I use this bass only for the studio because it has the right tone. The build craftsmanship may not be as good as a Fender but sound wise, it sounds like a pro instrument in a song mix. You could use this bass on an A list celebrity artist record and nobody would notice it’s a budget instrument
Would you say that it's good for tapping and slapping and stuff? I want to buy a bass that I'd eventually be able to learn every technique on, so that's why I'm wondering :)
@@mina_rdhd for tapping an slapping, you can use any bass but brighter sounding basses are usually a little better like a Jazz bass. I think the most versatile bass might be the G&L L2000 or the L2500 model
I dont know man at this point its just a decal on the headstock and maybe cheaper electronics but does it really matter? maybe to the audiophiles. Budges instrument these days are so friggin well made.
I have a surf green one and it feels way better than my Mexican P-bass, the neck on my Mexican doesn't feel as good, I also had a Vintage Modified that felt way better than my Mexican P-bass and even a lot of Americans i get to try out at our local used shop
I’m seriously thinking of buying this exact bass. I could care less if it says Squire. If it plays and sounds good that all I care about is I love that neck.
Haha ya, my EBMM stingray special HH is super light and not cheap haha. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, both of my modulus Quantum’s (a 6 and a 5) are not light and not cheap haha. I came to this video because I was recommending one of these to a friend (I’ve got one) and while the playing is decent and gives a good indication of what the bass is capable of, things like squires “need more frequent maintenance cycles” is just straight up ridiculous haha. There’s some good playing and some bad misinformation here haha.
High wattage guitar amps sometimes work soundwhise providing you use a bass cab. I wouldn't use guitar speakers to avoide damage. But don't count on a Marshall because they usually have not enough low end and sound too harsh in the treble and wouldn't cut through any mix. Unless you look for a unique sound there is nothing wrong with playing an amp made for bass.
Solid Instrument ( Specs & Sonics ) review. Unfair comparative query -> Excluding price differential between P-Squire & P-Player, which bass wins overall. No worries if the query is percieved to be unfair resulting in no response. Thx.
The thing is, the only main difference in those two is going to be the electronics. I have had BETTER luck and better quality wood/necks/bodies from Chinese Squier than I have Fender Mexico in the five years or so! A Classic Vibe 52 Tele with Fender pickups and a $40 bridge, you're literally 95% of the way there to an American Tele, without the Fender logo on the headstock. Are you interested in a good guitar? Or being able to sell it for a good price later? I don't ever go into buying a guitar thinking about what I can sell it for later, that's dumb.

If your on stage, the crowd has no idea. My 60s p squier rocks and maintains perfectly.
i dont see why anyone would care anyway. its just wood with stringy bits on it that makes noises. if it sounds good then it sounds good

Good stuff youz guyz! Thank you for a great demo. I almost wanna buy a surf green one just to stare at it in the music room!
I have this same bass in seafoam and I put SD quarter pounders (spb3)
How do you like them? What is different than the stock pickup?
thanks for the great demo

He kept saying it was lite at only 9 lbs so it's cheap. I have a 2012 American Standard P bass at 9 lbs so does that make it cheap?

Are these better than the 40th anniversary?
Great Demo!
What Amp do you use?
He has it in the description
I have a CV Jazz Bass. Great instrument for the price.
Hey, do you guys have a Reverb store or similar where you sell the stuff you've already reviewed?
Check the description

Hey guys, i'm new to the bass game. Is it possible to play a bass through a marshall guitar tube amp? Or does it die then?

my finish definitely doesn't look like that! looks flamed maple yet it isn't in person. so not sure what is going on.
