I like how you all hate this version of the song, it has so much more edge and energy than the studio version in my opinion!! But he nails it everytime on Letterman, Travel As Equals is also way better in the Letterman live version!!

@matiancai74 noticed it too when he played it in the AB (Bxl, BE) but a few months later I saw some more recent live versions with the phrase "Jesus is my only friend" again included in the song... A sudden lack of faith? maybe On the other hand, he changed some other lyrics on the road (smile that explodes => diamonds/flowers in your hair...) Who will tell?
