Is there a way to get the same effect with something stronger to hold the hair? My hair will break the pins in half or make them pop out of my hair within like 3 minutes... (I have thick, wavy, coarse hair. It would also break the elastic you used.)
Probably hair spray and tougher elastics if you can find any. You could also try cutting three different elastic bands, and then braiding them together and connecting the ends by knotting them to create a (hopefully) stronger elastic yourself. Good luck!
@@breezystl777 In the video, it looks like U pins are used which I find are far better at holding hair than closed bobby pins. Once you have the knack, the style 'should' feel supported and the pins were also used to hold a lot of heavy vintage hairstyles, back in the day.😊
