Ouananiche love it when flies come off the bottom and move up to the top especially with heavy action flies, this is most likely why both of your salmon were caught right when you were about to reset your cast to toss back upstream, this is why the down and across method of streamer fishing works so well for them. As for the spot, it’s very well known but I wouldn’t stress having the video up, it’s not going to attract the droves in the way that other spots do. One of my favorite things about that spot is that it will really only hold 2 guys fairly on each side so the chances of it getting blown up are very slim.
That’s some gorgeous looking water, and nice fish. Funny, I caught one of my only salmon on a Wolly bigger just like that under a float. I’m from Ontario and we have Great Lakes pacific salmon stocked, it was about 12-15 lbs, small for a pacific. But we used to have Atlantics, which are way cooler, we only have a few now…
@@BendItFishing one more question: That was a nice-sized Sucker you caught at the end. Do they put up a fight on a fly rod? I caught a few when I was younger on spinning rods.
This is a great video and it’s killing me where you’re fishing. Is there someway I might be able to meet up with you in person? I’m serious when I say this I like to learn where that spot is. And I’m willing to work for it. Wash your car take care of the kids, mow the lawn, some sort of physical labor that you really don’t like to do wash your dishes . Maybe even offer you 50🦪🦪s Whatever it takes. Please consider my offer. Thank you.
Nice salmon!! So fun
Nice sucker at the end there! They are a cool fish! Good video Josh!
They are cool people see them as junk fish but they fight decent when hooked and they provide a huge part of the river system

They can't resist the swing

It's a fishy fly for sure! The senko of the fly fishing world but it produces! We stock all our salmon by the tens of thousands
Great vid and nice salmon! Curious why you didn’t fight him off the reel so you can use the drag/palm the spool.
I usually let the fish decide if they want the reel or not. This one wasn't that hard to fight and I have a disc drag batternkill reel

Ya they fight a little bit then just become dead weight
What town/river is this?
Never mind, I recognize this spot I’ve actually been to it before but I understand based off of other comments you want it to be kept a secret
Awsome spot where is that if you don't mind.
Not my spot so I can't share it sorry
