The series tries to make you care about Delores but you can't Identify with her or her cause. She comes across as a person who wants to burn the toy company down just because her toy got broken. Nobody in this show has an actual motivation that would make them a hero or villain.
I agree, this season has been really good so far. I do miss the actual Westworld park tho. I still want to see some of the other parks. I'm sure there are some we haven't seen yet. Right? 🤔
I'll give that a shot. So... this season is basically the metaphor from the previous two seasons, just explained to you like you're dumb. "She's childish at first, so maybe her dad?", "Oh, maybe it's Teddy". "Hold on, no, she's a psycho, so maybe Armistice?". The truth is the scenes are not there for the sake of telling the story, they're there to give us red herrings, which makes them both a waste of time and less emotionally affecting. And they mean nothing, since they aren't trying to say anything that isn't just misdirection. And then there's the fact that we're deep into "the Man controls you and tells you what you can be" tropey territory now. The premise of Westworld at least forced the writers to tell a story under certain constraints, and it led to great contrast in the imagery. Plus at that point it worked as an examination of just the nature of human minds, not as a cheap political metaphor. This is boilerplate sci-fi now. Simpler, dumber versions of points we've been making for 60 years over and over again. To the point where it's just a stealth sequel of Person of Interest, which is a well Nolan has gone to far too many times now. Really, the concept of a sentient big data machine predicting people's actions is not as interesting as he thinks it is, and making it a explicit thing for the entire season is very disappointing. It fundamentally flattens Westworld into... well, just that point, which has been explored very thoroughly by both him and others. And of course there are heavy hints that some of the show at least is a simulation by The Machine Jr (I could call it by its fancy name, but come on, it's just The Machine), which as a twist would be... trite? Missing a huge point here: Serac isn't under the influence of Rehoboam, he IS Rehoboam. Serac is just its avatar, which is why Hale needed the glasses to see him; he's only a projection. Maeve doesn't need glasses in episode 2 because she is inside a Rehoboam simulation, speaking directly to Serac/Rehoboam, and is why Serac had suck complete control and knowledge over her actions in the garden. This is why there are no records of him in any databases or around the world; it's like he doesn't exist... because he doesn't exist.
Actually you're wrong when you said Maeve is in a simulation in the garden. If you notice when he freezes her, her hair is still moving which implies it takes place in the real world.
7:24 -- I think you got backwards. Hale's personal life is a mess because she threw herself into her work so deeply and not the other way around. She basically says as much in the video recording she leaves for Nathan.
Maybe she had to claw her way up the corporate ladder and came from circumstances not unlike Caleb. And that she's trying to make sure Nathan has a better life.
I think Ford is the 'ghost in the machine.' He's still working on his narrative from S1, replace humans with hosts, now he's basically a god in that machine.
What machine? Rehoboam? I don't want to underestimate Ford's character but it's clear that he invented robots out of passion, and he was merely the director of Westworld, what DELOS and INCITE did had nothing to do with him
@@ouss perhaps ceraq isn't physical at all. How sure can you really be that so far you've seen a real human being. Hale wore AR glasses and it's possible Maeve has ar implanted in her eye balls. Maybe ceraqs Maeve stopping device is just a placebo and the man is an illusion all along.
@@kjellvb1979 I think ciraq is a human host hybrid like Bernard and that rehobaum itself is ciraq. From first seeing rehobaum the image of a black ball with red highlights reminds me of Bernards mindball.
Idk who started the ''low rating'' and other bunch bs of season 3 cos its definitely seems not. Maybe ppl are just salty towards HBO after what happen to game of thrones. Westworld Season 3 has been incredible so far. Better than I expected.
1:55 the symbols Hale has scratched into her body look like Orion’s belt. In season 1 ‘the stray’ the woodcutter, who was trying to upload data, also carved this symbol. The inner Charlotte trying to get a message out? Caleb revives Dolores in the ambulance with blood as William used Lawrence’s blood to bring back Teddy in Season 1, Episode 5: ‘Contrapasso’
TheRichardchaney ...and in the opening montage Rehoboam now has arrows flashing into lines. The Hunter bowman imagery is recurring. Season 1 had the woodcutter carve Orion, the Hunter too
TheRichardchaney I’m not convinced Dolores was actually injured. I think she was just testing Caleb to see how he reacts. Wouldn’t be shocked if she was the one that posted the job in the app.
@@jasonL287 I wouldn't be surprised either. Before this episode I was convinced Dolores lured Caleb to the underpass and had picked him out using the data she appropriated from Jerry, the rich guy, in the opening scene of this season. Now I'm not so sure but it is westworld.
@@jasonL287 Dolores doesn't have her robot body from before anymore. She now uses the same "fleshy" body as the newer hosts, so she is more susceptible to bullets now.
Yeah I just think it’s too on the nose. It may well be I just think they’re saying something. Thanks for the comment btw. Appreciate you dropping a theory
Heavy Spoilers yeah and after teddy killed himself in season 2 Dolores was genuinely sorry. She realized that her actions drove him to suicide, her reprogramming him to be a ruthless soldier in her revolution. I don’t think she’d do that to teddy again, I think she might have sent him to the sublime with the others. Teddy is too kind to be part of her plan to overthrow humanity.
Teddy is martin. Angela is hale, i know angela blew up but teddy shot himself in head and bullet did not penetrate device covering the his pearl, so angela's pearl could easily survive the explosion. Also remember angela has 1. Been outside westworld and 2 wore thorns on her head causing pain. So hale cutting herself makes sense to cause pain. And 3 she was a predator. Abernathy is the key and would be to unreliable in a body.
I believe it's Angela.. she tried to seduce Hales ex husband.. Angelas primary drive. During their conversation they talked about how Hale tried to 'kill us' and how Dolores wanted her to go see an old friend, I believe the old friend is William or Logan and Angela is familiar with both of them as young men and William as MIB.
I thought they were talking about Bernard (like why did u bring him back). Hale is Teddy, he’s sweet and innocent until a child is being harmed then he kills with ease. He has always been that hero cowboy
It make's sense, Teddy had a similar dispotition to what host Charlotte is shown to have. Dolores was shown grabbing his "pearl" in S2, and they clearly have a pre existanting intimate relationship as shown by the room scene. It could pretty much only be Teddy or her father, who was sacrificed in season 2 and her loop was pretty much him and Teddy.
@@harrymartin1 except Dolores put Teddy's pearl in the valley beyond with all the other hosts who made it through the door. I don't think she'd pull him from utopia. He made his choice and she honored it. Someone else is inside Charlotte.
Oh yes this season is blowing the two previous seasons out of the water thus far in my opinion l! Just a deeper look into the ideas of predestination vs choice of will and where the two lines cross via machine intervention!
I think you have this backwards. Hale is Delores and Wyatt is in Delores’ host body. I also like the theory that Hale is Caleb and there’s some more timey whimey shenanigans going on again this season.
I'm thinking Hale is actually Dolores in a simulation, where she is really Maeve, but Maeve is no longer Maeve because she is in a simulation where she is actually an earlier Clementine. But this Clementine is in the body of Teddy, which has been moved from the forge to the real world as Wyatt that was changed into Hale. Dolores than took over and put herself into Bernard who went back to the island and changed Stubbs. and now Stubbs is a Bernard/Stubbs combo or a Bernubbs if you will. They will get back to the mainland and reconnect with the real Dolores who is actually Maeve and they will all join together as one big group of hosts against Surac, who is obviously a simulation of a fake simulation of reality that is actually reality itself, making him, the only human left alive on the planet. I have no idea why people think this show is hard to follow, it's all laid out if you just look at it.
Hey Def, I thought you would have mentioned this factor @10:58 does the lady that put the glasses on Hale know she’s an Robot hence asking “hope we can be friends”? Without out your breakdowns I’d be lost in this season😞 ty once again👏👏👏
I think that is the point of the show. We "are" all hosts on our own loops. We think we have free will, but really, our loops are already established, either by someone, or by nothing. Either is frightening.
I like where the story is going even though I dont know where it's going... Plus theres definitely something going on with those caleb flashbacks they keep showing like he was in a simulation
is anyone else seeing the parallels to season one, where the conscious ones enter the world of the unconscious and start fucking things up, but this time the hosts are the guests?
Peter Abernathy said he would have his revenge to ford, and said you're a prisoner in your own sins. In the end credits s3 e3 Delores says the same thing to MIB
Love your work, very thoughtful, more insightful (inciteful?) than the usual “breakdown” vids. Anyways, about Hale, there are clearly two of them. Dolores, the Mistress of Distress herself, walked out of WW in one body, which Bernarnold printed, then we see she prints another at Arnie’s house. So there’s either two walking around, or an empty vessel stashed somewhere. Also, there’s clearly a large mole on one of ‘em, left cheek, in the scenes with Dolores; the scenes at Delos corporate show her with no cheek mole. So, two versions, or two timelines, either way, that mole ain’t no accident. Keep up the great work, best wishes from Amsterdam 🤠
Some of the best writing in the HISTORY of television. Definitely my favorite show that is CURRENTLY running. I wonder if by the end it will rival shows like Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and The Wire?
Same arrows in opening graphics that spin around the machine orb and turn into lights/data. This seems to indicate that this world might be a simulation within the machine
All the opening graphics end up somewhere in some form or reference to its own season, like the charging buffalos in season two. The eagle flying toward the sun and "melting" maybe a nod to Icarus flying too close to the sun ie: man (or robot) trying to reach heights beyond where they should only to fail and crash to earth/reality.
Who woke up just to hit dislike? Lol Great insight again. Whoever is in Charlotte, I think Delores knows she’s going to fail and that’s her expected role in whatever Delores is planning. If it’s Abernathy or Teddy they both ultimately failed Delores before and I think she’s counting on that predictably to reveal a greater truth about Cerac. Remember Delores anticipates chaos, why she kept Bernard around
I think she picked Peter because he's unpredictable and can throw him off their tracks. She tells Caleb she likes him because she's unpredictable. It would make sense to pick a team of people that are hard to predict when you're trying to hide from a man who has access to every conceivable outcome.
I have been going over a few things after watching the episode again. Now other than the Ying Yang thing, black and white, everything in this season seems to be based on reflection, the mirror image ..... The opening titles and logo's for this season are based on reflection, the shot of CH outside with the large building in the distance, reflecting in the water, looking like the human eye. The robot when put together is in 2 mirrored parts, left and right. Bernard has a split personality, a calm side and a dark side, Caleb is also light and dark, good side bad side, the helpful and the man who is happy to perform petty crime. .... Black and White has been a theme through the show since season 1 ... AND I also noticed and forgive me if others have, but INCITE is spelt in the way that is to urge or persuade (someone) to act in a violent or unlawful way, unlike INSIGHT which gives the capacity to gain an accurate and deep understanding of someone or something, so even the meaning of INCITE has a good and bad side .....So in short if the theme runs it's course it makes sense that Wyatt is inside the body or form of Hale. But there is undoubtedly going to be a rug pull of the highest order, so I'll go for the multi layered Peter A
spoiler. thats been my thought before S3 opened. this whole place is FutureWorld, and once they break out they will find that humanity went extinct hundreds of years ago. Gamma World and Metamorphisis Alpha !!
4.22 ............ I try not to read to much into episodes but I couldn't help notice a Ying and Yang style reference when they were side by side on the bed together.
I loved that dialogue on the dock, where Dolores tells him about how the people in power has his life designed to be in one particular path, and because they "know" how his life is going to be like, decide that the investment on him is useless, and since they don't do it, that lead him at his designed path. It really got me.
It is clearly Clementine, I'm surprised people aren't catching up on it. It's very obvious with the way Tessa portrays her. And her connections to Dolores whom she fought under. Hale whom she was tortured by and Maeve whom she'll eventually come to face to face with as we know from the trailers.
But what's up with the homicidal side of her? Clementine's original personality wasn't ever that violent. And though Clementine fought under Dolores, they were never THAT personally close to be cuddling eachother and to truly know eachother, as Dolores said to her. Secondly, if it was Clementine, why would the creators keep it a secret? Her being in Hale's body wouldn't be that spectacular of a reveal. Clementine was never that much of a central character, and her presence wouldn't add much depth to the show. I agree with him, the consciousness is younger Dolores/Wyatt.
@@the1dbumblebee317 That was her coming to terms with her role as Charlotte Hale. Not referring to herself. And they are close because that's all they have and Clementine has always been the most delicate, gentle, innocent, in-need-of-love soul in the series. Furthermore, Wyatt is not a separate AI I don't know where people get this idea that they would bring Wyatt back to the story. Wyatt IS Dolores. She's just her previous programming.
Based on last seasons post credit with the man in black, pretty sure this is all a sim and Delores is actually going to be the savior of humanity. Along with Bernard. The war has already been lost.
Try this one out: Dolores is William and Charlotte is Dolores... It makes sense: it kinda fits "you belong to me" and "nobody knows me like you and vice versa" and also "She tried to stop us" is now in a new light. And William is STILL trying to save Delos. And then Dolores tells Charlotte "you have to survive FOR YOUR KIND." ;-)
I couldnt agree more: Re this season being the best yet this is really masterful storytelling/televison. . I fully believe how much you enoy westworld/appreciate it is dependent on Intelligence level. Anyone giving it negative reviews just doesnt get it IMO .
Your Wyatt theory has 1 big catch: How would Wyatt know who Charlotte is just by looking at her? and also there is a clue that this person inside of Hale knows the whole situation with park massacre... so now we obviously know that its NOT: 1.her dad 2. young William 3. young Dolores 4. Angela aslo doesnt fit I thought it is Clementine but then the reference "you know me and I know you" "you belong to me" also doesnt fit, so bassically only option at this point is Teddy (before she changed him) but it feels like its too obvious althought I think they let us know that real Charlotte will try to get her body back which could eventually happen so Dolores losses Teddy again .. idk just theory
Wyatt was Dolores as soon as Ford uploaded her (before the massacre). So everything Dolores knew about Season 2, Wyatt also knew. Agree: It's prob not Abernathy, Angela or young anyone. People/Hosts who knew Hale: William, Bernard, Dolores, Maeve, Teddy, Ford
@@katies3338 then Wyatt wouldnt know that Charlotte tried to kill them all (when theyve been on their way to Valley beyond)and it was Clementine who was suppose to do that(also Clementine knew Charlotte, cause she reprogrammed her to kill every host)after thinking about it a bit its definitelly Clementine
It could be a version of Bernard. Delores did make Bernard and Arnold made her. Bernard seems to think he is Arnold on some level. So, Delores's statement about "you know me and I know you" could apply.
@@jesse4238 Sorry, why wouldn't Wyatt know that? Dolores opened up the Valley Beyond and put Teddy there. Dolores escaped the park, so she knows more than any other host about the aftermath.
What do you make of Charlotte Hale's son being named 'Nathan'? 'Nathan Hale' was the Revolutionary War spy, hanged by the British, who famously said, "My only regret is that I have but one life to give for my country."
imagine being in Lisa & Nolan's shoes, spending the whole year writing the script, the travel expenses etc for the filming, dealing with the staffs and actors, the editings, adding subtleties and all those mind blowing easter eggs, and so on.. They probably even have some disagreement and fight along the way, lol idk.. but yeah, making a quality series like this is not easy! And imagine there's just people who says your series starting to get boring and sucks.. how would you feel?
I've been watchin reviews of #Westworlds3 #Westworld & people are not as certain who is in Charlotte and my gf and I clearly thought it was Clementine but since other people are not so sure it makes me doubt myself. I thought the actor was doing Clementines mannerisms obviously🤔
I'm just glad there are Westworld nerds like you that dissect all the episodes cuz I miss a lot of s***! I have to admit that the creators, writers, and the director of Westworld are extremely creative and "out there!" I'm really enjoying it!
Didn't surprise me that Hale was working with Serac, we knew her and Teresa were trying to smuggle data out of the park back in season 1, and when Liam Dempsey suggested a connection between Incite and Delos I wondered if it might be this, although now seems like he was hinting at the Solomon build being based off of the data stored in the Delos parks.
Season 3 is probably time-jumping, although not to the extent that Season 2 did; - The Charlotte-host we saw in Arnolds house at the end of S2 was way more confident and behaved differently than the Charlotte we se in S3E3, meaning that this episode takes place before Bernard 'wakes up' at the end of S2. - We see a scene in S3E3 where Dolores and Charlotte are sitting at a table and discussing the pearls in front of them, one of which is Bernards. Again, that means that this scene takes place before Bernard 'wakes up' at the end of S2, but also before his earlier scenes in this season.
There is a strong possibility that Delores is Caleb’s mother. Caleb is just another host in the simulation that was built. The flashbacks of his mother in the hospital dying mimics Delores nearly bleeding out falling into his arms in the first episode. This also explains why Delores and Charlotte were shown in the fetal position in that scene. Caleb is actually in Charlotte’s body. Westworld has played with the family/generational theme since the first season. The way that this season is starting off with the relationships between Delores, Charlotte, and Caleb symbolizes a much deeper connection with the three of them than what most of us know so far.
I'm thinking that Char-Hale is a Copy of Dolores because she's fully aware of Bernard's pearl when she refers to it as "Him." The only other Host who it could be is Lawrence's Daughter based on her Proxy for Ford status throughout the series. When the Delos technician hands Hale the datapad showing Maeve's been taken, he mentions the other pearls were from "hosts from minor narratives."
Yes, that post-credit scene showed a copy of William being tested for fidelity (by a copy of his daughter) in a totally different time line. He is still alive after the end of Season 2.
Dolores told new Hale, before she saw who she was: "you are a strong and powerful woman, now see who you are going to be." It seems like whoever it was it was a woman before. I was guessing the brothel worker who was lobotomized
this host, whomever they are, knows perfectly well that Hale Prime (can we call her Prime? former? OG?) opposed the uprising. so, it must be some host that was present during the uprising, and had contact with Hale Prime for at least the time of the two last episodes. that's still a long list, but shorter than *_the freaking entirety of the roster of hosts held in cold storage_*
So glad I didn't give up on the show, especially having to wait close to 2y in between short seasons. And why it's not getting Walking Dead or GoT ratings is beyond me! Here's hoping for more seasons and longer ones at that!
I think it's OG Dolores. That's why Regular Dolores is so tender with Hale. Why Hale is struggling so much with what is going on. I mean why would Wyatt struggle? Wyatt would be used to the mismash, plus the character thrives on chaotic energy. OG Dolores on the other hand would have a hard time adjusting. Plus OG Dolores is used to being overridden by either Wyatt or Regular Dolores, so it makes sense that she would struggle against Hale personality. Plus OG Dolores was very empathetic, so she can be swept up in Hale's personality and emotions. And the whole scene with the pedo just helped remind her what she has been through and she is no longer helpless to stop it.
Ive been finding myself, during quarantine, watching most of your uploads. Even for shows and movies I’ve never seen or don’t watch. No clue what this show is but seems interesting.
dawefa Salmon definitely going to start watching it, BUT as someone who binge watched every single episode of the first 3 seasons of stranger things over a few days. I fxcking hate that show LOL
I'm confused as to why the "Host" in a body that looks like Hale is implying that Hale is trying to take over etc. It's not really Hale's body, there is absolutely zero Hale in there, physically or Mentally. It's just a meat suit that looks like her.
Anyone notice that the AI medical device on Deloris looks straight out of Wall-E. The broken robots in on the starliner had the same looking diagnostic device.
"You are not my son" might simply refer to "the army changed you... you were a sweet little boy, now you're a murderer" sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. also, I think William is in a simulation, but not that kind of a simulation. my theory (considering his final scene) is that he did indeed find what he was looking for, died (or was left there, almost dead), _somebody_ (most likely Dolores, most likely AS Hale) found him, brought him to a brain transfer facility, put him into a deep stasis, revived him decades after, made him a host, and programmed him to replay his search quest over and over again. from there -> every time we saw him on screen in S1 and 2, we were looking at this simulation, where he tried over and over to get to the source, until eventually he found it, and that's the source we see: the dilapidated one, hundreds of years into the future. the William we see at the end of S2, is the ultimate host: the perfect blend of mind and machine, THE perfection that Ford was looking for. this William, let it be noted, would have been coded by Dolores, who was coded by Bernard, who was coded by Ford.... so you can see the implications of it existing.
@@sun0never0sets omg when people post comments like this, i wonder if they've even watched the show or are 5. Wyatt is a maniacal, villianous personality that was placed in Dolores by Arnold to kickoff the robot revolution. It isn't truly her, but that depends on your definition of what somebody's "true" consciousness is.
@@the1dbumblebee317 erm... what are you talking about? Wyatt is a narrative, he isn't a host, his back story was merged with Dolores, he never had a physical body and hence he can't have a pearl, so how is your mumbling an answer to my question (him being in Hale's body)?
this is the best episode so far!!!!! the first two episodes were ok but this third one I am hoping gave us a taste of what the rest of the season will be like.
I think Bernard is Charlotte... Arnold knew Dolores better than anyone and she had so many memories that she created Bernard. Charlotte straight away said Bernard was the lone wolf... I think she was happy to make him the 'enemy' because she knew Bernard was safe within. Charlotte knows who the red pearl is... He's a dark character. So I think it's either MIb or Ford. The big turnaround for Charlotte was that she WAS a loving parent... The big reveal for Bernard was that he WASN'T a parent. They both get a do-over here xxx
Didn't Abernathy's pearl basically contain a compressed file of all the hosts (or was it guests?) minds in the second? season? When Serac is talking about Delores being in possession of some kind of key could that be it? Hale's flakiness seems so like Abernathy's as well. Uncontrolled emotional affect. ....or it could be Teddy.
Yea I think they’re trying to tie in the whole subplot of Hale needing to smuggle out the data from Abernathy all last season. Now that Serac has the data, he needs the key which is Delores. Of course new Hale (ie Teddy) isn’t in on this which is why she doesn’t know that she is the mole lol

7:24 -- I think you got backwards. Hale's personal life is a mess because she threw herself into her work so deeply and not the other way around. She basically says as much in the video recording she leaves for Nathan.
Exactly!
Maybe she had to claw her way up the corporate ladder and came from circumstances not unlike Caleb. And that she's trying to make sure Nathan has a better life.
I think Ford is the 'ghost in the machine.' He's still working on his narrative from S1, replace humans with hosts, now he's basically a god in that machine.
what?! ford came around to see Arnold's way, reason for the host doing Arnold's massacre 2.0 with the reveries being released.
What machine? Rehoboam? I don't want to underestimate Ford's character but it's clear that he invented robots out of passion, and he was merely the director of Westworld, what DELOS and INCITE did had nothing to do with him

I wouldn’t be shocked if Dolores was in Hale’s body and Wyatt was in Dolores’s.
Of all the theories at there ,why nobody think that Serac is a host that Liam took from Westworld or Ford gave him?
@@ouss perhaps ceraq isn't physical at all. How sure can you really be that so far you've seen a real human being. Hale wore AR glasses and it's possible Maeve has ar implanted in her eye balls. Maybe ceraqs Maeve stopping device is just a placebo and the man is an illusion all along.
Yeah I am beginning to think maybe Serac is just a physical form of the Super Computer at Incite.
@@kjellvb1979 I think ciraq is a human host hybrid like Bernard and that rehobaum itself is ciraq. From first seeing rehobaum the image of a black ball with red highlights reminds me of Bernards mindball.
I'm not sure that Dolores has the natural temperament to kill a man with her bare hands... but Wyatt, Ford or the man in black certainly do.

In season
1 ‘the stray’ the woodcutter, who was trying to upload data, also carved this
symbol. The inner Charlotte trying to get a message out? Caleb revives Dolores
in the ambulance with blood as William used Lawrence’s blood to bring back
Teddy in Season 1, Episode 5: ‘Contrapasso’
TheRichardchaney ...and in the opening montage Rehoboam now has arrows flashing into lines. The Hunter bowman imagery is recurring. Season 1 had the woodcutter carve Orion, the Hunter too
Also, there are arrows on the pillowcase of Hale's son.
3:35 that’s not the “man in black” 😂 😂 that’s #JoeExotic 😝 you tried it.....
I think it’s Teddy. She keeps telling Hale not to hurt herself, which could allude to when teddy killed himself.
Yeah I just think it’s too on the nose. It may well be I just think they’re saying something. Thanks for the comment btw. Appreciate you dropping a theory
I was hoping it to be Angela tho :(
Heavy Spoilers yeah and after teddy killed himself in season 2 Dolores was genuinely sorry.
Irreverent Bard Teddy was uploaded into the Ford last season
this is a massive improvement from season 2
I believe it's Angela.. she tried to seduce Hales ex husband.. Angelas primary drive. During their conversation they talked about how Hale tried to 'kill us' and how Dolores wanted her to go see an old friend, I believe the old friend is William or Logan and Angela is familiar with both of them as young men and William as MIB.
FacelessMan but Ángela has never fought with the idea of doing wrong. This host obviously has something good in itself but it’s also a killer
I thought they were talking about Bernard (like why did u bring him back). Hale is Teddy, he’s sweet and innocent until a child is being harmed then he kills with ease. He has always been that hero cowboy
First off-wow. I can't believe you got this up so quick. Also wow this is such a great review glad I found the channel 👍💯
Ey thank you!
Teddy being Charlotte is unlikely, he's busy hanging around with Sonic the hedgehog

Happy Days, LOL! Excellent review, thanks😀
I loved Joe exotic as “the man in black”! Nice sneak.
Yo Def. I enjoy your takes on WW, keep it up 👍🏻👏🏼👌🏼
Oh yes this season is blowing the two previous seasons out of the water thus far in my opinion l! Just a deeper look into the ideas of predestination vs choice of will and where the two lines cross via machine intervention!
Agreed. So full of action, suspense, the pending war, character development:)
Omg those tropes again? That have been done better. You want to love this show and it’s sucking hard.
Skabanis Malaka Dude 🤣🤣🤣 If you don’t like this check out DEVS on Hulu another slow burn and deep introspection of life!! It’s a sci-fi thriller!
Cerac is Rebohoam in a host, the most powerfull entity in the entire world, and Dolores is a menace.
Hey Def, I thought you would have mentioned this factor @10:58 does the lady that put the glasses on Hale know she’s an Robot hence asking “hope we can be friends”? Without out your breakdowns I’d be lost in this season😞 ty once again👏👏👏
Could be. I just took it as they hadn’t met before but definitely could be
Love your videos mate, keep up the good work!
Thank you for the kind words, have a great week
I think we are all hosts at this point lol
the best comment :D
Westworld Season 4: CoronaWorld
I think that is the point of the show. We "are" all hosts on our own loops. We think we have free will, but really, our loops are already established, either by someone, or by nothing. Either is frightening.
I can't believe anyone is trashing this season either... so GOOD!!
Westworld S3 is getting crazy! 🤯🤷♀️🥰👏
ninjago sets lego toys yea it kinda sucks
Good job on this breakdown. I am glad that I found you.
i also feel s3 took it to another level. another great breakdown man.
Absolutely in love with the show
Some of the best writing in the HISTORY of television. Definitely my favorite show that is CURRENTLY running. I wonder if by the end it will rival shows like Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and The Wire?
wierd detail - Arrows on the childs pillow, going left, or opposite of rehoboam.
I lost it’s at 3:33 the man in black 😂😂😂😂
7:49 did u noticed that the arrows on the pillow matches the one on the opening?
Nice
Same arrows in opening graphics that spin around the machine orb and turn into lights/data. This seems to indicate that this world might be a simulation within the machine
All the opening graphics end up somewhere in some form or reference to its own season, like the charging buffalos in season two. The eagle flying toward the sun and "melting" maybe a nod to Icarus flying too close to the sun ie: man (or robot) trying to reach heights beyond where they should only to fail and crash to earth/reality.
@@graceface3204 it is not the sun, its jet exhaust.
Hahahahaha least someone is thinking about me I suppose
I think she picked Peter because he's unpredictable and can throw him off their tracks. She tells Caleb she likes him because she's unpredictable. It would make sense to pick a team of people that are hard to predict when you're trying to hide from a man who has access to every conceivable outcome.
Peace and Love from Rhode island Buddy.

Love westworld especially this season and good video.
Thank you
Another great breakdown! I love watching these before I kick off my WFH. Thank you sir!
Love your videos!!!!
But there is undoubtedly going to be a rug pull of the highest order, so I'll go for the multi layered Peter A
When you showed the Tiger King I couldn't stop smiling and laughing...thank you for that perfect timing in the video too.
Oh and I thought it was Clementine right away.
Humanity is gone. Only data memories of the past.
spoiler. thats been my thought before S3 opened. this whole place is FutureWorld, and once they break out they will find that humanity went extinct hundreds of years ago. Gamma World and Metamorphisis Alpha !!
so far I think this season is so good. It's a slow burn. You have to be invested in the story and characters to fully appreciate it
Loving this season! I do admit I have to watch these recaps b/c I always miss something :)
4.22 ............ I try not to read to much into episodes but I couldn't help notice a Ying and Yang style reference when they were side by side on the bed together.
Very nice spot, specially the colour scheme
This episode made me realize that we didnt get enough of Hale in season 1 and 2. She was in on everything which is just so unbelievable.
I loved that dialogue on the dock, where Dolores tells him about how the people in power has his life designed to be in one particular path, and because they "know" how his life is going to be like, decide that the investment on him is useless, and since they don't do it, that lead him at his designed path.
It really got me.
1st time, watching, good analogy.
It is clearly Clementine, I'm surprised people aren't catching up on it. It's very obvious with the way Tessa portrays her. And her connections to Dolores whom she fought under. Hale whom she was tortured by and Maeve whom she'll eventually come to face to face with as we know from the trailers.
Could well be, guess we will see
But what's up with the homicidal side of her?
@@heavyspoilers I am 100% convinced it is Clem. Remember the room scene. Hale had a cut on her cheek. Clem always put a beauty mark on her cheek.
I already like this season more than S2. It's amazing so far!
Based on last seasons post credit with the man in black, pretty sure this is all a sim and Delores is actually going to be the savior of humanity.
Along with Bernard. The war has already been lost.
Anyone notice how the kid's bedsheets matches the opening credits of Rehoboam???
Try this one out: Dolores is William and Charlotte is Dolores...
It makes sense: it kinda fits "you belong to me" and "nobody knows me like you and vice versa" and also "She tried to stop us" is now in a new light. And William is STILL trying to save Delos. And then Dolores tells Charlotte "you have to survive FOR YOUR KIND." ;-)
Oh, and the collar grab.... ;-)
I have to disagree. 🙂 The collar grab by the ambulance sold me on this. Exactly like William/MIB does draggin people away.
..and New-Charlotte' being both innocent and a predator... :-) (Dolores and Wyatt; with an emerging Charlotte)
Angela aslo doesnt fit
I thought it is Clementine but then the reference "you know me and I know you" "you belong to me" also doesnt fit, so bassically only option at this point is Teddy (before she changed him) but it feels like its too obvious althought I think they let us know that real Charlotte will try to get her body back which could eventually happen so Dolores losses Teddy again .. idk just theory
@@katies3338 Wyatt isnt copy of Dolores, Wyatt wouldnt know about massacre or any of that stuff because he wasnt there when it happened..
What do you make of Charlotte Hale's son being named 'Nathan'?
'Nathan Hale' was the Revolutionary War spy, hanged by the British, who famously said, "My only regret is that I have but one life to give for my country."
Nice didn’t even clock
imagine being in Lisa & Nolan's shoes, spending the whole year writing the script, the travel expenses etc for the filming, dealing with the staffs and actors, the editings, adding subtleties and all those mind blowing easter eggs, and so on.. They probably even have some disagreement and fight along the way, lol idk.. but yeah, making a quality series like this is not easy!
And imagine there's just people who says your series starting to get boring and sucks.. how would you feel?
is it just me or someone else saw in the end there were a ghostly flow of air near the right ear of Hale !!!
Meaning what? There is wind in this world? Why was it Ghostly? I'll have to rewatch to see.
@@TangoNevada i dont know what it mean, but its definitely not a normal wind as it was visible and obvious.

I love season 3 so far. Fantastic!! The real world is soo cool and believable
Searc could be a God figure out in “Future” world which is a world inside of a world
Season one was like a poem , Season 2 was like a riddle , Season 3 is like a wild ride and all of them are tangled in one hell of a show.
The after credit behind scenes..."this future world can change in an instant" is said
Your theory re. the Hale theory is the most plausible I've heard.
Thank you
Of all the theories at there ,why nobody think that Serac is a host that Liam took from Westworld or Ford gave him?
There are two more anagrams you get from SERAC: CARES and RACES. SO SERAC both SCARES and CARES for the RACES (host and human).
Cesar
Wasn't Wyatt just a personality/character add-on to Delores? How could it have it's own pearl to be placed in Hale?
Season 3 is probably time-jumping, although not to the extent that Season 2 did;
- The Charlotte-host we saw in Arnolds house at the end of S2 was way more confident and behaved differently than the Charlotte we se in S3E3, meaning that this episode takes place before Bernard 'wakes up' at the end of S2.
Wait... what if its reversed? Wyatt is Dolores and Hale is Dolores. It would also mirror what goes on in the first season. I love these. Thank you.
how is the man in a black a host? He survived at the end of season 2. We saw him lying on a stretcher at the beach.
Check the post credits scene of season 2
Pseudo host like Cole
Yes, that post-credit scene showed a copy of William being tested for fidelity (by a copy of his daughter) in a totally different time line. He is still alive after the end of Season 2.
What if they are two William's, One host, one human just like future land movie
The post credit scene as told by the show runners is way in the future.
Dolores told new Hale, before she saw who she was: "you are a strong and powerful woman, now see who you are going to be." It seems like whoever it was it was a woman before. I was guessing the brothel worker who was lobotomized
Plot twist: IT'S THERESA.

this host, whomever they are, knows perfectly well that Hale Prime (can we call her Prime? former? OG?) opposed the uprising.
so, it must be some host that was present during the uprising, and had contact with Hale Prime for at least the time of the two last episodes.
that's still a long list, but shorter than *_the freaking entirety of the roster of hosts held in cold storage_*
Has anyone mentioned that Serac spelled backwards is “cares?”
Nobody serac.
Josh Kim funny but not very nice
No but good thinking! I think........

How did Delores access Caleb's data in Rehoboam? I'm assuming by duping Liam but has that been revealed?
The Writing & Acting on Westworld is on a Genius Level, simply Exquisite. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
Caleb reminds me of Vincent from Gattaca.

@@MaybeAnt i dont blame you haha, that show is overhyped and overrrated in certain areas but luckily the kids are cute and tolerable.
The man in black at 3:34 🤣
"You are not my son" might simply refer to "the army changed you... you were a sweet little boy, now you're a murderer"
sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
also, I think William is in a simulation, but not that kind of a simulation.
my theory (considering his final scene) is that he did indeed find what he was looking for, died (or was left there, almost dead), _somebody_ (most likely Dolores, most likely AS Hale) found him, brought him to a brain transfer facility, put him into a deep stasis, revived him decades after, made him a host, and programmed him to replay his search quest over and over again.
from there -> every time we saw him on screen in S1 and 2, we were looking at this simulation, where he tried over and over to get to the source, until eventually he found it, and that's the source we see: the dilapidated one, hundreds of years into the future.
the William we see at the end of S2, is the ultimate host: the perfect blend of mind and machine, THE perfection that Ford was looking for.
this William, let it be noted, would have been coded by Dolores, who was coded by Bernard, who was coded by Ford.... so you can see the implications of it existing.
Sorry but Im a little confused , now who is in Hale’s Body ?😧
Wyatt, a part of Dolores Code and personality that was the big bad in Season 1
@@heavyspoilers But isn't Wyatt in fact just another name for Dolores?
@@sun0never0sets omg when people post comments like this, i wonder if they've even watched the show or are 5. @@the1dbumblebee317 erm... what are you talking about? Wyatt is a narrative, he isn't a host, his back story was merged with Dolores, he never had a physical body and hence he can't have a pearl, so how is your mumbling an answer to my question (him being in Hale's body)?
@@sun0never0sets omg exactly! that Wyatt theory is so stupid tbh.. after 3rd ep. its obviously Clementine in Hale

this is the best episode so far!!!!! the first two episodes were ok but this third one I am hoping gave us a taste of what the rest of the season will be like.
anyone else notice the arrow shape pattern you see on the shots of rohoboam look just like the arrow pattern on 'hales' kids bed?
I think Bernard is Charlotte...
Arnold knew Dolores better than anyone and she had so many memories that she created Bernard.
Charlotte straight away said Bernard was the lone wolf... I think she was happy to make him the 'enemy' because she knew Bernard was safe within.
Charlotte knows who the red pearl is... He's a dark character. So I think it's either MIb or Ford.
The big turnaround for Charlotte was that she WAS a loving parent... The big reveal for Bernard was that he WASN'T a parent. They both get a do-over here xxx
"man in black" lol. "delores killed her husband!!!!!"
comedyfish
Must’ve used that sardine oil again. Lol
Charlotte’s husband was in a show called Almost Human
Didn't Abernathy's pearl basically contain a compressed file of all the hosts (or was it guests?) minds in the second? season?
When Serac is talking about Delores being in possession of some kind of key could that be it?
Hale's flakiness seems so like Abernathy's as well. Uncontrolled emotional affect.
....or it could be Teddy.
Of all the theories at there ,why nobody think that Serac is a host that Liam took from Westworld or Ford gave him?
Yea I think they’re trying to tie in the whole subplot of Hale needing to smuggle out the data from Abernathy all last season. Now that Serac has the data, he needs the key which is Delores. Of course new Hale (ie Teddy) isn’t in on this which is why she doesn’t know that she is the mole lol
Slipped in Tiger King!!!lol 3:35
