My favorite is Renee. I'm only not a fan of Brooklyns tinsel, but all in all, the outfits are not half bad, and adorablility is a big factor for marketing.
Agreed! Lots of stuff to like here, and some things that didn’t hit the mark 🎯 I love Renee’s accessories and happy to learn more about this character.
I like your unique perspective on the overall design of both dolls and packaging. Agree with your overall assessment. The tinsel on Brooklyn is a big point of hesitation for me, though I do some rerooting, so maybe she’d be great to get on sale. I’d love to have Malibu, just to try the line out. Overall, I’d say she’s my fave. Possible future topics… I’d enjoy seeing your collection of M2M dolls that you’ve body-swapped. I’m in the process of upgrading a lot of my older dolls and it’s great seeing what other collectors do 😊
Thank you so much for this feedback and thoughtful comment! I agree with some adjustments Brooklyn would be great, but the tinsel is quite off-putting. I also appreciate the idea for rebodying made to moves.
Thanks a lot for your the extensive review. I like this new line a lot though I don't understand the tinsel. That is basically what I don't like about these. I haven't found them in Europe why I love to watch reviews and, maybe, lower expectations. 😉 Malibu is possibly my personal favourite. Love the style of your presentation - it feels like I am just there - instead of listening to a video. Maybe one day you should be doing a video about your pets.🙂
Yea I got all 4 of mine online and none came with defects! I really enjoy the line I hope there will be more. But I’m not confident given the initial reaction
I enjoy the doll series and I believe I saw rumors that Ken and Daisy were coming out in the next line. That could be fun to see. I wanted to like the show, especially if it was a cartoon, but the promotional videos I saw on TH-cam are not my cup of tea in the animation looks very cheap like it’s made with AI.
@@thedollbusiness ooooo I didn’t know Ken might be coming out in this line!!! I’m interested to see what a boy face in this style looks like. I hope it’s true! And yea I want to like the show and cuz of the clips I’ve seen I’ve been biding my time till I break and give an episode a shot, I liked the rainbow high series till the last season then I was like ehhh I’m done. So I’m interested but not confident in the series
Interesting, thanks for the comment! I see what you mean about Raindbow High (for the most part). I don’t collect RH, but I have some whom I purchased for the clothes. I like the Dream Besties much more than the Barbie Extras (who were pretty over the top most of the times in terms of garments and accessories). I don’t see the clothes as vulgar, but I guess you mean that a lot of skin is showing? I like that the clothes are mostly monochromatic and simple…and look a bit more like real clothes people may wear casually (with some modifications or for example without the heart piece). I also don’t see these faces as masculine at all-they are adorable to me, and the faces are one of the most appealing aspects of the line (despite that I’m not a “big head” doll collector).
No, the dream Bestie line is available in a couple different locations, such as Canada, Australia, UK, and Europe. I would look at stores like Kmart, W, Target, if you have them or places that stock dolls. hum yes better . I'm with you. they seem a bit cheap . the plastic is not good . i don"t like the big head look . they seem to have to much make up on and their clothes are a bit to sexy
Can you tell me what you mean by the plastic being not good? I was mostly surprised by the quality because it’s better than what I have seen from Barbie recently. The makeup is a lot…and in general I prefer a more natural look. Like I love the Teresa doll face, but would also like her without three colors of eyeshadow, stars & moons, and red lips. I like the clothes, but yes…some of this could be “club wear” style clothing (esp Teresa) if you were to see it on a real person. With some modifications, or paired with other clothes, I really like the clothing (except for Brooklyn) overall (when considered with other pairings)-just prefer it fit made to move Barbie as well.
I love these Barbie besties🥰

Love the intro !! And all the fabulous information
Thank you 🤍
I don't know if it's Malibu's crimped hair and the big eyes, but the vibe overall reminds me of a 90s Skipper.
I can see that now that you mentioned it!
Elles ressemblent aux poupées Barbie My Scéne de 2002/2011.

Wow! Thank you for this comment. It made my day.

Girlfriend loves the Malibu bestie and Teresa bestie
Great advice and video
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
these dolls are Very similar with monster high or my secen dolls
They do remind me of those, mixed heavily with elements do the Barbie Extra (and extra minis) line.
I didn't know Clark Kent collects dolls.

She's just not Barbie to me, more like Barbie Jr . . Not feeling this line at all
I can see this perspective…love the accessories and I like that I can lend them to more classic Barbies.
