    People have mentioned it before, but maybe bring some guests or show ideas of how to style things for different body types because what looks good on you... will not necessarily look good on other body types. And I know there are sooo many different types it’s hard to do them all but I think it would be awesome!😁

      What I noticed to her is that she is always in this kind of styles in her videos. Tops and pants only,not even combination of other kinds of outfits like skirts,dresses with what kind of footwear and accessories. I’m not bashing her I just noticed it😉

    • @briyee-sandoval1071
      @briyee-sandoval1071 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      I've noticed that too! A lot of her tips tend to be geared toward her body type. I have a long torso, so tucking shirts in never really work for me because they're usually not long enough for me to do that. A while back she also did a video on dressing for a small bust size. And I totally understand that that's what she knows how to style since that's what she's working with. But wouldn't it be fun if she threw on the larger cup size and stuff them so she could do another video on styling for us DDD ladies? Just putting that out there.

    Shea you shared some Military Clothing "maneuvers"!! Lining the buttons of your shirt with your pants button & zipper is called The Gig line. We also line our belts & they have to face the same direction. The cuff is also based on a military cuff. Only we fold the top part back over- it creates a clean look. The Belt & sweater trick you used is called "blousing" , we actually have velcro blousing straps for different uses. Military Men have shirt suspenders that they wear under their pants that attach their shirts to their socks to keep them tucked in & professional looking! Yep, You nailed the Military Tricks & didn't even realize it!!

    Great suggestions! When I'm in a store , I take a full hand of the material, and make a fist, hold it for a few seconds and release. It's a great test to see if the item is going to wrinkle!

    Hi Shea, your tip to shorten a jumper reminded me of a tip we used at high school. Instead of the belt and jumper, use a long T-shirt and elastic band tied around your waist and tuck the T-shirt back up into the elastic. You can make all T-shirt cropped.

    Leggings, long boots and an oversized light colored sweater can be a great practical Scandinavian look for fall and winter. Add a raincoat or a longer winter jacket, depending on the weather conditions. Add nice hair and a modest make up and nice earrings and you may even look elegant😊 Imagine a single mom who battles the changing weather, takes her kid to kindergarden, runs errands, does groceries, goes to work. She needs to choose the basic look that carries her through the weeks, the seasons as her budget is very small.

    Poplin! If you see the word poplin in a listing or description or a garment, it’ll be wrinkled constantly. It’s the flattest weave so it’s extremely prone to creasing and wrinkles.

    That was great! And regarding the wrinkle problem, someone told me once that while you're in the store just wad the material into a ball in your hand. If it wrinkles, you know it will while you're wearing it. Also certain fabrics wrinkle easier, like Linen!

    • @bethneumann87
      @bethneumann87 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have a tip! It's simple but I like to make sure my pants are the same color as my booties, black for example, and make sure your pant bottoms are tucked into the bootie, so you want a skinny leg for that. It also works with a more relaxed cut when you roll up the bottoms about an inch above the top of the booties. Both, especially the skinny jeans/leggings really elongate the leg and give a really nice streamlined look! Just thought I'd share😊.

    You are so right about the wrinkled shirts! When I'm shopping, if I see a shirt that has a ton of wrinkles in it and made of a certain fabric (not quite sure what the fabric is), I know that it's going to be one of those shirts that immediately gets wrinkled after I put it on. It doesn't matter if it's the cutest shirt in the world. I know it's going to be more of a headache to wear, so I don't buy it. The same goes for clothes that are made of a material that attracts all sorts of pet hair, lint, and fuzzies. I have cats, so I know that if I were to buy that item, I would be constantly lint rolling myself, so I leave it at the store.

      I agree 100%. I try to dress as stylish as I can within my budget and body shape. But I'm almost never trendy in my clothes. You could look at pictures of me 20 years ago and I wouldn't be horrified. I know the idea is to maybe have one of two trendy items a season. However, I'm an hourglass shape and many trendy clothes wouldn't look good on my body type anyway. So I don't force a trend if it won't look good on me. Low rise jeans would be obscene on me. So that's a never. I'm glad you posted this for people who might not know the difference.

    I’m old school. I don’t understand the concept of tucking sweaters into pants. It looks stupid to me, worse than wearing an oversized sweater. I would just buy a sweater that fits or just go with the oversized comfy sweater look.

    Hi Shea - will you please please do a video on dress pants fashion/tips? I have a really hard time finding dress pants that fit me. I’d also like some recommendations on where I can find some good fitting dress pants. I’m probably about your size. Skinny with long legs. And I have to dress business professional every day :/

    Nice trick on the shirt/belt. Will it make me look fat? Amazon has sleeve garters that will work like the hair tie. They don't look terrible if they show so I prefer them.

    Another wrinkle tip: In the store, grab a section of the blouse and squeeze it in your fist for a count of 10. You'll see how badly it will wrinkle when you wear it.

    thank you for the t shirt info. I am 66 and know I can,t show my tummy, I am also petite and all shirts are to long on me. I really like the tie it to belt loop. Also is just tucking the whole shirt in a yes or no?
