You missed an Easter egg in Little Fungitown, Chugga. If you go to the embassy after Bowser's Castle starts attacking (or after you beat Popple and Birdo), you can see Popple doing community service, supervised by a Toad who calls _him_ Rookie. Ohh, sweet irony. XD
Maybe you should do a Bonus or Extra Episode!

TPrower Not only that but he also forget that the equipment shop has new gear, which is strange he didnt mention, but just since he probably won't show it (unless he goes back after finishing bowser's castle) I'll just say that you can buy the mush badge AA at the equipment shop, which further boosts your POW and has the mush force ability like the previous one Chugga bought. There is also a gear that you can equip (overalls) that boosts your lucky strikes depending on the amount of shrooms you have which can be useful for solo actions.

I don't get all the hate on the ruined town music, I like it a lot. It gives you a sense of extreme urgency and horror of the town in it situation.
Toothless maniac I also like the song myself, it really does fit the mood.

I don't much care for moody organ chord music, either.
I feel the same way as Emile about Shrine of Kaddan in Star Ocean 3, it's long and you have to go through it twice.
The chords feel clashy and the organ doesn't really help. It's a more tolerable song in the remakes, but I still don't care for it much.

See, in the GBA game, the “ruined town” soundtrack sounds rather repetitious…perhaps enough so to earn a silver medal 🥈for Most Repetitious-Sounding Track (the gold medal 🥇going to the Joke’s End theme, of _course)._
However, in the Nintendo 3DS remake, the music actually sounds much, *much* more menacing.

Sounds to me like that music is written in a 7/4 or 7/8 time signature. Without going into the technicalities of what that means, it makes it an impressive song to have composed.
7/8 is really hard to get a handle on for me XD

Dinoyipi Totally off subject of this let's play, but you should check out a video called Starship Groove. It's by a music channel called Animusic (not advertising for them, I promise. You mentioning the time signature made me think of it). Really cool song that uses 7/4 or 7/8 time (I'm with you on not being able to tell which). But as for the music in this game, the time signature is the literally why I consider it to be one of the best songs in the game.

Little fin fact about Iggy. He has more attacks in the Japanese version. He can either try to punch the Bros, or press a button on a remote, which causes rockets to attack the Bros.
Also, if Morton is the biggest Koopaling, does that mean he has... MORE TON?

Dark Magic777 Actually, as Chuggaa mentioned earlier on, not only did the North American version come first, but the Japanese version is generally considered the easier one.
Skelatox I usually see Japanese versions harder in my eyes as the always have one enemy changed that is stronger or something removed that helps the player out lol

One thing to note about Gunner Guys and Hammer Bros: even though Mario has used fire against the latter, Firebrand will actually heal them and the Gunner Guys. However, they are pretty vulnerable to Thunderhand, much like any other Koopa based enemy in this game.
Boos are basically a regular enemy version of Popple that take 3-10 hits to bring down. They give you a tell to indicate which Bro they're going after and then dive bomb you. If you fail to dodge/counter, they will seal off one of your commands (like items, hands, running, etc.).
When a Chomp Bro loses his Chomp, he can actually be stuck without one for a while until he a. Gets a new one or b. Just walks off the battle field, unable to get over the loss of his prized possession. Quite sad, really.
I've been able to use Spin Jump on the platforming segment in Iggy's room; you just have to go around blockades is all.
Chugga, the warp is there to show you what it does, seeing how it's the first one in the game. Plus, (con't.)
(Con't.) the exit to Iggy's room is actually two screens over, not one as you thought.
You can tell which Bill a Sniper Bill will shoot first based on the size of the reticle: big means he's going first, and small means he's going last.
Magikoopas have two variations of fire rings. First one will go for both bros once as you can see in the video. The second will go for a single bro twice.
Chugga, while you're partially correct that Bike Pads haven't been seen in a while, they did show up in Chucklehuck Woods, the only time before Bowser's Castle where they were mandatory for progress.
Ahh I forgot how much I love this area's music! (Fun fact: My phone tried to auto correct that to murder)

I think that was one of Chugga's best moments of singing in any of his Let's Plays ever.
I think Mario had too many syrups before his picture.
Back when the Koopalings were a rarity rather than a bit of an annoyance. (although that depends on your opinion, really) And there was also the Super Mario World port for GBA in 2002, if that counts.
Next appearance after this was 6 years later with New Super Mario Bros Wii...I think.

Bowser's Castle music is undoubtedly the coolest field music in the game. So epic. So perfect for the end of the game.
I remember playing this when it came out and I too was super excited to see the Koopa Kids make an appearance at the end of the game :)

It's *really* sudden when switching to that theme on entering the castle town.
It's a little jarring, almost enough to make someone jump in surprise.
Maybe that's the point of the really loud notes the song starts on, to apply an auditory shock to the visual one.
I just found it a bit off-putting, it's so sudden that it kills the mood and feels out of place imo, because there's almost no build-up to it.
In fact, I'd be confident in saying there's none at all.

He's done let's plays since for a long time. Go and look at when his Earthbound LP Ep. 1 got posted and compare that to today's date. By now he's basically right on time constantly. If you did something for as long as he's done this you'd be pretty precise too. He takes this as serious as a job and he really enjoys it too.

I love the fact that the Koopalings returned in this game. They were really fun bosses in Super Mario World.
Hey, remember how Fawful makes Bowser's castle fly in Bowser's Inside Story? Well, turns out Cackletta implemented that improvement. When Fawful takes over in BIS, he remembers how to make the castle fly, so he decides to use it.

It's ok but overall Paper Jam was a disappointment.
***** The combat system was an interesting go but unfortunately a rather lackluster attempt at "innovation" in the already innovative series. Without the actual motive of leveling up, the game left me without motivation to complete interesting maneuvers, but rather had me spamming various attacks for the sake of dealing damage.
The environments were the copy + paste game settings, i.e. grasslands, desert, ocean, in whatever order. It's not a sin to have these places, but if you just look back to The Thousand Year Door, you've got castles, trains, moon bases, etc. That was interesting; that was the "innovation" that made TTYD _great_ . Had Nintendo bothered to make interesting gameplay because it made sense rather than because they needed to make something new so their audience wouldn't compare it to its predecessors, I would have enjoyed this game a lot more. Had they made more dynamic environments, plot lines, characters and general aesthetics, I would have once again enjoyed the game a lot more.

Chugga, when i played this as a kid, i fricken screamed when i saw the koopalings. I love super mario world, but Super Mario Bros 3 is my favorite side scroller mario game, and one of my biggest childhood games, so seein them pop up here made me lose my mind. You are NOT the only one. I do wish they made so speech or dialogue for em, or at the very least, ludwig....but eh.

I don't know about you Chuggers, but since I grew up with the Super Mario Advance remakes I wasn't too surprised to see the Koopalings here. Considering what you said here, I can understand why people would find it special at the time.

Something you missed is that there are reasons to visit little Fungitown, a easteregg or two as well as some new stuff to buy as well, including the most broken piece of equipment in the whole game, a upgraded mush badge that has even more initial dmg and still the same effect as the original one.
I would totally watch that gunner guy sitcom!

In the 3ds version he has changed a bit. The controls stay mixed up buy when you fight him he mixes up your stats and when he attacks he spins around you and you have to hom him 3 times with your hammers. Quite allot gets changed for the 3ds version.
This is my second favorite LP you've done but none has made me as gitty as a school girl when I see a new episode get posted (this coming from a guy in his 20's)

having hidden beans in the final area made more sense in Bowser's inside story, as there, you don't need to head all the way back to town in order to buff up the bros' stats and you can just use the beans to buff the stats where you are.
