Years ago, I had my Ramcharger flooded up to the bottom of the dashboard. Drained all the oils & fluids. Drove it to a detail shop, they did a G8 job on the interior. They USED BAKING SODA on all the cloth areas, spread liberaly let set about a week. This was to absorb the oders like 'musty' & such. NEVER had an oder problem
2 things. The car was probably sabotaged either by the owner to get it totaled or at the auction by somone intending to get it on a low bid. The second thing is that’s an SL awd model which probably came with a Bose audio system and they took the sub. I’d say that Nissan is probably not really a flood car just got totaled as such.
That Rogue certainly doesn't sound like my daughter's 2014. It is a lot noisier than hers. I'd certainly change the fluids, especially the CVT fluid and rear diff. Otherwise, looks like a good deal!
yes, i was thinking the same. i had a 2017 Nissan rogue sl awd and it didn't wine as his did. I think the transmission was going out and the owner took advantage of the hurricane to totaled it out. I think the owner of that rogue disconnected that plug to totaled it out. But that rogue don't sound right.
Nice one guys lets have a few more of the same. This year Copart have had some hail damaged cars at some sights in eastern England badly damaged ones as wellnot seen that before in the UK, but we do get a lot of flood vehicles.
Just little tips. Next time before you change corroded computer clean with electrical part cleaner ( I see on your hand ) and try again. 2017 I bought one 2017 Honda Civic flooded with 0 mile. Same situation some electrical connectors are corroded I clean with electrical part cleaner and working until today.
Since these are flood/salvage cars they obviously won't get the same price as a non-flood/salvage car. My only concern would be long term reliability especially considering its unknow what may be corroded in the electrical system.
Thanks Bro's for sharing the great auction purchase of two drowned cars, but in great condition. It will be minimal what you have to invest to bring them up to date for sale.👍
Great touch of luck on both cars 👌🏻and that module probably would have been ok if dried and clean within a day or 2 of getting wet instead of being left damp for a few weeks , but still good cars at very good prices 👍🏻.
Yes that 200mph tape is no joke 🤣 I use to tow these cars to IAA and Copart etc and we always had to use it if stuff was hanging or falling off and that stuff is crazy tough
I think the loose wire in the boot is for a sub woofer that sat in the spare wheel but has obviously been removed. I had two similar nissans over here in the UK with sub woods in the spare wheel
Channel should be called: Lucky Brothers. Sometimes it is just a little sabotage by the owner to get their money from the insurance, I never said that though...
That's exactly what I was thinking. Insurance job no insurance company would track down. All they care about is if you turn the key and it doesn't start and it was parked in a flood zone.
Nissan rouge was a Classic case of someone being in the flood zone and wanting to get out of their payment being over their head on it and unplugged something to get the pay off and get into either a nicer or cheaper car def ton of insurance fraud but you did nothing wrong you get a win they catch the felony lol but they will prob get away with it
Either way your gonna have to check all the electronics , wiring and relays connections for moisture and corrosion for reliability issues ,this car doesn't look like a wet car ,🤔
I used to work at an auction and we often found cars had been doctored to push the price down, even had the fuelling module taken of one car, but fuses and cables unplugged and batteries out of remotes etc
Probably 75% of flood damage to vehicles could be saved if the water damage was taken care of immediately instead of setting for months to years before making their way to auction. I believe the subwoofer box is missing on the Nissan they usually sit in the spare tire.
Had an Accord US wagon that had a 3-foot waterline inside it. Eventually got it going, but it had electrical problems forever, just one after another. Pity - when it was going, it was great.
I never thought I’d say that a Dodge Dart looks good, but it’s a sharp car. At 8:26 when Ivan puts the spare tire cover down did I see pieces of glass bounce around? It must have had a window replaced at some point. Good deals on the cars. I had rather see wrecked cars being rebuilt in your videos more than videos like this or rv’s being repaired. Keep up the good work guys.
How do you prevent corrosion to interior steel on lower body, doors and front fenders? Also what about ABS connections at the wheels? What was the flood water… rain or mixed with salt water? Hope you/title discloses flood exposure!
Doors already have built-in drains. As windows are not 100% watertight on all cars. Inside of fenders andor's already have paint. And this was freshwater and not a saltwater flood. And speaking of lower body people drive the rain all the time and it splashes up. And some states they put salt on the roads in the winter and that splices up also and gets in the cracks and crevices. It should be fine.
I think you are going to do very well with those cars, as just the Nissan alone will sell for somewhere between $14 to $20k depending where you live. Really well done guys. 👌👍😀
I have a great idea for the next project, I have a 1997 Chevy Venture with almost 250,000 mile and still going strong. I needs some work, like tap in engine and very little rust. I know not right? LOL. Great score.
I had the same thing happen a few times on flood cars from Houston Texas that were Nissans. I don't know if insurance adjusters do it to stop people from starting it or just to be able to total the car?? Could be fraud.
I just want to know about the documents of two cars 'flooded car certificate', you can register to have the license of the car and drive it normal without problem with the police or the authorities, or can export it to another country, I mean that the documents are the same as normal cars? thank's
Great job you took a big chance of buying two cars and flooded and the Nissan is about the right price exit job I'm a real again I'm really surprised about you guys doing that that's really taking a big gamble
Just out of the curiosity how much will you sell on your cars let's see that you build online it's a rough guess I'm not sure if I can afford it but it would be nice if I had a rough idea how much you want the department one of your vehicles
-I bought a flood car from a dealer that never told us it was a flood vehicle. these cars are suppose to be destroyed. Any one that sells one of these with out warning the buyer is a scumbag.
"anyone" and "without" also said " anyone who sales one of these without warning the buyer is a scumbag" i disagree. "the buyer's a scumbag"? No! NO! The seller takes the title of scumbag
@@jontecooper6450 Are you that stupid. Really!. I hope someday your not fooled into buying one of these vehicles. the problems never show up until about 6months to a year later.
What about the rest of the wiring harness. Do you think the water seeped into it? If one end had corrosion I would think water got into the rest of that wiring harness. I'm not a mechanic, just asking if it would damage the harness down the road.
In my opinion, a lot of people used the flood as a way to upgrade there car , with all the claims that were coming in , if it was in the “flood zone” then it was automatically eligible to be considered flooded. Probably unplug that plug and call in and said hey car got flooded and won’t start, shop or whoever coming to check these cars out to see if there damaged from water are probably overwhelmed and don’t spend much time checking them out and just write them off as “ flooded”
Here in Michigan flood cars have to be inspected by a mechanic and the Monroe county police department two inspections were a total of 220 dollars then the insurance is very expensive do you know why ?
The biggest hassle with flood cars is if you ever need to register the car in another state. It’s a total nightmare. Bought a NC flood car, it’s been brilliant as a car but has lived in IL, MI ,GA since as my son went to college and started career. The car is still in my name registered in NC. The insurance companies are giving conniptions too. Switched three times coz they won’t renew coverage on out of state garaging, that requires re registering the car where it lives. Branded titles are a total pain.
I don't know about flooded cars it's just like opening a can of worms. Many things need to be checked out, doors, rocket panels, sensors. But if you feel adventurous may loose few thousands. Also flooded car don't speak highly about the type of business you really want to run. It's your game dudes. Honestly you guys didn't sound excited. Good video stay safe and healthy. Thanks 😊
We bought a Old Bravada years ago from a dealer in Iowa , no disclose about flood damaga....that suv had 77k and was super clean. It was a huge money pit, damn near drove us into poverty.....free advice...AVOID FLOOD CARS AND TRUCKS LIKE THE BLACK DEATH
milky comes with water in the oil after you run it and it mixes. when I was a kid a company I worked for had 200 brand new monte carlos flooded in mississippi . Chevrolet had to send 200 new cars. they were underwater for weeks

Would like to see more flood car videos. You guys lucked out on these two. Good job!
Always check the carpet padding for moisture and behind the weather straps for a waterline, also the a/C condenser will hold debri from the flooding
Great buys and a great video lads, more flood damaged car videos would be great please 👍🏻

That wire in the trunk is for the missing Bose subwoofer. It mounts inside the spare tire. I had that identical car for five years.
Yep missing the sub woofer.
I like your video, it's open & simply, looking forward for more.
That Rogue certainly doesn't sound like my daughter's 2014. It is a lot noisier than hers. I'd certainly change the fluids, especially the CVT fluid and rear diff. Otherwise, looks like a good deal!
I thought the same thing
Should check the oil fill cap, inside. If that's covered in condensation, good chance your oil has water in it too.
Nissan seems to have a cvt transmission wine. Same noise before my transmission went out.
yes, i was thinking the same. i had a 2017 Nissan rogue sl awd and it didn't wine as his did. I think the transmission was going out and the owner took advantage of the hurricane to totaled it out. really nice that you 2 give prices, helps us out thanks.
Maybe the Nissan was unplugged due to the alarm constantly going off?
Or, to make safe airbags etc?
Two good deals 👌

Great buy on both of those. Dodge is worth 7-9k (minus deduct for flood). The Nissan is way discounted at 5k. Without flood it's a 15-19k car
Has to be sold with a salvage title disclosing being in a flood. This significantly affects the resale value. Correct me if I am wrong.
My thought too, good way to ditch a car payment if you cant afford anymore .
That's exactly what I was thinking.
Insurance job no insurance company would track down.
All they care about is if you turn the key and it doesn't start and it was parked in a flood zone.
FYI check the air intake/airbox
Nissan rouge was a Classic case of someone being in the flood zone and wanting to get out of their payment being over their head on it and unplugged something to get the pay off and get into either a nicer or cheaper car def ton of insurance fraud but you did nothing wrong you get a win they catch the felony lol but they will prob get away with it
exactly my thought
Win for the little guy,two ways the insurance company steals from the consumer no love loss to me.glad they got the deal
Wow! Heck of a deal! Good score! Should make a nice profit with very little invested.
Good deals guys. Make the money.
When water damage! Always check trans fluid and pulllllllll carpet out
Remove door panels, kick panel and trunk carpet and padding
The average person can't check the fluids in a lot of newer vehicles.
Air filter should be checked also. Water can collapse the filter material.
Good to see more flood cars
Michaels a funny guy "sabotage"!
I wonder if someone unplugged that to get it wrote off by the insurance company.
Guess that is one way to get a new car lol
Either way your gonna have to check all the electronics , wiring and relays connections for moisture and corrosion for reliability issues ,this car doesn't look like a wet car ,🤔
Thats exactly what happened
I was just checking the comments to see if anyone else thought that! They were probably upside down and behind in payments.

The wire for the back of the rogue is for a tire subwoofer.

I really enjoy these as much as the truck rebuilds
Would seriously consider checking transmission and differential fluid before driving those.

Good job Guys.
I've owned 2 flood cars and both were great! One was cpo and warranty was still honored by Audi.
Very informative.👍
‘aftermarket bullbar’, looks like that rogue is straight from nyc
Hell yeah, more flood damaged vehicles in the mix. More possibilities to make a buck if you ask me.

You where lucky on those, but do not trust the indicated water line on the next one, some are very bad.
you guys have some real skills i did watch auto auctions rebuils for the past few years and he only loose money on all his cars from copart and iaa
were you be able to reprogram srs module, if yes where you they it?
Really enjoy seeing these types of videos I'm very glad you did very good on them

and so much in love with the dart
I wouldn't put that carpet or seats back in the Dart you never know...

Word of advice check all fluids mainly transmission because if you run them with water in them you will be replacing a transmission
Dude, remove adhesive tape by pulling at a 45 degree angle and you will not leave residue or tear the tape.......a continuous tensioned pull.

I’m thinking that Rogue was a NYC insurance scam. Bull bumpers are everywhere up there.
Did you get the module programmed and did the airbag light go off?
tnx for the video
Definitely more flood cars. Maybe a cheaper damaged and see if it can be resurrected.
Screaming deal! Very nice😎 #blessed
