    I seriously think there’s another bypass for what he has shown in this video....Ever since I’ve had my Z, (an 08) the fuel door has always been a pain.....I’ve figured out a pattern to get it open, but yesterday, while test fitting my new rear bumper, I’ve discovered that underneath the right rear brake light edge, (which is hidden when brake light is mounted) but up under the edge someone drilled a hole right above the fuel door.... My first immediate thought is that it’s a way to open the fuel door in an emergency without having to disassemble the rear end like this, but gives access to the very switch he showed us. Thing is, I haven’t found anything on the web about this, and have been contemplating just what they were using to drop into the hole to pop the fuel door.....A hangar perhaps?.....I’ve had the car for close to five years now, never had the brake lights off till just yesterday, then discovered this hole.....Thoughts anyone?

    • @AnthonyJ350
      @AnthonyJ350  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But then wouldn't you have to pull off the brake light to access the hole?

      @@AnthonyJ350 I know....I'm just puzzled at what I found.....I mean I'm not knocking your vid in anyway, I watch all of em, I just wanted to mention this to see if anyone else had heard of this....In my downtime while messing with the car, I'll watch your vid again to see if there's something I can reach down through this hole to do what you did by reaching behind there. It's the only reason I can think of a previous owner would have done this....

    • @fullthrottleperformance
      @fullthrottleperformance 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The thing he pulled on to open the fuel door is the fuel door actuator. They are another common issue with 350z's and they normally sell for around $50 USD used. Right where he took apart you will need to do the same and replace that little black and white actuator. 78850 CD06A is the Nissan part number.
