.' was removed in the final cut. Plus, the female cop said 'Put that muddy shovel in the trunk and (let's get going).' In the final cut, she said the same line but replaced 'let's get going' with 'we'll give ya a ride back'.
"We just got word of two ghouls burying a stiff over by Shadow Grave Road." They were the only cops (and people) to have come across those "two ghouls" (Krabs and Spongebob) by that exact location mere minutes ago so how are the police just now getting this report? Unless they're suggesting that someone else was there at the site catching the two in the act and went over to the police department to report them, then I'm calling shenanigans.
There was a third witness who saw them from a distance and called it in. Given the name "shallow grave road", this place has a history of being used to dispose corpses, so it's likely people will have had an eye out for suspicious behavior in the area
I think I can get behind some moments being cut, I greatly prefer the more straight and to the point approach over further detail approach, which would plague modern Spongebob.
For me at lest, this storyboard version of this episode has a better intro than in the finale cut. Why would the writers of the show decided to remove the casual, day in a life introduction of the health inspector and replace it with a instantly gratificating scene that screams 'Look, this is the guy you should know!' Though I do find it funny that Mr Krabs could smell the scent of a health inspector, it ruins the pacing and tone via over the top shoving the plot in your face. I feel like this intro would tonally fit more with the theme of this ep, making the audience connected with the every day work then contrast it with the grimmer twist in the middle.
It's crazy how much was cut out in the final broadcast, watching this is almost like finding a lost episode from some alternate dimension.
Especially With The Female officer Saying "I'm afraid I'm we're going to have to arrest the two of you." Before The Final version has the male saying it.
“Hey is this some sort of bribe?”
“In fast food, we prefer to call it a promotion.”
“A promo- a promo- a promotion?!”
@@skyhawk401 Get back to work, Mr. Squidward.
wow, they almost had a joke where spongebob reaches into his pants to pull out the nasty patty, but then he pulls it out of his sock.
They should of kept that joke 🤣
Yeah
“Now that’s just nasty.”
Maybe it was cut because it was inappropriate
Dude if they kept that joke the show would of have been canceled (Which It was supposed to be anyway)
Jeez, the health inspector was a lot more serious and harsh here, treating his meal like a crime scene or science experiment.
At least he gave them a group hug at the end
@@cringposter1880 Probably to avoid getting roughed up again...

True they better go remake this because I'm very interested.
nah with all those concussions it makes more sense for the health inspector to be a dizzy lil guy by the end
Every time I watch these storyboards and see all the extra stuff I think it’s pretty funny but the final usually has a lot better timing.
The original ending seems to imply that the health inspector suffered brain damage from all the blows to the head given his loopy demeanor.
it's amazing to see how different one of my favorite episodes originally was
I like how the inspector was meticulious and professional in his work
this alternate episode of "The Nasty Patty" is way better than the actual episode itself. this video is way more funny and had alot more better lines that never got said.
The beginning and end for sure. Would’ve definitely enjoyed the “backing up” joke and group hug at the end.

That up shot of the Krusty Krab where lightning flashed, all that's missing is a castle thunder sound effect.
This just in frozen dead health inspectors are prone to become zombies. And now back to you Jackie.
to be honest this ending is better the original I don't know why they removed it from the episode.
Yeah, that ending is much better.
@@WhoBobWhatPants one question where exactly did you find this storyboard voice over? was it on a sb dvd? or did you just find it?

Cranky The Crane Productions it's because it was too long and they had to remove it and use the footage they already had for this episode.
