Sam did such a good job putting himself in the right position for the entire race. For those of you who didn't see, he went out mid pack, moved into the back of that top 6 break away, and then stayed right there until the final few laps when he faded. He's got the grit and the mind for elite racing, just needs some time for his legs to recover from a long XC season. His place didn't reflect what a good race he ran.
Great video, even greater to see all the AF PRs, All-Times, and records! (Would be nice to see the clock in the background as they cross the line like you did in some of them. Great summary in the the comments, though.) USAFA '85
