I recently found this lighter at a thrift shop along with a ronson whirlwind and zippo slim. This one Turned out to be brand new. Filled her up, put in the flint and it works like a charm. What makes the scripto stand out of the crowd is its ability to hold back the fuel longer than anynother lighter out there.
These things always give trouble but are interesting. I wounder what were the last surviving legitimate petrol lighter producers, zippo.. Unfortunately still survives (soany great petrol lighters and the worst design survived some how.. Thanks px stores) .. Imco died in 2012.. But before that there is a big gap... Ronson died in maybe 1981? These scriptos were already jap made by the early 80s or late 70s? .. Some companies in europe survived making gas lighters but not petrol lighters and there is still a couple of japanese companies that were just the knockoff junk factories that made cheap lighters for importers - but now due to smoking culture there have survived as "premium" brands in japan.. But it seems to me that it was imco and zippo for almost 30 years that survived while no others did. Unless im wrong and there was some others in the 80s, 90s and 2000snds that kept kicking?
🌞 thanks for the video 🌞
