"The tube of meat" absolutely sounds like something Teal'c would have said when first introduced to a hot dog 😂. And I love it. And I'm 100% adding that to my lexicon.
The whole "I remarried after having you declared dead" thing would've made a lot more sense if there hadn't been that earlier episode when the team went to get Rya'c the first time. Teal'c and his wife parted on good terms there and she knew what he was doing (and was a different woman!), but before that all she would've known was he'd turned on Apophis and disappeared. That would've been the time to remarry. Makes for a weird bump in the overall story.
I feel like every line about being a better father could have accurately ended with Worf. You need to be there for your kids, Worf. They need there presence, Worf.
Doing a little bit of research, it seems that there are two definitions of the phrase Teal'c uses. Tek'ma'te which is a greeting of respect, and Tec'ma'te which means Master and also a respectful way to address such a person and which makes sense here as Teal'c is saying, 'Master Bra-tac'. This was most likely the intended use early on; however they clearly decided to drop it, possibly to lessen the chance of confusing the audience, and have Teal'c address him as Master Bra'tac. Which, if you think about it, doesn't make sense for an established language as they would most likely not use an overt English word as a formal designation in another alien language or society.
Maybe they need to bring in a modified rule of three with ST and B5 Limit 3 show specific references to a limit of 3 other series or movies for a total of 9. Call it the rule of the 9 with 3 each of the three shows. Could adjust the choice of three shows but include Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon Five, The Lost, Men in Black, Battlestar and other major shows.
Don't know what is worse Jeff's Hot Dog or Brent's bringing attention to every double meaning. Laughed from a comedy bit I haven't seen since the 90's Needed it too. YT been spamming me with political stuff they censored for years when I want some of it and after the election and I am ready for a break the backlog dam is more annoying than a Technomage that only shows up when they are both least wanted and after the most needed part has past. Thanks for a laugh.
For me, the use of Father and Mother is a subtle hint of another culture. One which lives in another time (our past) and has other (old not our modern single-mother) values.
There's one thing about this episode that makes me laugh a little. It's where Fraiser says; "It could kill the go'auld inside the boy." If it's that much of a risk just take it out of Rya'c, do the therapy/shoot him and then put it back inside of him.
I think Apophis came up with thr bio-weapon plan after the first rescue plan failed. He realized Teal’c came for the boy and quickly through the plan together.
Looking up the next episodes, it seems like the Stargate(-Stories) is about to accelerate (my opinion). Many incoming wormholes and most of them are hot.
I'm fairly sure you had to have an orthodox jewish man involved in the planning of this scene. The sort of combinations when a woman is not widowed, but everybody thinks she is located lead to exactly this sort of pattern within the prereform orthodox, jewish ethical system. This is the kind of thing that the reform two hundred years ago was saying it's clearly not correct, even if a literal interpretation of the toras says it is.
@@asherlevin1762 a spoiler is information about the story, that can't be infered just by thinking or that isn't obvious. What exactly is spoilered here? Any sane person can infer, that the big bad will be around for a while. And it is obvious, that Apophis IS the big bad in the series, as he is the main antagonist of Teal'C and has sworn to destroy/enslave earth, while all other Goa'Uld don't really care about earth.

Robert was my favourite part of this episode. Nothing like a grumpy older brother that's there for you when you need him.

Stargate SG-1 Episode 2-08 - "Jeff Gets Too Real With The Apocalypse Virus Scenario".....
🤣
2 Shakespearean actors, brothers fighting in the mud in a vineyard. I thought for a second this was a Star Trek TNG episode…

19:15 Best piece of acting from that kid When "She" turned away? 😂
She never consumated the marriage. She said she could not give Phrotak what he wanted.
Urk. The kid episodes of SG1 annoy some people.

Ok
I gotta admit.
When I tuned into my favorite weekly SG-1 reaction show, I did not expect to hear bros before hoes.
I think this guy ate some government cheese if you get what I'm sayin'...👀
😆idk just these two words together sound so funny.
Sorry Jeff😄
No, Jeff. No.
I'm just going to keep it at that.

Given more and more shows on the channel when are you going to rename the channel to "Sci-Fi show for the first time?".
Apophis will be around for a while still. Several seasons in fact.
Spoilers?
@@MattLathrum not really. Apophis is THE big bad of the series. Kinda obvious, that he will stick around for a while.
