From what I’ve heard, the fortnite rockets have less of a spin due to the more straighter fins compared to the regular demolisher rockets’, so that could be a reason for the inaccuracy.
@@BaconCheesesteak I’m guessing no. It would have to very oddly shaped and I don’t think rockets have as much power as darts do compared to its mass. Of course this is just speculation but I think that the spin that older rockets give is enough to keep it fairly accurate
Found this video later than most. But I've been working on a replacement back end for it to turn it into a proper springer. The problem I'm running into is designing a priming mech that'll work with the under barrel prime. Gearing it seems like the primary solution, but then there would need a full priming rod and gear train and a way to keep the rotation mech intact, then there's the catch/trigger that can handle the spring weight required to fire rockets at a respectable fps....
Very awesome build. From the perspective of those of us that haven’t done much modding (but enough to know how difficult it can be), you give yourself too little credit. That blaster looks rad and it is totally gnarly (slang to go with the paint scheme😂)
I'm tired of people acting like this isn't impressive. This is just pure Wizardry! People say my Wildfire mods are impressive but this just blows it out of the water! Keep up the good work and please show more of this!
I was a bit unsure about getting one because I'm not a Fortnite fan, so I didnt see why I would want Fortnite merch, but now seeing its mod potential, I need one.
Love this mod! The rate of fire should be fine, if you need a full auto grenade launcher in nerf you have probably made some questionable tactical decisions.
Great video. That’s a pretty good solution. Best rocket launcher ever is still the Ultimator though it was the least stealthy blaster ever also. Keep up the great work sir.
That is the sweetest thing I have ever seen to be honest with you I was watching one of welcomes videos and I was thinking about the same thing but not a magic strike I was thinking of using a rapid fire 20 but now that I see what it looks like with a magstrike I'm in love pretty cool mod I give you props
It took me awhile to finally get a chance to sit down and watch this video. I’m not even half way through and I’m just gonna say it... “brilliant”. Impractical? Meh 🤷♂️ Cool as heck? Yes! 🤠👍👍
Quick action gas valve solenoid connected to a secondary gas chamber... 1st chamber holds the gas supply, 2nd chamber cycles and fires the rocket. That way the system is constantly charged. Lower cycle times, like a big ass paintball gun.
Has this kind of system ever been done before? Because this is so brilliantly simple and now I want to try designing a 3D print custom that works like this but with regular darts. The concept of battery-powered systems that aren't flywheelers is something I'm really interested in and this is a whole new way to do it
Wow, that was an excellent explanation of how to do a compressored magstrike. I’m guessing you would get better performance with a rigid tank (like a titan or similar) instead of a bladder like the magstrike, but air blasters aren’t my strong suit. One person on Facebook noticed that the fins on the rockets the GL comes with aren’t angled, which could explain some of your accuracy issues. (Although demo rockets aren’t really an accurate ammo type to begin with) All in all a very impressive build and I love the Behemoth of a blaster you’ve turned it into.
Nerf isn't one of my hobbies per se, but I love the mechanical complexity of these 'toys'. Also, I have an idea for this thing. Essentialy, air is delivered from a paintball tank, and the drum is spring wound, [same as real steel]. Delete 90% of that 'barrel', leaving just enough to remount the foregrip. Effectively semi-auto, zero barrel drag. Thoughts anyone?
Could you make a video or post something regarding the paints/methods you use? I’ve heard you say you use a vinyl dye, but I’m really unfamiliar with anything other than a typical rattle can, and the colors you use are AMAZING!!
Hey before I attempt this MOD, did you try upgrading the stock internals first and just werent happy with the results bringing about this mod? Or were you just like oh no, I know just what this needs! Compressed air! I'm wondering if a Rapid Fire 20 could be a good match. I dont currently own one at this time but theres one for sale for $20 I may grab unless someone says "no that wont work at all" or otherwise. I have a mazooka but I'd hate to rape it just for the internals...wouldn't be worth it.
AFAIK the bladder system of the Magstrike isn't ideal for single projectiles, since it can't release all its air at once like a rigid tank. But with the straight-finned Fortnite rockets, increasing the power might just drop accuracy even further.
recently acquired 1 of these & it does not fire. the indexing works but will not fire ... not worked on 1 of these before so any advice would be appreciated, please
yeah I guess on the new nerf stuff you should do the screws by hand. my pharaoh had the plastic melt and freeze the screws in place from using a power drill. one screw was stuck and I pushed it out and the screw head popped off. another one I had to drill the head off to get it out.
@@Rancid_Ninja yeah prob the way to go. I usually do by hand anyway but I never had the plastic melt like that with other blasters I opened and closed with my power drill
I wondered why noone did this yet and then I found your channel this video got my sub lol this thing is sick!,p.s the new rockets are crap they dont have angles stab fins so they dont spin like the old ones
Btw if I remember correctly one of Cap X's vids on rockets he found out you can put direct orders on Buzzbee rockets on their website for $1 a piece (don't quote me on that).
