Cut: 4 square of main fabric in different colors 4-1/4 * 4-1/4 inches
2 squares of green fabric 2-1/2 * 2-1/2 inches
2 squares of background fabric 2-1/2 * 2-1/2 inches
4 squares of background fabric 2-1/4 * 2-1/4 inches
The middle is 1 square 2-1/4 * 2-1/4 inches
8 squares of background fabric 1-1/2 * 1-1/2 inches

I would like the pattern also, but the video goes so fast that I can't read or follow it with the cutting or sewing as I have been diagnosed with a rare and incurable illness and my eyes and mind can't comprehend that and I am 82 y.o. Great video and demo. Unfortunately, after cutting all my fabric for 20 of these blocks and beginning to sew them together, I've discovered your dimensions as listed are completely incorrect. After struggling with trying to make it work, I finally drew the 8" block in my EQ8 software, which is when I realized the problem was in the dimensions.

Very beautiful!I tried one block and it measures 9, 25 inches unfinished. Do you trim the HSTs and the other parts bevore you put them all together to the block of 8 inches? If yes, to what sizes?
In the process of sewing, I trim the details of the patchwork block only if there is a need for it. The difference in the size of the finished block may also be due to the seam allowance.In this block, I have it larger than 1/4 inch. And the block turned out to be exactly 8 * 8 inches.
I love your videos and the demos are very clear. However, It would be helpful if you could provide the instructions in a printable format.
Thanks for the advice, but it seems to me that I'm doing quite a lot of work on creating videos and it's unlikely that I will deal with pdf files.

@@themelodyofsewing6369yes, I saw the dimensions, including your correction, which is much appreciated. However, it does not change the fact that the step by step process of using those pieces to construct this beautiful block in the correct order requires either a written transcript of the steps, or pausing and rewinding after stitching each step. I do hope you might reconsider, because I think more people would attempt it. I wouldn’t mind paying for the written instructions. In fact, I would be happy to do that. Checklists are extremely helpful in cases like this.

Ну лоскутное шитье - это всегда процесс трудоемкий. А это не самый сложный узор: только квадраты и прямоугольники.

The size of this part is 2-1/4 inches. Perhaps you have a different seam allowance. If I understood your question correctly...

What is the finished size of the block?
Hello! The finished block measured 8 inches in my case. But I sewed with a seam allowance larger than 1/4″. With a 1/4″ seam allowance, the finished block will measure 9″.
I’m new to quilting how can I make this a 12 1/2 inch block. It’s beautiful. Thank you.
Only if you add background stripes around the perimeter that are about 2-1/4 inches wide. This is if you sew with a 1/4 inch seam allowance.
If I were you, I would sew one test block with your seam allowances, measure it, and then sew on the missing strips of background fabric
