Looking at dipping my toes into DMing for the first time, and thought about doing Out of the Abyss as my first campaign. This video definitely has helped out make my decision.
Did you end up running it?? How did it go? I'm a first time DM and have been discouraged from running this mod since it's so expansive, and NPC heavy. I'm reading the book anyway, and I'm in love with the setting, and plot.
Amazing ideas. Thanks... I am fascinated with the underdark, the madness,faersrezz etc... the last 2 months I am reading the modual and the books of the homecomming series about drizzt duerden in the underdark. I still don't feel prepared to start the campaign with my players... I just love to paint a interesting picture of the places, so that they want to explore them by ther own intention :D
I agree with you. The idea that even I, at times feel unprepared for such a complex story such as this one. That feeling fades as I sit at the table and begin the adventure.
