I put 10th scale sand buggy. Tires on mine which are about a 1/2 to 3/4 inch. Taller that gives a tremendous boost and speed. You can actually do willies and backflips from a standing stop.

I got one as my first rc truck. Love it! I still drive it even tho I have a Traxxas Macc and 1/16erevo. I got the 1600 batteries for it. Longer run time and seems like a little more power.
I feel this is a starter rtr and I was there target , first hobby grade rc ,and I c a n say it's years ahead of anything I bought at wally world before, great starter car I enjoy this little thing so much lots of time already in the past month since I got mine.

Picked up one for my son this Christmas. He is only 5, so we will take it easy, but should be great to learn on. Plus I'll enjoy it. Appreciate local store has parts for the inevitable breaks lol

Little trick I learned as a kid, feed a piece of paper between the gears with the motor loose so it can pivot, apply pressure to the motor with one finger and tighten the motor screws down.
Ok Redcat this thing looks promising!! Really liking the way it drove for 1/16th scale. This seems like 1 of the better designed 1/16 monster trucks I’ve seen. Can it be upgraded? I can’t wait to see it hit the bmx and skate park!!! Keep it coming JayTee!!! Nice quick run!!!
Great video as always! The chassis and electronics look like a 16889 which you can get in brushless for $100. I do like the Redcat body and tires better than the 16889 though. The 16889 comes with 1000mah batteries (200mah more than the Redcat) I believe too.

Okay I guess what I mean more is when brought down to lowest speed setting is it nice and slow for kids lol small small kids 2 maybe 3 years old

This is great! And runs great. But could easily pick up an HBX, or an eachine, or wltoys, or Remo hobby brushed 1/16ner for 1/3 of the price. This still is a sweet little rig though! Jumps great!💪🏼💯💯👊🏼🤩

More like the brushed mini revo I think. They're both the same scale.
@@RobertNES816 I think the revo brushed is better than this in my opinion. Only reason I said teton is because it's the same size basically. Redcats scale size runs a bit small in comparison to others so the revo is bigger and longer and more expensive. Latrax Teton is the about the same size price and performance and More comparable to this component wise.

Hello. It’s been 2 years. How good is the truck overall? How’s the durability? Speed? Longevity? A older gentleman is looking to get into the hobby and just wants something to walk with. It’s pretty grassy in our area. I’ll be doing upgrades and repairs for him. Also, you mentioned tiny adventures rc. I just covered their most recent swap meet on my channel. Curious if you’ve been to one.

Do you think they’ll release a brushless version eventually? I’ve been thinking of getting one of these but debating if I should wait and see if they release a brushless version or just get this.
Probably not until a lot more people want it but Amazon sells a 390 sized brushless motor kit with esc and all you need to find is a receiver controller to add for it since the rc has a receiver esc combo

Would you say this truck or a arrma granite voltage for a 12 year old just wanting to get into Hobby grade RC trucks?
I'm not 100% sure what to tell you on that one. The reason being is because I'm not sure the voltage is going to be discontinued or not.
almost pulled the trigger on two. but read they have 5 wire servos. is that true? already would replace the 2 in 1. having to replace the servos is more. that's what i love about LaTrax and Nitrorcx minis. electrical components are separate.
That’s why I paused. Think it has a 2 in 1 and also there isn’t a lot of space to make upgrades. That and there isn’t a lot of parts for it as it’s new. And trust me if it’s Redcat it will break
Yes the receiver/esc is a 2 in 1. Yes the servo is a 5 wire. There is a 3 wire available thru haiboxing. The servo part # 16109.
The Losi mini T 2.0 has a 2 in1 brushless motor/esc, which is kinda cool.
2s lipo and you dont have to use their batteries, they sell lipo that size too. Time to get out the kaiju and this do a size comparison.

They do the best I can but you have to understand with the holidays and everything else going on shipping is delayed everywhere.
