Dale, I am also an ex Tesla Model S owner, who sold it to buy my Polestar 2, just over 2 years and 25,000 miles ago. I agree with everything you say. I loved my Model S, although it was certainly too big a car. My problems were only ever with the company, not the vehicle. They are both excellent cars, and I do miss my Model S. On balance though I agree with you that the P2 is, overall, a better car. It has more goodies, is better built; my P2 is certainly a lot niftier off the line than my old MS, and it has some key features (360º view, speed limiter etc) that surprisingly the Tesla didn’t have. I am happy I made the change. I don’t fret about the efficiency. On long journeys I drive for a bit, then top up whilst I am having a coffee. I don’t really care how much battery it has used to get there.
Thanks for watching and commenting Iain, and also thanks for chatting all those years ago on the FB Group when I was asking if you regretted moving from the MS to the P2, I don't regret the decision, and makes deciding what I might get next even harder.
I can honestly say I have never had an issue. Sure we could do with more chargers, and occasionally stuck at a 50kW charger, but overall I just go and charge as and when. Even North Wales was ok, but agree alot less charging infrastructure there. Only time I really plan is when I am towing my camper, as like to find a place I can un-hitch as well.
Your negative point 2 , is irrelevant. As Polstar was sold to the Chinese, before the Chinese bought, Volvo. Although both are now sister companies owned by the Chinese. However Polstar started out as a sport production branch of Volvo. Hence the past is the past, and Polstar is now solely an Electrical Car (EV) Manufacturer.
Thanks for sharing your opinion. As mentioned point 2 for me was the sedate throttle response, and the fact Polestar has performance heritage, it surprises me they take a less performance biased throttle response.

Thanks for your thoughts of life with the Polestar 2 👍
No problem 👍
Didn't hear any mention of charging infrastructure on long journeys. Wales is a particular issue.
Yep agree, I’m not a massive fan of my Tesla it has its issues, but no other car could do what it can, due to the Super Charger network.
Super charger network is super handy for sure, however as they continue to open up to Non Tesla's it gets better for everyone.

Its so difficult to find a review where someone samples the siren sound.
