- Elder Rasband's talk was given on October 28, 2021.
Elder Ronald A. Rasband was named an Apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on October 3, 2015.
Elder Rasband was serving as the senior president in the Presidency of the Seventy at the time of his call to the Twelve.
Elder Rasband was called as the Senior President of the Presidency of the Seventy on April 4, 2009. He had been serving as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy since 2005. He was named a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 1, 2000. He has served as a counselor in the Europe Central Area Presidency, president of the Utah Salt Lake City Area, and Executive Director of the Temple Department. He has also supervised the North America West, Northwest, and three Utah Areas as a member of the Presidency of the Seventy.
Elder Rasband attended the University of Utah. In 1995, Utah Valley University awarded him an honorary Doctorate of Business and Commerce. In 1976 he joined Huntsman Container Company as a sales representative, and in 1987, he was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer of Huntsman Chemical Corporation.
When he left Huntsman Chemical Corporation in 1996 to serve as a mission president in New York, he was also serving as a member of the Board of Directors.
Elder Rasband has held numerous Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Eastern States Mission (1970-1972), Temple Square missionary guide, bishop, and member of the Church’s Sesquicentennial Committee. He presided over the New York New York North Mission from 1996 to 1999.
Elder Rasband was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1951. He married Melanie Twitchell in 1973. They are the parents of five children and have twenty-two grandchildren.

I couldn't agree more! I trust that the prophet and apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints hold the keys of those who lived on the earth at the time of Jesus Christ. With those keys (priesthood power), they can seal families together FOREVER. What a great blessing it is for me to know this.

Thanks for the reminder that, though I suffer the pains of this world, I have an older brother and Heavenly Father that is aware of all my circumstances and loves me and is always by my side, to lift me, protect me and give my soul their love. Go bless you for your service to them. ❤

There were so many times I could not see the reason behind my own sins, shortcomings, and struggles, but turning to Christ has taught me that those difficult times were creating a testimony that is capable of withstanding anything! If you are hurting or struggling, turn to Lord Jesus Christ. He will not only heal you, but I promise you he will ensure those trials are for your good and benefit if you follow him. What a blessing the gospel is, I'm so grateful for it. It is my life, because it saved my life - more than once! When you feel like the trial is more than you can bear, turn to the Lord to lift you up, and share your burden. He loves you and wants to help and give you peace. God bless the Leaders of this Church and the People ❤ in Jesus name, Amen.

the lord the god of Abraham Isaac Jacob blessed those who will obey his servant in abundance because the weaked will not hear his voice because they think they have it all together he give abd take away from those who no longer served him for his own purpose ....blessed be the name of the lord and glory to the father forever and ever amen. when a leader speak with his heart the audience can not be desieved by his character " hear I'm a medical master" not with the heart but credentials that is the different between god and man in jesus name amen. it is better for a camel to go trough a eye of a nitle than a rich man into celestial kingdom ...bur rich is not to the holy priesthood because all is his my lord my god amen.

Our goodness does us NO good in God's eyes. The Lord Jesus Christ came to earth to accomplish the FINISHED work for salvation. Iam righteous because HE paid my entire sin debt to God. God sees me in heaven even NOW.

I was at a meeting OF MANY FAITHS where as it closed we were to say a prayer..WE WERE Forbidden TO SAY A PERSONAL PRAYER.
WE WERE TOLD IT MUST BE A SET Prayer.
I REFUSED. I LEFT IN SILENCE.

What is the name of the true church that Jesus built.
The church donated hundreds of millions of dollars in disaster aid, welfare, education, etc.
I don't understand how any intelligent individual wouldn't believe it because it is absolutely true and any honest person can know for themselves if they will just ask God in the name of Christ with faith they can know by the power of the Holy Ghost that it is true. Amen.
quite simple. we use our minds. Disobeying a righteous God is never the right decision. therefore 2nd Nephi 2 is false doctrine. thus, the LDS church is not the true church.
@sertinduhm6378 sorry but you couldn't be more wrong and the day will come if not in this life then the next when all things will be made known and every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ, may you find the truth in this life when you have the free agency to do so and before you are brought before Him on the judgment day.

It literally states that it was a good thing that Adam fell, i.e. disobeyed God. in fact, most of 2nd Nephi 2 is an attempted justification of this disobedience. if you take 2nd Nephi 2, to be true, than at least 1 of your articles of faith is wrong too. see verses 21 and 26.

I just actually yook the time to read what the book actually says. 2nd Nephi 2:25 Adam fell (disobeyed God) that men might be (in order for men to be established.) and men are that they might have joy. ( and this is a good thing, because men can now have joy.) This verse heavily contradicts another verse later in the BOM where it states "wickedness never was happiness."

"I the Lord God visit my people in their afflictions". It is comforting to know that God is with us especially in the most difficult times of our lives to confort, strngth and provide the reassurance that we are not alone. He is with us. We need to focus on the Savior rather than in our difficulties. He will guide us always.

I understand that Peter may have been told by the Savior that he would deny Him to keep Peter safe, so he could continue to lead the Church after the death of Jesus Christ. That possibility is suggested by Pres. Kimball in his talk "Peter My Brother". That is so much more in keeping with Peter's character, than being weak at the moment of pressure. When he went out to weep, it very likely could have been for being asked to deny Jesus instead of being asked to stand up for Him. Just hours before Peter had faced men with swords, ready to protect our Savior. I am very uncomfortable with speakers referring to Peter as an example of weakness under pressure. I don't believe that is true.

I found this tallk in the middle of looking for music and I had to stop and listen to this wonderful talk. I noticed that Elder Rasband and like the same songs, like I Stand All Amazed and I Know That My Redeemer Lives.. These songs have helped me gain my own testimony of Jesus Christ and his glorious plan of Salvation. He truly does live, always ❤❤❤. 😊

he who understand the scriptures on this latter days almighty god blessed them in all things that joseph smith is the insight to the nations on this latter days 2 nephi 21 ...if the leadership doest talk about this prophecy they live under satan lied in jesus name amen.
