Here in Central Texas, we had a similar situation on May 9th. We are still cleaning up. Prayers for the people affected.

Best wishes to her and family. My jobs were never critical and I always kept a lot of vaca on the books for crazy emergencies. Just keep telling her - it’s only stuff - it can all be replaced.

Well you gotta be able to afford to pay for damages. I went back to work the next day after a tornado hit here

I live in SW Fort Worth on Sunday morning, the 20 year old tree split a major branch. It went down and we were able to pull it out. My yard has huge tree branches in it. Very lucky I had no home damage.

The legacy of the great plains, is best left underground. The first house in the "Little House on the Prairie" was an underground establishment. If I remember correctly (it's been decades) everything after leaving the basement dwelling was a story of counting chickens before they hatched.

Very classless to be leaning on their truck for your segment while they’re so demoralized;didn’t even express a thanks for recording the inside of the man house, just waltzing into the back like that. Rude

Many insurance companies will allow homeowners to build elsewhere.

@@UmmYeahOkif you rolled a dice and landed on the number 2, the next time you roll, hitting a 2 again is just as likely as the other numbers.

@@UmmYeahOkpretty likely. It happens more often than not. We had a tornado here in cypress and many insurance companies are letting go of clients because of the severe weather we got.

I’m sure their insurance will put them in suitable accommodations. As a matter of fact the house must be the same size or larger. It will be fully furnished right down to towels and dishes. They surely have been issued a check by now or an automatic transfer directly to their bank account for clothing, shoes and toiletries. Homeowners insurance seems pricy until you need it - then the cost seems very reasonable.

@@pamelarubelmann5692 Oh no - that is not true. My house burned down. They took care of me (and my 600 lbs of English Mastiffs) like I was a helpless kitten. 6 weeks at the Hilton. A year in a house they rented. Rebuilt my house. My insurance increased $450. I wasn’t even aggravated about it.

@@denisekoltys3019 Hi, I'm curious as to how long ago your fire happened, because these days every day we hear about different insurance companies pulling out of various states (Florida, California, etc.) and it could be that conditions are now that the outstanding service you experienced is a thing of the past? I hope for this family's sake that their insurance does take good care of them but weather damage to many properties might also play a part in the company's ability to service claims quickly, whereas your incident was a singular incident.
