  • Join us on this 4-day adventure as we embark on something not many anglers have done. We're traveling 120+ miles on our kayaks from Bonneville Dam in the Columbia River Gorge, to Astoria, Oregon in the Columbia River Estuary. This was one of the hardest things Sean and I have ever done. It was challenging from the conditions, the fishing, and so much more. I'm so excited for you ADX to see this video. Thanks for watching, everyone!

This was one of the coolest videos I’ve ever watched. I’m 20 and I grew up in Longview Kelso and I’ve always had a passion for the history of the northwest and I love fishing and the outdoors. Seeing you float by so many nostalgic spots and talk about the history of the river is so cool and I loved this video. There’s a lot of fishing channels on TH-cam but the addicted community is something else. I work at the Toyota dealership in Kelso and I’ve met Jordan a few times and he’s the coolest person ever. I met the crew at Bobs a few days ago at the pop up and you guys are so genuine and there’s no many channels or groups that show off fishing and the northwest like you guys do. Great video keep them going ❤

Every two years, high school students in Stevenson, WA near the Bonneville dam have the opportunity to take a class on the Lewis and Clark Expedition. At the end of the year, the entire class goes on a 5 day kayak trip down the Columbia from Beacon Rock to Astoria. I was lucky enough to participate in that back in 2015. This reminded me of that. Thanks for sharing.

You’ve connected to so many people on your journey along with history of John’s boat and of coarse the meals you’ve prepared are epic as well. I’m thrilled that you really lucked out with your journey. The biggest thing you’ve done is without incident. I’m impressed. And a huge fan.

Jordan, Sean, and Little!!!! Such a great team!
So wonderful to watch you all on this channel. Jordan, your adventures are so epic and inspiring to watch!
I first caught your channel a few years ago when I was looking up how to tie basic knots to go fishing again for the first time in what had ended up being over 12 years.
The tutorials are so helpful and clear and fun to watch. It makes me excited to try different methods and improvise when I go out to the lakes. You've inspired me to want to try river fishing and not just that, but for salmon for the first time ever!
Your channel also led me to the amazing Leif @NW Fishing Secrets and watching him made me start to go camping again when I hadn't been since I was a young kid.
Please don't stop inspiring, teaching, and sharing.
And please always be sure to give Sean a bonus for these adventures 😂

Great trip, cool idea! All that you went through helps me to plan my own adventures.....! So if I were on your trip I would add 2 more days and planned out battery swap / food resupply / mosquitoe repellent......the time pressure squeezed out some of your pleasure. Of course you can't control the wind and tides.....
So I loved your whole idea!! You have given me ideas about how to raise the pleasure level! Hours of sitting and paddling....your body must have been screaming at you! Just a cool Idea. I think the real freedom so you could truly enjoy the fishing would be more time and a support boat. That way your small kayak storage would not limit the enjoyment.....
Thanks for the motivation! I am ready to try it a little differently...
    just jim

Huge river and a very long ways. I did 72 miles of the Columbia on a jetski and that was very difficult. Especially with the large waves the river produces. But dang, I wish I was into fishing back then. The spots we went past..

I’m always looking for people who might be interested in helping me organize a human powered race after rowing my home built pram down the river in about 72 hours ramp to ramp. My tactics had to change near willow grove, when it was on flood, I stopped napped, and cooked and started traveling when conditions became favorable. I normally go every August now if you ever want to link up. John is a good guy too small world!

I know from experience that not having a full charged battery on your kayak is truly hard because the amount of weight you’re pulling with the paddle is harder than people think especially with all the wind you have experience so far. But safety is always the biggest concern of these types of trips.

You absolutely have a great idea now I want to do it from my side .!! 😂 I live in Oregon and love that river as well .!! I fished that river with my grandfather for salmon . Sturgeon steelhead bass.. then we would go to Hebo or PC and fish or we head out to Garibaldi and go crabbing and salmon fishing there at the ghost hole or we would go out to Bowie 10 . And run lines . Man I love this idea .!! I just started using my water skeeter .. and its amazing i haven’t added a motor or anything yet but im just getting started so i just need to keep practicing with it today was fun i caught a monster bass today and for our parts this was a big bass it was almost or 10 pounds . And thats big for these parts i believe.!! But man this trip looks amazing.!! And I definitely wanna do this now .!! Thank you 🙏 .!!

By far one of the coolest TH-cam videos I’ve ever seen and something I’ve always wanted to do! I used to work at one of the lower Columbia hatcheries raising springers and winter steelhead. I know the country and how awesome the fishing can be. The size and power of Columbia River unreal.

I've long talked about canoeing from Moscow via the Palouse River (probably near Potlatch) to the mouth of the Columbia. I've never found anyone crazy enough to do it with me though, and now I'm probably getting too old. 😂
