“Wearing those , crazy /cool medallions .... “. This song blows my mind . It’s pretty perfect , and the way it comes back in from the middle eight to the chorus is some craftsmanship !
In this song you can clearly notice how Maurice's voice fit with the leads. How is the difference when Barry and Robin sing, and then when Mo's voice comes as a complement. Wow!! Perfect!
Yes! Maurice was the George Harrison of the group. Weaving his harmonies up high, in the middle, down low, wherever needed, filling out the sound to perfection.
Maurice is so understated.... Takes a while to appreciate just how important he is. He is the glue, band falls apart without him. His vocals blend in so well that you can actually have a hard time didn't making a distinction as to who is who.
It depends which voice you are talking about, there are three in that one clip, barry robin and maurice. Barry is doing to deepest tone in that part, Robin is doing slightly higher in tone and has a more noticable vibrato, and Maurice is doing the high note. But I'm guessing your thinking of robin's voice since it's the most noticeable thing besides barry's voice.
The falsetto in the harmonies is actually Maurice. Barry sang lead vocals as usual. He was just starting to experiment with his falsetto on this track. An amazing moment indeed
@@drdrew3 I'm speaking of the very end. That is Barry as he went into the vocal booth to do some "scatting" during what would be the fade out of the song. Through improv, Barry found his own falsetto through his voice/chest voice. It's been well documented that this was that blueprint and a lot of the songs that came afterwards were written around his new ability to achieve those new heights vocally.
One of the toughest pop songs to sing, ever. The sustained high notes plus constant syncopation are a bitch, yet they do it perfectly. Usually with isolated vocals you can hear flaws, points where they didn’t quite hit the note or phrase. Not with these three.
Well I would say most of the Bee Gees songs are hard to sing, the high notes in this song I wouldn't say are the hardest to sing, I would say the first couple of verses in this song are the hardest to sing. But there are tons of other songs where they sing a lot higher than this, such as Tragedy, Love you inside out, Too Much heaven, Reaching out, and a ton of other songs.
2:38 Oh my gosh the vocals!!
The power of sibling harmony!

Barry’s voice is power 😎

Thank you! I’ve been listening for hours trying to separate Maurice’s voice but it was in front of me all along!
I love so much this song .This powerful voice of Barry trembles my heart. One of the best of the bests. They are the music personified..❤️❤️❤️
Stupendously magnificent.Oh,boys you never fail.Love you,all,for ever👏👏❤️❤️❤️🇬🇧
I can’t hear this any without thinking of the Barry Gibb Talk show🤣 Good grief those boys could sing...R.I.P. Maurice, Robin, and Andy 🙏🙏🙏
The harmonies on the bridge are the finest I've ever heard. Bar none.❤
Man!! Robin Gibbs voice at 2:27! "Forever" Haunting! So friggen cool!
Yeah, well spotted 😀
Oh, is Mo, not Robin. 😅
@@yodwinbamaca2866 not so sure. I think it could be either 😊
@@yodwinbamaca2866 that is 100% Robin. His unique vocal tremble is apparent.

Unbelievable talent! They're so good, they don't even need the music to support them.
Every child who listens to Justin Bieber etc.. should be made to hear this!

The picture of Barry at the end is nice but it's Maurice whose voice is taking it to 11 there.
Name a group that harmonizes better than The Bee Gees. I’ll wait….
The Bea... THE BEEGEES!
