I've ridden the RC8R. The engine and chassis is brilliant. Very smooth yet precise and bucket loads of power at all revs. My only complaint is the riding position. You sit very much on top of the bike making you feel a bit disconnected. This could maybe be resolved with adjustable footpegs.
I never liked these until I saw one up close-they're nice bikes. Very well put together, not near a pain in the ass to work on as most Japanese bikes, but better quality than most European bikes. Very comfortable to sit on as well...Haven't had the luck to ride one:(
10 years ago when i was 17 lived in tlv isr i said that one day they will bring one out, same if not better than Italians and Japanese, couple of years ago they ran gp after that it was just matter of time to see this beast, 1195cc!!!< 75 degree V twin, 170bhp this 120trq! as much as i want this i tell my self this is too nice for daily use, crashing it is not an option...hmmmm...zx10r...09 R1, BMW? competition is too sexy out there...21st century, good times for riders =)
@bfmv580 I agree with you on both parts. When I think KTM I think Supermoto and Motorcross dirtbikes. I'm glad they've joined the Superbike ranks though with a literbike. It makes the market more competitive. I really wanna see one on the World Superbike, or AMA series to see if it can hang. I really like the Redbull version though. And yes this was one of their best reviews, I just wish they would be longer.
Very good review, one of the best you guys have done I think. but I really don't like the bike, just doesn't do anything for me. When I think of a super sports bike, KTM isn't the name that pops into my head.
Don't advertising companies realize that if they chopped their shit down to 10 seconds i would watch rather than get pissed off and leave!? All it is doing is hurting MCN, the ad companies still make their money but i don't watch their video.
Although it's a really nice and informative review, you really need to get some proper sound equipment. That's been the case since i started watching your vids a number of years ago. Stop slacking and get to it!
@kj7687 @kj7687 there is one by my house selling a BNW for 15k :D Marchzini rims and Ohlins front and rear, its SOOO light between your legs, has `frame sliders` on pointy ares of the bike like the tank and the tail, like knee pucks changeable, amazing bike i hope they'll still have it by the time im ready to buy one...
I'm a big fan of Michael Guy's reports he shows lots of enthusiasm

@TotalNekro They come standard on the RC8 and RC8R as well as adjustable subframe and handlebar height
Such a stunning bike. Love the orange frame.
Most underrated bike out there.

Glad to see that KTM fixed the quirky power delivery problems! This is a great bike and I'd love to own one!!! Too bad it's like 20 grand...
Such a cool kickass bike!
man i want one not sure about the colour sceme though
Is there any reason why MCN videos always have really bad audio?

A classic in the making ?
austrian quality :D
i will definately buy one ^^
@corotor12345 I heard that as "essentially" - in which case, the line makes perfect sense to me.
i love KTM RC8
The journalist from Bike magazine must have been lapped 3 times.
Great review, and the bike look awesome.
This is a good bike but unfortunately I live in America and the parts would take forever and cost more for me. So for now I'll stick to my 600rr
...The NASCAR style exhaust is cool...
stop saying basically!
other than that, great vid!
maybe next time you do the talking after the riding - sound is messed up :) but nice vid still!
Not the most comfy bike out there, but it does fly!
@jillybooty
not at all man, i totally agree with you.

neck wireless mic can make your videos much more professional.
@dinkoman Agree with you 100%.
How many times can the he say "Basically" and "Essentially"!! ??
Yeah ... nice bike. I wouldn't say no.
@salsasnacker wrong i've ridden many bikes and my rc8 is by far the most comfortable to ride
Basically...it's a really advanced bike...basically.

Breaking noise at 0:31...
Sintered metal brake pads are noisy...and they STOP!

belo.
TO BE HONEST... all of the HIGH-TECH shit is making me confused. Back in the days we sit on bikes and actually ride them
16k will get you one
That's a great bike, but I just don't like the look of it!
@vithaj92 - I see that you live in a world where constructive criticism is banned. How's life in the stone age?
0:10 -> Something you do not see every day - I would fall into trance 3♥KTM♥
ewwwww that tailpiece is horrid
