    Another great insight Dave (and Dave). Thank you. I think you’re expertises could helped a few teams in the French round of MotoGP. I haven’t watched a race like it (or raced in those changing conditions for a very long time! Phillip Island (being my home race track), you can get 4 seasons in one day, even inclusive of the wind changing direction 180 degrees. At least it was Miller time...! All the Australian World Champions have one thing in common, they first learnt to race dirt bikes and then all started out on 250 cc production two-strokes before going Supersports, Superbikes or MoroGP bikes. A couple have done all three. Not bad for a country with about 8% of the population of USA. 👍😎🇦🇺

      It is also interesting to see the different riding styles.
      Home track of being in Aus or Vic?

      @@wobblysauce both. Although Miller is an Aussie from Queensland. Possibly 3,500 kilometres north of PI.

    Hi, any Yamaha R7 review soon? Thanks.

      @catalystreactionsbw  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dave Williams, editor, replying here. I have seen 2 R7's since 1999. 1 in the Museum at Barber Motorsports Park and the other at a Laguna Seca track day back in 2007. If somebody brings one to a tuning event we're filming, I'll edit and post it immediately.

      Noted on the press launch of the new 2020 R7 that seems like it might be available. So..... when we actually see one we will get all h data we can. If anyone wants to volunteer one, we will coordinate with them gladly. www.motorcycle.com/manufacturer/yamaha/the-wraps-are-off-yamaha-unveils-the-new-2022-yzf-r7.html

      @@catalystreactionsbwsorry for this lack of communication of mine, i mean the all new 2022 R7 version. There's some testing going on out there and the only review that matters to me is yours. Thanks.

      Williams replying again. Too funny. I wish it was a new 750. Regardless, here is the most salient info I've found so far from Bennetts in the UK, "The frame is basically the same tubular steel design that’s used on the MT-07, and the swingarm is also carried over, but the R7 gets new 41mm upside-down forks, adjustable for preload, rebound and compression (one in each fork leg), along with a combination of a cast upper and forged alloy lower triple clamp. A lower front end means the head angle is steeper than the MT-07 - reduced from 24.5 degrees to 23.7 degrees - while the wheelbase is also fractionally shorter at 1395mm instead of 1400mm). The rear shock and linkage are also reworked for the sports bike..." This will go legit head to head with the Aprilia RS 660, which only has a combined Reb & Comp damping adjuster in the forks and shock. But the RS 660 has a dedicated frame/chassis. Is the R7 frame up to the task, or modified for the task? Maybe, since the head angle has changed and it has radial mounted brakes. The RS 660 was immediately sold out here in the US. The R7 is $2k cheaper, and... it's Japanese build quality (all hail the Rising Sun). I think I'll go put down a deposit right now.
