Hi Mary, I just read all the comments and the very last ones were not very friendly! Do not pay any attention to them, they obviously missed the begining of the video where you said it was for first time bread bakers. Soooo many kind and good remarks from the majority of the viewers as to how they appreciate your very detailed explaination and what a sweet manner you have!!! I haven't been baking all that long but wish I would have found you when I was starting out, would have saved me a lot of grief!!! You just keep being you ....99 % of us love ya🥰

Update: The bread turned out absolutely perfect! My family loves it. I am not new to baking bread but could never find a recipe that was good for sandwich bread. This one did it. It was so much easier than my other recipes. Plus since I have arthritis in my hands this was a win win. I no longer have to bother my husband to knead the dough for me. This will save a ton of money too when I pack my son's lunch every day for school. Bread here in Quebec is roughly around $4 CAD a loaf. I loved your explanation of the 2 types of yeast and the water requirement for different types of flour. Along with all the other tips and nuggets I now understand the science a lot more. I can't thank you enough.

I am in heaven! I just made this whole wheat no knead bread and it came out GLORIOUS😊 Soooo delicious... 3 of us finished 1 loaf in just 15 minutes! It’s that good! I am so glad I followed Maria’s dosage for 2 loafs as 1 wouldn’t have been enough to have for later...Thank you so much Maria! I love you! You taught me a new family recipe that I will bake on a regular basis and won’t buy bread again! I used organic whole wheat flour and regular white all purpose flour, honey, and followed the recipe as shown. The only additional thing I did was I added sesame seeds on top just before putting the loafs in the oven.
I can’t wait to try the rest of your recipes! I love your presence and the way you smile and talk makes me happy:)

Thank you!! I made this yesterday and my family LOVED it! I am so tired of overpriced, soy filled bread available at the grocery store. This was so easy! I have been making rolls for years, but my family missed sandwich bread, so this was perfect. 2 of my kids had a sandwich for lunch today ...that never happens. LOL. Big thumbs up!!! Thank you for all your encouraging and uplifting videos. You have helped our health, our budget, my anxiety, and my attitude. You are a precious gift to us. May God bless you, and your family. :)

I love to make my own bread. I think it’s very cathartic cause you have to focus on what you’re doing. I’m just starting after years of baking bread to venture out with different flours. I’ll definately have to try this recipe. Right up my alley , no kneading!

Mary I really like how you explained about moving from commercial processed type bread towards whole grain and organic. A tablespoon of malt syrup is delightful in a whole grain. I found. It’s a lovely basic thing in traditional cooking to never waster anything, as you point out that every bit of flour should be brought in and not wasted.

Being in the UK I had to add another cup and 1/3 of flour ontop of the 4 (maybe because of altitude?? I always seem to need to add more flour when following American bread recipes) but it came out soooo good. I did 100% wholemeal it was soft, airy and perfect, better than the shop bought, thank you so much!

Oh figures, LOL. When I tried out your no knead sandwich, bread recipe (side note, 10/10 from everyone that tried it) I thought, OK, let me try it with whole wheat flour. I tried it with 1 cup it the whole wheat flour versus the 6 cups of all purpose flour to be able to see how that would work. It didn’t work out beautifully but then I came across this video that you had an entire lesson on whole wheat flour! I’m so grateful for how much I have learned from you!! I’ve become SO inspired!!

    • @anitaschwetz5052

That's funny because I kinda did the same thing , I heard her say if you use whole wheat flour it needs more liquid so I did increase that. But because I hadn't seen this video yet I did NOT leave the yeast in the same amount! I cut it in half because I was only going to "try" one loaf. Long story short, it turns out to taste great but didn't rise enough so makes for very short sandwiches! Lesson learned, pay attention and watch the correct video LOL

Hi Mary! Just wanted to let you know I made this recipe and it turned out awesome!😊 I still can't believe I made bread! But I should have listened to you and made 2 loaves. My 5 yr old son already ate half the loaf all by himself lol. Needless to say I will be making it all over again tomorrow. At least the recipe's very easy. Anyway, thanks so much for the recipe!❤

How I wish I had found you before my disastrous first breads. Now something that I find interesting is that you have a common ingredient in all your recipes savory or sweet and that makes them all special. Your smile.

Hi! Your recipe looks very good as your sandwich bread recipe. In that you used 6 cops all purpose flour and made 2 loaves. Here 4 cups and still two loaves. Wondering how is that. I always thought whole wheat flour makes denser bread so we need more flour. Will be very helpful if you help me understanding all this. You are wonderful baker. 🌺🌺
