'NDA has won, but BJP has lost': Eedina.com's H.V. Vasu on 2024 Lok Sabha election

- Riding on the support of the Janata Dal (Secular), the BJP restricted the Congress to a mere nine Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka. Of the 28 seats in the State, the BJP won 17 while the JD(S) secured two. With this result, the voters of Karnataka remained faithful to the historical pattern established in 2004 of emphatically providing more seats to the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections when compared to the preceding Legislative Assembly election.
During the election campaign, Eedina.com's research head H.V. Vasu predicted a possible tally of nine seats for the Congress, with close bipolar contests in another 12 seats. In this interview with Frontline's Vikhar Ahmed Sayeed, Vasu discusses the general election results in Karnataka, what were the factors that influenced the outcome, and more.

Modi on the job as PM, after 10 years in the office, may fail to qualify for the third time as PM.
• Modi's history is not fully above board and has gaps.
• His education level and academic achievements are questioned by many. There are glimpses of the same slipping out to strengthen that view although no way of confirming.
• He was not a elected member of the assembly at the time of, or ever before that, swearing in as the CM of Gujarat. It was parallel entry.
• It is reported that he was going to be sacked, during the first term in office as CM, for lack of sensitivity and accountability in handling explosive law & order situation and the disaster. This was going to happen as per the assessments done by respected and well versed party leadership.
• In his entire time in electoral competitive politics he was never a participant in a coalition govt or as opposition.
• He is experienced in heading only mojority govts that ruled unchallenged. He is known to employ dubious tactics in the presentation and passing of the law
• He displays a strong sense of righteousness in his actions and decisions even when they are not conforming with the established rules & conventions and with the constitution
• He is known to carry strong biases and prejudices while fullfiling constitutional duties and responsibilities as the head of govt. To an extent that might cast doubts about his education, training and understanding of the formalities and protocols
• Inconsistencies in his views, speech, action and policies are obvious in some instances to an extent that his integrity becomes questionable for an ordinary citizen who look up to him
• He has frequently made factual errors attributable only to his complete lack of awareness about ordinary topics
• His manner of work organisation, setting up the networks, getting the work done etc often smacks of arm twisting, blackmailing, match fixing as well as misuse of office, position and previleges that come with it
• Often his statements and mannerisms in public are crude and perhaps less dignified and do not measure up to the standards of ethics and stature of the PM
• He often seeks to undermine the role and importance of not only the opposition but his own colleagues in the cabinet
• His obsession about rival political family, personality etc makes it compulsive for him to be benchmarking them for his and his govt's actions & performance. He doesn't seem to grow out.
• He says he follows competitive federalism and he fails to describe it, while his actions point in different direction. He doesn't know what he speaks
• He has gone on record in front of the camera as to how he was realising that he was of non biological origin and saw himself in the role of God Sent figure to fulfil certain devine goals.
• He said he hails from a very poor family.
This is the kind of person entrusted to take India forward in 21st century for the third time in a row.

You have all rights to pen down your opinion. Last 10 years, India has developed multl-fold times . That is why, NDA has won for the 3rd time in a row and majority of the Indians knew that India is much safer with BJP than Congress. Modi government is a hell for people who dont follow rules, who is trying to sneak behind the back doors. Common man like you and me should pay bribe for even a demand which ruling parties are supposed to fulfil. For all such corrupt parties, corrupt offices Modi 3.0 is a blow. Majority of the Indians wanted a bold personality who is trying his hard to eradicate deep rooted corruption. Thank you for all the people who elected NDA stands for the development of the country and wanted corrupt free governance. With full heart felt gratitude, we welcome our beloved PM for the third time.
