I was playing right along with you and did exactly what you did and my cure percentage was at 75% when yours was at 23%. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. No matter what strategy I try the cure builds faster than my zombies.

Listen guys, I had the same issue as you with symptoms being mutated all the time and here is the trick:
It's luck, it's pure luck. All you need is to have the Creationist gene and follow these steps and eventually it will work. Just keep trying. Thanks again Chillbilly
Thanks for the reassurance. I will keep trying until I beat it. I'm using ChillBilly's vids to help me out with my viruses when I have a new one or need help.
All of these tutorials have helped a ton! I always end up beating it after following all the steps. The only difference is, my cure jumps after the first symptom, lol. When you're on 12% cure, I'm at around 56%, I end up spending extra points on all the Genetic Shuffles. I finished though in 1728 days at a 79% cure level.
OH MY GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN. I've spent hours trying to beat this level, but with your walkthrough I only beat it in under 1408 days, and listening you talk about the strategy videos, I couldn't have agreed more.
I have come to the conclusion that after playing this for 8 hours today, and spending hours looking up every. single. walkthrough. on the INTERNET. Not even coming close. I've practiced yours about a dozen different times, normally your walkthrough's help me pass any level, Chillbilly. But sweet jesus almighty, I don't think some higher power WANTS me to win.
THANK YOU!!!!! after seeing crap "turorials" that turn out to be semi guides, this finally helped me beat it! I literally followed step by step, had no problem with it, except one, why did cure percent go up so fast so high so early, i had to dump some points into slowing it, luckily i chose more points from popping bubbles so i had the points, thanks again i can FINALLY move on!

If you put in the extra effort to pop bubbles, Metabolic Jump can really make the difference between getting that vital symptom or losing. That's the only thing I changed on my first attempt with this guide and it worked great! 1130 days :)

Completed in 854 days with this tutorial. Lost 2x on my own and once with a different guide before I looked your guide up. I did use a slightly different build path toward the end because my disease was being cured because of a mutation I didn't notice. Overall though your build path was what helped me succeed. I just tried the zombie virus a few times with a friend without any progress. This video helped tremendously, thank you! 1330 was my first game, and I even had to devolve once.
Love your tutorials. First time it did work for me. My score 1419 days and 18040. I followed it how you have but once you develop symptoms everything goes crazy. And you will have some people that haven't turned to zombies so pay attention how you spend points. The cure will develop fast so use make the zombies aggressive so they can destroy the z com camps. Also to save you use regen shuffling 1 and 2. Also redevelop some symptoms to infect the ones that haven't turned to zombies. That's all you gotta do. Thanks I also used the creationist gene if you don't have it devolve any symptoms so it goes unnoticed.

Bit late, but really appreciate this. I had the first part pegged, I knew I had to spread it as much as possible without getting detected. Problem is I didn't restrict things with creationist and once research started I tried to rapid spread. I should have been more patient. Thanks for the vid!

Nevermind it finally sorted itself out I have been trying to beat this level for the past few weeks I think around six of them Hopefully the next virus that I just unlocked Won't be as hard And thanks for the help .
The thing that annoys me with this level, is that I get random mutations so damn early. Refunding them costs too much and then I don't have enough points to continue the game and lose anyway. Did you have some sort of modifier that denies any mutations?

Finally finished it! Got mine down in 499 days. I made sure to have the gene to increase mutation chance. I first acquired Segmented Genome and then used all the Zoonotic Shift nodes for my transmission. Didn't touch the blood or saliva transmissions. I upgraded to Crytopathic Reanimation asap and immediately went for Horde Pheromones and Liquefactive Resistance. By now the transmission was so fast any time I moved a horde it simply swamped anything in it's path. Any remaining points went into increasing combat effectiveness.

Just finished it in 1176 days with the cure at 86%. Made a few mistakes but got lucky in the end. Thank you for this. I was about to give up on this level... it was so frustrating...
I followed this guide to the T, as soon as I use the points on symptoms even though 100% infection rates, they literally develop the cure almost instantly? what the hell?

This is so hard, in the middle of the game when not even the whole world is infected it just starts mutating, I had abilities on at first but then I took them off thinking it would make a difference but definitely not. Eventually, I go broke, my disease gets discovered, and they rush the cure and I d i e
been trying to beet this for about half a year and eventually had given up, but after watching this video I got it in my first try.
For anybody that doesn't know you can just go on bacteria casual and play that over and over again until you get all the genetic things.
Always evolves by itself and is noticed and cured.. even with creationist
well i cant get through. it evolves insomnia and when i devolve insomnia it comes back right after the devolve and the cure is faster than barry allen

It would probably be a lot of work, but you should do like a brutal playlist. It would definitely help me out and I'm sure I'm not the only one.

turned out NZ was the first to set up the Z-COM and I basically sent 1.4 billion zombies rampaging into New Zealand :D
***DOES NOT WORK*** I used all the same Genetics Exact Same Strategy, When I started building my Symptoms; My Cure % Went sky high and they Cured me before I could even kill one state. This needs to be updated by someone who can beat it now. It's definitely Patched or has been updated.
You need to reach zombie ability and remember *"You cant cure Zombies"*
I have tried 23 times and it has been probably about more than a half a year and I still cant beat it
Little did we know the whole walking dead was about a little 6 year old playing plague inc.....
How to Unlock ALL GENES easily and early.
1. Start A New Game on any difficulty. Bacteria is the easiest to win.
2. Get to a point where you are about to win. The closer you are to the end, the quicker this will go.
3. Save your game. I somehow managed to save my game with 0% of the population left alive, which GREATLY sped up the process.
4. Win! Unlock a new Gene!
5. Upon reaching the main menu, press "Load Game"
6. Load the game where you are about to win.
7. Win! Unlock another new Gene!
8. Repeat steps 5 through 7 until you run out of Genes to unlock.
Thank you even 10 years later this works great, although you need creationism and genetic hardening two once you start making zombies, or at least for me

Soooo.... Been trying to use this guide for like 12+ runs now, and I can't get it right. I can never infect the whole world before I develop symptoms and they start curing me, zcom always starts in a country with like sub 5k infected/zombies and just wrecks me from there.
Despite getting/having over 50 more pts than you on some runs (extra pts from popping red bubbles) I still can't fight zcom.

I beat Necroa Virus on normal took me 765 days! Your method is awesome but didnt work too well for me and i tried a few times but it did help me figure it out, I used the animals to infect. Only took 2 days of trying to get it lol

I've been trying to beat this level for the last 2 days and it seems not possible without the good random genes. I keep getting the crap random genes or can't use the good ones that I do get.

I've been doing what you said in this guide. i've tried this 10+ times and greenland is always the only one left not infected. everyone else in the world is 100% except greenland. what should i do different
How do you get the symptoms to devolve with out wasting your points I keep trying your way and keep losing is there something going on?
I tried your gameplay style but I don't have the creationist gene to keep it back from evolving.
Thank you helped me win in 1184 day's , no mutations. The only issue I had was I infected whole world so fast only had 52 DNA but still won soooo...... WIN!!!! lol
I have tried Necroa Virus 9 or 10, or so, times now and I do believe they've patched it since this video. I have not beaten this level once. Every time I've played they finish the cure after I start turning people into zombies, sometimes I do beat ZCom, however most of the time I haven't. I have tried your playthru of transmissions, abilities, and symptoms, while trying it different a few times, and nothing works. I have no idea if it's all just bad luck with the game, or if they did indeed patch it to make it more difficult. It's just so damn frustrating.

dude everytime i activate the zombie turning symptom and unpause the cure just goes flying to like 70% wtfff and goes really fast and i cant do anything about it.
Been at this one a few days now. Maybe 5 or 6 attempts. Definitely gonna try your strat.

Did everything, you did, but unfortunately Zcon formed in Canada and held out until I ran out of zombies I even sent millions of Zombies to Canada from all over the place but Zcon held out until I ran out of Zombies
interesting strat. way easier than how I beat it. I had massive hordes going around killing bases and got lucky.

what do I do if it mutates it keeps mutating to early without the gene active I can't devolve cost points.
I managed it in 992 days. Though honestly I got lucky with DNA points and was able to evolve Acute Encephalitis about 50 days before you were.
i was looking at the achievements
and saw darkwater im confused also leaving ur plagues without killing makes people hunt for patient 0
all goes well untill about 60% through global infection, then the symtoms appear literally every few in game days so i have to either burn all my points or the cure gets found before it finishes infecting, and since i can only remove them a few times before im out i have to restart basically, its done this the past 7 times. i followed what you did and even used less chance of mutating gene it still does it at around 50-60%
While your cure stays at 13, mine is at 50. And then z com instantly kills all my zombies. Is it different for consoles?
Okay folks. So Necroa is one of those that changes. The reason it doesn't work is because you are either going too fast with your points, or you are just getting bad luck. I have reworked this one a few times using the same tutorial. 4/5 times it has worked the 1 time it didn't work I accidentally let a symptom go without seeing it. I am not going to be doing an update video for this one.
Tried this on mega brutal yet? I managed it on the phone but since the AI update i get noobed by the zcom
Man I do it for the tutorials not the challenge haha.. The way I figure it, no one needs a mega brutal tutorial.
Youll be surprised, most go for the mega brutal so its completed and you get the full badge next to the plague plus the achievement on steam :)
+ChillBilly I know this is like forever plus a day old, but I just finally got the game now. I don't understand the reasoning behind spending points slowly. Isn't that counter-intuitive?
I got to the point where you wait for the whole world to be infected and had worked up to that point but i then had to devolve so many times until it wouldn't let me which got me noticed straight away.
Also finished in 1168 days, does fast forwarding make the cure go up faster by any chance?
Hey man, your tutorial is better than anything else I've tried so far but I have three problems. 1) Mutations (stupid bloody things)
2) Discovery at very early points regardless of symptoms which I really don't get
3) Australia, the country I live in keeps shutting its borders.
Any tips for getting past these factors? I've tried a few times now and thought that you might have encountered a similar issue at some point. I have all the mutations unlocked apart from the zombie related ones

Took me 2 attempts 1 with your video and one without ...took me 1441 days ..one problem I noticed that you did not have was that mine kept mutating so I kept having to spend points to decrease symptoms even though we had the exact same genes ..so yeah that was a set back but beat it
That's the thing about this level. If you go too fast into the transmissions you have a problem with mutations. None of the other levels do that so viciously. I have had about a 90% success rate with this one. I play it over and over just to make sure the tutorial remains correct. I'm sorry you didn't have first time success with it.

Why do the symptoms not evolve itself in your walktrough?? They pop up every 20 seconds when I play it and I cant afford it do devolve and they make a cure very fast :(

I just did in 934 days using your method. Took me 2 weeks to do. Most if the tutorials sucked. I saw what I was doing wrong as well I was developing symptoms way early.

8/1/2024 this doesnt work. keep getting random evolved symptoms even with creationist. when i got all the stage one setup done. i dont have enough points for stage 2. only for my infection to be detected and cured very fast.
also not devolving the symptoms gets me detected as well even if i manage to get zombies going zcom takes over places with small zombie population and secure the area.
edit i manage to win and not get a mutation this time. very interesting

Hey Chill is it worth devolving your transmission traits for extra points after you infect everyone?
Sure. Transmissions after everyone is infected are pretty useless at that point other than for your score. Personally score doesn't matter to me.
