    Damn, that Lego store is huge. I love how in the store, they have the massive Lego Gringotts layout with the huge Weasley Wizard Wheezes build. Another thing is I love how they added the ford Anglia with Harry and Ron on it. Lastly, I also love how the store has really huge incredible builds of buildings and other things around the store, especially on the ceiling.

      The Harry Potter builds were from Leicester Square store, not Sydney.

    • @HollyOnFilm
      @HollyOnFilm  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Gringotts builds are inside the London store, which is the second biggest but the difference as far as I'm aware is very minimal in terms of floor plan to Sydney's. They're both huge but Sydney felt a lot bigger since it didn't have as much stuff inside

    What really would make a LEGO store stand out is actually having older sets available on shelves or displays. I've visited some Bricklink stores and unofficial lego stores and they all offer that feature, even if the prices aren't always worthwhile, at least you can get something that isn't available anywhere else.
    The pick a brick wall is a ton of fun, but after you filled out your box (or 2 boxes if you need a lot) there isn't much more to do than pay and leave, which is sad really. It would be so much fun if there were activities or special stuff on offer that makes the trip to the store more worthwhile.

    Agree Holly. I'm very happy we have a new lego store in the Sydney CBD, but compared to others around the world it does leave me feeling a bit flat. Some great builds in there, but it also feels very open and sparce. As you say, hopefully they continue to develop it and it grows into the space that they have.

    I haven’t been to the Sydney Lego store yet, but will definitely try and get there during the holidays. I understand what you’re saying about other countries Lego stores. I was lucky enough to visit the New York store and was blown away by it. Who’s old enough to remember the Lego centre that used to be at Birkenhead point? Now that was a must see for any kid in Sydney. It’s a shame it’s still not around.

    Wait...many coalas and NOT A SINGLE KANGAROO? Seriously, LEGO? Do you even Australia? 😂
    Well, at least your certified stores have their own VIP system.
    We have the largest LEGO store in Europe in Lisbon (according to LEGO. I haven't checked), and we don't even get that. We get nothing other than "bragging rights" and the single WORST customer experience I've EVER had at ANY LEGO store, ever.
    So much so that I now refuse to go to the store ever again. I don't even care that it'd be cheaper to go there for the Pick a Brick wall or the Minifigure Factory. I will not give them my money again.

    You actually said something very interesting that stores are almost the same but bigger one's like the one's provide a unique experience to the customers which they enjoy. Maybe LEGO should start looking into this as I agree with you that when you come to a store you experience almost the same everytime which can become boring for the customer over time. From my point of view LEGO needs to look at on how they can improve the ominchannel expoerience of the customer itself.

    Hi Holly,
    I was wondering whether you'd be at the store lol, I was there at 8:30 on the official opening day and waiting about an hour to get in
    Once I got in I spent a couple of hours in there and in between intense PAB-ing I tried to see if you and other Australia-based AFOLs like Jay were there
    I also agree that aside from the decorations, everything else didn't feel super Australian. I spent enough to qualify for the LEGO store GWP but I feel like rather than reuse an existing promo, they could have gone for a new, more Australia themed set.
    Great video! I'll be back there this Thursday for even more PAB

    Your observations and thoughts may be well thought out, as I was in the LEGO store in Amsterdam NL. and that store was significantly more personalized and built up and built in; to match all the culture, art and significance of the Netherlands. So yeah, that's a shame that LEGO didn't have more cultural significant builds for the "land down under".
