    0:23 That dongle alone is enough for me to get this TWS. I never like using Bluetooth, especially when it comes to latency, so having a dedicated receiver definitely helps a lot to greatly reduce latency.

      @@arinkarwan5888 I main the new Sony inzone bubs/ Sony wf-g700 but they have 5 bad things about it
      1. It uses bluetooth le audio so what that means is that for mobile only android 13 or above are able to use them on Bluetooth mode so no iPhone can use them on Bluetooth mode
      2. No wireless charging
      3. Case too big for pocket
      4. No software on phone only on pc
      5. The play and pause doesn’t work for pc
      Other than those it’s perfect and thing that stand out it’s battery life as it’s 12hours play time and 24hours on Bluetooth without charging which is insane as the JBL is only 2 hours play time and 4 hours Bluetooth

    I saw another review recording the microphone but it sounded significantly better than what he showed. I'm wondering if he was recording from his phone and not from a computer. I'm guessing the extra bandwidth using the 2.4 GHz dongle would allowed for less compression and better quality.

    Appreciate the review, but some type of latency coverage over 2.4 and/or BT would have been nice, since its whole identity is around gaming. I understand 2.4ghz connections are generally no/low latency, but still possible for it to not be the case here.

    Been searching for the best gaming earbuds for my steam deck. But non of the youtubers really illustrate and test the latency. Let me teach you how you can show it to us. Set the earbuds to maximum volume and put your mic beside or near to it. Play some fps game. Maybe pubg mobile or cod on your pc. And start firing the gun. Then we'll be the judge if it is really a low latency gaming earbuds.

But you mention that you can't. Can you clarify this matter?

    • @-XTC-
      @-XTC- 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Dual source only works for phone calls (maybe also from WA/DC etc. not tested yet), so you can't hear the PC game sounds + spotify from your phone for example. On the phone bluetooth audio settings only "calls" can be selected not "audio".

    I bought these recently and I'm very satisfied. For a 100 bucks they do the job with real low latency, solid sound and nice fit. Not perfect though, strange feeling with ambient mode, not great like with more expensive buds, noise canceling is solid, and connectivity also not great.. But for the price very good investment. Hope they'll last more they 2 years.

  • @Chen-ln9iv
    @Chen-ln9iv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    Regarding the 2.4Ghz dongle latency; while it is quite good for a wireless solution, I still notice a bit of latency compared to wired earbuds. I play osu! (a rhythm game) which requires very low latency audio to play well. While testing these JBLs, I found that there is a noticeable amount of latency compared to my wired earbuds from before. It's slight, but noticeable if you really compare them to something else that's wired.
    I've tried disabling sound enhancements and tuning the driver settings inside/outside of JBL's own software but nothing has really reduced the latency on these buds. I think the latency is low enough for casual games, but anything that seriously requires low latency audio will not be good.

Here's a few I'm considering but I'm open. Soundcore by Anker Life P3, JBL Live Free 2 and the Liberty 3 Pro... MAYBE there's a budget one that meets my needs... the Life P3 is cheaper(under 80) than the others but I'll spend a little more for a leap. Don't want to spend more if my needs can be met for less. Does the JBL Headphones app let you program the earbud's touch controls for volume? For example, tap left earbud to lower volume, tap right earbud to raise volume. The PS5 is terrible for volume control. You have to click through so many menus to get to the volume. It'd be nice if you could quickly tap the left earbud and it sends a command to the PS5 to lower volume or something similar. On full size headphones (steelseries arctic 7P) it's not an issue because they tend to have a native volume control built directly into the ear cup, in the form of a volume dial. That natively attenuates the drivers. I know that the JBL Quantum TWS has no such attenuator, but maybe it can send a signal to the source to lower volume, similar to how double tapping the AirPods would have the AirPods send a signal to the iPhone to change tracks.

    • @CEONTHEMAKING
      @CEONTHEMAKING  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes and no..for music it does. But if you're connected to a console you still have to control volume within the console.

    • @jmunier1836
      @jmunier1836 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CEONTHEMAKING Ah that's unfortunate. It's likely because the PS5 operating system has no built-in function like mobile devices and it doesn't know what to do with a volume change signal from headphones like that. Thanks for testing that out for me!
