It’s always funny how everyone says 450s are too fast and dangerous and that no one needs a 450 power. But as soon as one comes out that has rideable, controllable power, the same people dog on it saying it’s slow 😵💫
Usually the bikes that they say are slow are also the bikes that they say handle the best. For years now.
Well makes sense when ya consider it in riding scenario. Thing is KTM & Yamaha handle very well too w/best in class power. 💯 -NW Ohio
The 19-23 needed more fork oil. They came specd on the low end. Great bike once fixed. Reminds me of the 06-08 Honda 450
JE Pro Piston + bit more fuel and advance on ignition will be enough to fix the Kawi :)
How bout new pipe /rear sprocket swap? Hate open motor on all new bike. Bothers me it's *heaviest in class* more so than not *most power* . All basically have plenty of power. -NW Ohio

That's really a shame unless this all new '24 Kawi is really, really good overall. Would the KTM & Yamaha engines last longer between rebuild considering all had proper basic maintenance practices? Thanks 👍🏻
Unanimously everyone says front end is much better on 24 kx450f but honestly the stock fork on 19 to 23 was crazy soft and divey. It was first thing I changed on my 2021 and it made a big difference in handling. The 24 kx has same forks basically with extra shim in low speed valve and few other changes to stiffen fork. If you did same mods to forks on a 19 to 23 it would help that bike too. If I buy a new kx id love to compare it against my 21 kx.
Honestly right now im leaning towards a new yz450f just for the better resale value. I cant get 4500 bucks out of my 21 kx450f and it looks and runs like new.
Same here in UK. A two year old KX halves in value and are about £500 cheaper than the equivalent Yams, maybe even a little more.
Yep, the Yamahas are worth $1500 more around here at 2-3yrs old.
Bring that Kawi to Argentina you can get 12k for it easy. Brand new Kawis are 20k here lmao.
@@UNITEWEMUST Wow that is pricy! I did try trading bike in. First salesman said 4500 trade after sending pictures, but when I was about drive 3 hours to buy new bike salesman said it came back at 3k. Hard pass for me.

As an older rider, it sounds great to me. Slow down low, ride like a 250? What’s that mean? More shifting? Most tracks near me are small, and I’m not fast for long, so maybe a great fit, realistically.
Means you don't have to respect the power as much & can ride it harder/more aggressively. I went from a 450 Husky to 350 GASGAS for that exact reason.

Ill get a 25 when they fix the motor lol.
So I buy a $12k motorcycle and I have to tear the engine apart and change the piston?? About as bad as buying a KTM then spend $ to put springs in the forks

@@Markjacobs4477 I can also guarantee you don't need that extra 3 horsepower and matter of fact your not using half the potential of any of the 450s so any amateur returning a 450 because it's not fast enough for them is dreaming or living in a fantasy land where they are alot better than they actually are
