If there is one thing predictable about Joseph Arthur, it is that he is completely unpredictable. Musically, at least, he may be the most mercurial person I've ever encountered.
I like how you all hate this version of the song, it has so much more edge and energy than the studio version in my opinion!! But he nails it everytime on Letterman, Travel As Equals is also way better in the Letterman live version!!
what are you talking about man... he has performed this song probably 1000 times and he has done a really cool and different remake here! it sounds great. I do agree about the band tho, I might prefer a solo JA... his band makes his music... even stranger than normal lol. JA rocks!
the chick on bass is very shimmy and slinky without playing very much. still a very sincere performance though.. if you want something to cry about you should go to a kings of leon show - teeny bopper heaven, so depressing
Gets better each time you listen❤
I miss these guys, may God's love be with them all.
Loved the Lonely Astronauts as backing band
I felt in love with the blondie girl. I can see her enjoying the song!

As a fellow singer songwriter i am always blown away by Arthurs talent and songs plus hes a pretty snazzy dresser!
Found him via fretboard Journal, as I dive a little deeper into his music I realize how legit he is. Brilliant stuff.
AWESOME version...Joseph A. is an amazing artist
love it...

Great song and great performance. Can't believe this is 10 years ago. I remember recording it. Is that Jennifer Turner on the left?
Yes!!
GREAT! Thanks for posting.
Bellissimo!
