@judygriffing1276 Thank you, Judy! I like making these videos! I have my eye on a few more items at the thrift store. They had the cutest little vintage nightstand that would have made a great "coffee station". I am trying to make more floor room in my home to be able to add an item like that. I am dreaming of Fall and all of the cozy things! Have a fantastic weekend!
Or you could just fold a towel to fit in the gap between the storm and entry door; I use old puppy pee pads. Towels or pads absorb the water (or snow) that get pushed through the bottom during severe storms and then are just dumped in the wash. Regarding mushrooms (which you've commented about on prior videos), grab as many as you can at your food pantry, then sauté them and store in your fridge, freezer or your friend's unit. Mostly water, they reduce down to almost nothing and take up very little fridge real estate, last a long time and are fantastic to add to any protein that might appear.
@christianschelthoff9001 Thank you for your great suggestions! I like the puppy pee pad idea, especially for snow season. Sometimes the thrift store has pee pads so that is something I can be on the lookout for. I do like mushrooms and will have to give your saute to freezer idea a try.
@DisabledandPrepping Thank you! That's a good idea! I don't have an iron right now, but it's on my list to find at the Thrift Store. I like the paper bag doormat because water does not soak all the way through, so it provides an "extra layer" of protection.
clever! when i microwave, i put a plastic lid on top of the food, it doesn't spatter and i can just wash the lid. good idea using the paper bag to make a mat for the entry.
@karenjones1897 Thank you! I like these "paper" doormats because they actually don't let the water seep through. I think I better get one of those plastic lids for the microwave! That is a smart kitchen gadget to have.
@kathymccoy5935 That is great! I love thrift store hauls and often the quality is just as good as brand new items! Although we are in the middle of Summer, I am planning for Winter and my thrift store is a great place to get prepared.
@judiklaus5291 Oh I know it's a challenge living with a mini fridge when it decides to freeze the wrong things! I picked up a small cooler at the thrift store and wonder how that might work using it for veggie storage with ice packs. How are you managing with your mini fridge?
Thanks for the tip
@kathymccoy5935 You welcome!
Love 💞 your positive attitude. Just make it work is a perfect statement
Thank you! I love to use what I got and make it work!
Hiya Sarah! I like these videos, and you scored at the thrift store again! Hope you have a great weekend. 👋🏻

Love your videos and that you use what you already have
@sharoncook8020 Thank you so much! I enjoy thinking of ideas, especially FREE ideas!
Have you tried ironing it to flatten it out. Cause I know that works on other papers. But that's a very good use for it.

@@CareFreeLivingChannel i just use one that comes with the plastic box/lids sold by glad. i bet you can find one for next to nothing.
@@karenjones1897 Oh I'll lookout for it, thank you, Karen!
I use wax paper to cover what I put in the microwave. I can use the same piece of wax paper multi times before I need to throw it away.
Thank you for letting me know! I have not tried that before!
I went to the thrift store found a skirt and sweater
