    I went through my new entrant audit in July. It was way easier than I anticipated. If you keep up with what they require,there's nothing to it.

      Was it an in person audit? Did you have to bring all your BOLs and invoices with you?

      @@luleahmad1248 ... Those things are not part of a new entrant audit. It is essentially a review of your compliance record keeping. HOS, driver records, vehicle records etc. Any carrier that is in compliance should not have an issue.

    Time to abolish the FMCSA . These bureaucrats sitting in comfy offices have no idea about trucking .They are killing drivers by trying to control their sleep patterns.
    If the government is serious about truckers they should assure good rates , control insurance premiums and subsidize the small operators , let truck drivers work on trucks and do safeties.

      Only thru legal action complaining on the internet doesn't do any good.

    I am non CDL hauling basically hotshot. . Under 26k, i do interstate. Texas DPS sent me an email they be handing it.
    New entrant Audit
    Non CDL my understanding a drug program is not needed
    Also i use log books, as im an older vehicle ( pre 2000 exception) and had issues with ELDs working right woth the trucks older computer .
    Nervous as what to expect. I pay ny bills and child support , and just began making money .

    Do you automatically failed if company didn’t enrolled in the drug and test program?

    • @Trucksafe
      @Trucksafe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, if you have drivers who are subject to drug/alcohol testing (eg CDL drivers) but you failed to implement a drug/alcohol testing program, that is one of the triggers for an automatic failure of the new entrant audit.

      So if I have a non cdl hotshot company aka under 26k lbs I don’t need to be enrolled in a drug and alcohol testing program and I will pass the new entrant saftey audit? TIA

    • @Trucksafe
      @Trucksafe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As long as you aren’t hauling placardable hazmat and you keep your combinations under 26k lbs, you’re not subject to drug/alcohol testing rules. There are other things you need to pass a new entrant audit, though. Here’s a link to our article on the topic: www.trucksafe.com/post/how-to-pass-an-fmcsa-new-entrant-audit
