** Exciting news ** - My graphite tier has just gone live on Patreon :). --> www.patreon.com/zaratomsart
One new tutorial every month with a mix of domestic pets and wildlife subjects. I have a library on my website which lists all of the tutorials across my entire Patreon channel so you can see what content is available before joining :) --> petportraitsandwildlifeart.co.uk/?page_id=3404

It's interesting to see the way your stress on layering works. It's an impressive drawing with lots of detail. I'm also a fan of the tombow eraser and shape mine into an angle by regularly rubbing it over sandpaper rather than trimming with a knife. I find it's less disruptive of my drawing process to just quickly drag the tip over the sandpaper block. Thank you for taking the time to share your helpful processes.

Yes, yes, yes, please add a graphite section. Graphite is the only medium I use and the only one I intend using for the foreseeable future. I’m an older student of art, previous level achieved GCE ‘O’ Level in 1964, so specialising in graphite will hopefully see a reasonable level of improvement in a shorter time?
I really like that you show powder techniques, eraser tips and paper quality as an additional step towards improvement.
    Practice makes permanent.

I've had a graphite tier on Patreon for over a year now 🥰. Lots of different animals covered in real time tutorials 😁.

I purchased a ton of graphite stuff years ago and have never used it!! This really makes me want to try. As soon as we get into our house we are purchasing and I have my art studio back up I will be joining your Patreon!

Its such a nice medium to work with ❤. It really does teach us to focus on values and contrast which is so important. I dont have a graphite tier on Patreon yet. Currently its pastels & acrylics. If/when I launch a graphite tier I'll pin it to the comments of this video when its live =)

@@zaratomsart Oh yes, I mostly use pastels and use to use acrylic (havnt painted with acrylic in forever). I’m learning pet portraits in pastel and would love to try acrylic. So that’s why I will be joining!! Your graphite skills and education will just be a bonus! ❤️

I would definitely be interested in a graphite tier on patreon! Started my drawing adventure with graphite

This is something I'm definitely planning to do 😁. I'm looking at potential subject ideas so there is a small library of tutorials immediately available just as I did with the pastel and acrylic tier 😁

Thank you so much for this! I can really see how the different techniques create different textures and this is something I've struggled with when learning to draw! You're an amazing artist and teacher ❤️

I've never got on with the derwent sharpener. Been a few years tho since I've used it. Should try to find it and the refills, would def be a handy tool to have, if I can use it right 😛

The Derwent eraser has always worked great. Really robust. Definitely worth having with those refills =)
