Matt 24: Lights Out for Jerusalem

  • Here is a link to books recommended by John Alley on the topic of end times/eschatology:
    www.peace.org....
John Alley once again turns to Matthew Chapter 24 as he begins this message exploring what the Bible says about end times. Verse 29 of this chapter speaks of the sun and the moon being darkened and the stars falling from the skies. This, however, says John is not to be interpreted literally, but rather as a figure of speech relating to events in human history. John further illustrates this by pointing to other references in Scripture which are identical or very close to it and which clearly prophesy judgement on nations but not literal happenings in the heavens. This passage, says John, describe what was to happen to the nation of Israel and to Judaism.
And indeed, the "lights did go out" in Jerusalem just as Jesus said, with the destruction of the Temple clearly portraying the words of Jesus. The light might go out for nations and for many but as John points out from Scripture, the light of Christ will never fade or depart for the Christian believer. Even in darkness. Light dawns for the righteous, for those who believe and who have the Christ light.
This is a message of hope and will inspire the believer to work for the furtherance of the gospel rather than to be paralyzed by unfounded fear of what the future may hold.

You are 100% God is changing the church to a relationship model. 501c3 Corp churches that have taught lies in the US are being taken out. Home fellowships and small local churches are rising.

I think the great and notable of the lord was when Jesus was crucified and died on the cross. It said the sky went dark. The moon was not bound to give it's light because it gets from the sun. That's just my belief.

The idea the moon reflects the Sun is a theory. The moon gives its own light. Moonlight is four or five degrees cooler than the shadows at night. Moonlight is cold. If it were reflected sunlight it would be warm. Also, the surface luminosity of the moon, as calculated by the inverse square law of light is four quadrillion lumens! No man walked in the moon. The moon is plasma. The moon god of Mecca, ahls is the god of the Freemasons. Nasa claims the earth is a spinning ball on 66.6 degree axis. Obviously satan is at work in these kinds of deceptions.

Observe Revelation 18. All the blood of the saints is found in that city, also note Matthew 23 and Luke 11 to see where and to whom God is holding the blood guiltiness.

Matt. 24 and Mark 13 were spoken by Yahshua on the night before He died.
Luke 21 was spoken 4 days BEFORE.
    Luke 21: 20- 24 will commence soon.
WHEN YOU see Jerusalem surrounded by armies KNOW that it's desolation is near. SOON.
verse 21. Says Everyone in Jerusalem RUN.
Verse 22. These are the days of vengeance. Isa. 61. 1 and 2. Yahshua quoted these scriptures BUT left off " The days of vengeance." It was not time to announce the days of vengeance.
The 144,000 will announce the days of vengeance. SOON.
Verse 23. There will be GREAT WRATH upon the JEWS soon. EVERY man , woman, child and baby Jew in Israel will be literally put to the sword. NO survivors. NOT ONE.
Verse 24 Then the times of the gentiles will commence.
Rev. 11: 2 tells us that the times of the gentiles is the last 42 month BEFORE the second coming.
    Infallible scripture.
May THE creator Yahweh give you understanding in these salvation scriptures of things to come for the wise. Dan. 12: 10.
    Heb. 12: 14.
    Bless you

Getting used to metaphorical language is one of the great challenges many people face. For example in Psalm 104:5 - you only have to look at the verses either side of verse 5 to see that the entire psalm is dripping in metaphor.
4 He makes winds his messengers,
      flames of fire his servants.
      5 He set the earth on its foundations;
      it can never be moved.
      6 You covered it with the watery depths as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
These are wonderful descriptive passages. So when we look at verse 5, it's not wooden. The type of foundations that God speaks of are so secure, wonderful, certain. God himself is the foundation and nothing can shake the earth from that.

I've noticed all preterists say the same thing: Matthew 24:29 is symbolic, Jesus didn't really mean celestial events will occur. However, when Christ was crucified, the sun was darkened all over the earth, and there was an earthquake. If these events happened when Christ died, why would he speak symbolically in Matt 24:29? Also, if these events already occurred, did anyone see Christ as He mentioned in verse 30? Assuming from the preterist theory that Matt 24:30 has been fulfilled, wouldn't that violate Hebrews 9:28? It would seem preterists like Alley are promoting three comings of Christ. This is almost as bad as the pre-tribulation rapture dispensationalists! What about verse 31 Pastor Alley? Were the elect gathered in 70AD? Is this the preterist rapture? There is something wrong with Pastor Alley's theory. I can't explain verse 34 but something just does not fit here. Read the scriptures yourself, pray and ask for revelation from the Holy Ghost. Don't always trust what man says even if it is some well-known pastor like Alley.

John you badly MISQUOTED that scripture in your what appears to be a "prayer". It says not that the word of the Lord will be scarce(you said 'rare'), but it says there will be a famine of the HEARING of the word. Your ministry proves that, as you are NOT speaking the word of the Lord for now, you are just speaking out of the bible and what YOU THINK God is saying.

There are over 100 prophecies from the Old Covenant and NEW covenants yet to be fulfilled. Matt. 24, Mark. 13 , Luke 21 and the book of Revelation commence at the time of the end. Dan. 12: 4 and 9. May Yahweh give you all the understanding you need when the time of the end commences. The time of the end is 1,335 days before the second coming. Dan. 12: 12. WHEN you SEE the SONS of Yahweh doing GREATER things than Yahshua did THEN you will know We are in the time of the end. Dan. 12: 4 and 9 John 14: 12. Rom. 8: 19. The 144,000 literal SONS of Yahweh will restore all lost arms and legs and all lost body parts both external and internal. The Christians will persecute Yahweh's born again SONS. May Yahweh give you all the understanding He knows you need to stand before His literal genetic SON Yahshua in all HOLINESS on that great day of Yahweh Almighty GLORIFIED for all the world to see. Heb. 12: 14. Bless you

This brother needs to read Romans 11. The blindness is not permanent, but partial. v.25 Until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. See also Jeremiah 31:34-37 This is an insult to God's character. God cannot lie .Titus 1:2 There are 3 groups of people on the earth today. 1 Corinthians 10:32 The Jews, the Gentiles, and the Church. I applaud this brother's desire to help the Body Of Christ, but I'm afraid he's a little confused when it comes to God's current and future plans for Israel. Genesis 12:1-3 is still valid. Romans 11:1 Hath God cast away his people? God Forbid! The Apostle Paul said, I would not that ye should be ignorant brethren. Jesus said to the Jewish community, You won't see me again Until. Implying he is not finished with his chosen people .

      Nexus
If you were a Christian who follows the Teachings of Christ you will know the following...
He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. John 21:17
Here we see The Lord hand leadership to Apostle Peter.
      POINT 2:
Acts 15:25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send CHOSEN men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and PAUL,
      Point No.3
Acts 13:2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and SAUL for the work whereunto I have called them.
So who are you Sir, to challenge the Authority of The Holy Ghost and Apostle Peter?
Except you are of course a Muslim. You will understand that Apostle Paul’s Epistles are consistent with the Epistles of St Peter, John, and the Law.
I personally don’t know Minister Alley. But your pride and ignorance really draws my attention to defend the Man of God.

Bible History Science The foundational teachings can not be changed but who is going to keep the apostles doctrine accurate if the God appointed leaders to the church does not oversee. The absence of these God ordained men and woman resulted in the condition the body finds itself in. Unless you are of the view that we are free to interpreting the Bible in any way that is fitting to own conviction. We have evangelist, pastors and teachers but when it comes to prophets people start to become uneasy not to speak about apostles. I am not to sure we were give the choice on that.
