Not sure how many people have swung a sledgehammer for more than a few minutes, you get real tired, real fast....

I don't Know how all the rest of you men are out there but I'm 63 and have been swinging sledges, picks, shovels, axes, for most of my life and I love it!! Nothing makes me feel more like a man than using manly tools. I really enjoy the short workout that I get going under a 2 car driveway. I can get under a 2 car driveway consistently by myself in about 30 minutes max. The tool advances with relative ease because you are only pounding the point through the ground because the point is larger than the shaft and the shaft trails in behind the point without touching the soil. The friction doesnt increase the further you go. Ultimately this tool is for a man's work in a man's world. It will get the job done every time, nomatter what's in the way. Very compact and extremely effective. Relatively quick without much fuss, unless you consider a 16 lb sledge a bother, then try a 12 lb sledge. I have always used the 16 pounder myself. Swinging intermittently for 30 minutes is much more easier than picking and shoveling or chopping all day which I presume that most men have done. So a leisurely 30 minutes, taking breaks doesn't seem so bad. Not to be afraid!!

Busting a rock underground with dirt settled around it 100 % is not as easy as doing it in free air.

Is all I can say is that was actual footage in real time, pulling in poly pipe as the shafts were being extracted under a sidewalk. Now certainly if you are pulling in a further distance or through rough difficult terrain then it can be a little more difficult but there are ways to attach to the shaft and leverage it out (see website) at bulletmole.com , in the end the result is always going to be the same, that is your job will get done and it will happen comparatively quickly, every time, no matter what the soil condition.
