I have had the Tepui Ruggedized Kukenam 3 rooftop tent for over a year now. After spending 20+ nights sleeping in the tent I wanted to share my honest review.

I have a Kukenam 3 ruggedized on a 5 foot Tacoma bed with the half-height bed rack. This biggest pain in the neck is getting the zipper closed behind the cab. We have a 4 foot length of paracord attached to the zipper which helps zipping up the cover behind the cab and the wife sits in the back seat with the rear window open to help guide the zipper. The wife and I take care to fold the fabric in nicely when closing the tent else it's much harder to close and zip the outer cover.
Thank you for sharing your experience. When you deploy your tent do you detach the cover zipper or leave it on? I reattach the zipper and cover every time and it takes a very long time :(
@@Yellowpost_Outdoors I have a ruggedized Kukenam 4 for more than two years now. I leave the rain fly at home most of the time on my trips, it is easier to zip the cover without it. I use stratchits connected with tie down straps that goes from inside the tent, out the windows then back in to help keep the fabric in and collapsed when closing. With a small carabiner attached to the zipper, I use one of the tent rods to pull the zipper behind the cab. Happy camping!
What’s your awning set up. I just bought the tent and I would like to add the awning on the same side the tent opens just like yours. I have 2020 ram 1500 thanks

Can anyone else provide a little insight into the comfort of the mattress? Is it really that bad?
