G-Idle didn't come to play, they fucking came to slay us with their visuals, vocals, sets, talent, like bruh they came back more pretty dangerous especially SOYEON!! She just argh! No words can explain how good she is!

Don't look at this song in a western perspective. I-DLE is from a conservative country (Korea). You say 'tomboy' to a woman who doesn't necessarily appear nor act feminine. Soyeon composed this song to say that's it's neither a man nor a woman, just I-dle. They will love and embrace themselves for who they are and what they are capable to do, even if they're not conforming with what society tells them to do as girls/woman.
(There are also few female producers in Korea, and I-DLE members are one of those, mainly Soyeon)
That's why 'G' in (G)I-DLE is missing in all the visuals, mainly because of two reasons:
1) G stands for six (6), but now they're only five.
2) G stands for 'girl'. They don't want to box themselves, they want to break gender stereotypes.
As a korean, I agree to this. Whenever women cuts her hair short, or stand out a bit, or smoke&drink a lot, etc., people say that's not a girl-ish way to do or 선머슴('tomboy' in translation).

@@kiane_elize2278 It really doesn't look like western translation for the word "Tomboy" however it is stated in the lyrics itself and the visuals in the mv that they are not feminine nor masculine. They are just I-DLE. So yeah, this was a little flop.
the weird "i like dancing i love my friends sometimes we swear without cigerettes" is actually a reference to soojin since she was the main dancer, they were close friends, and soojin once was accused of swearing and smoking (which sadly are kinda big deals for kpop idol lol)
and "i like to eh" the eh is the censored word for sex😂 the cd only version of the song is uncensored

I also noticed the part where they released the heart shaped balloons in the air, if you actually count there are six of them, which is either a shoutout to soojin or a message that says that they have to let go of these six hearts to move on.
