Good idea. Actually it is 81 - but i wonder what/when CS would hit upper limit on population/buildings/etc.? I am attempting a one-road (per tile) 25 tile - about 7 tiles in and at 212,000 population but the city is barely growing now. The one road concept makes your traffic flow much higher b/c no intersections. Oh, I don;'t use many mods, just Move-It, Tree brush, Auto demolish Abandoned Buildings. I don't use demand mods - nearly vanilla game play.
@@schzean The upper limit isn't dependent on the game itself, rather your CPU. If your CPU starts chugging, the game will start limiting growth so your CPU doesn't melt. Remember CS has to load every single citizen's information, what they are doing etc. It's a lot.

You should do a video seires where you have to fill out a block "entirely" before buying a new one and continuing on. Mainly for an extremely condensed city.

Kowloon walled city it's not theoretical, it's a place that actually existed in Hong Kong until the early 1990s. With 33,000 people crammed up in 2.6 hectares it reached a population density of 1.2 million people per square km making it the most densely inhabited settlement in human history.
Somehow cities skylines messed up in their population calculation. The tallest residential buildings in my city only houses 25 households each. smh. Realistically it should be closer to 200.
You should expand from that to tile number 2 and 3,4,5(etc). Until you reach all 81 tiles(thats if you want to). With the same idea you had on this city really dense and compact city on evry tile(also just my opinion you can chose for your self rather you still wanna do he same compact and very dense city or something different and new).😁

At the rate of 50,000 sims per tiles, you can squeeze 1.5 million sims into the 25 squares, now there's a challenge I'd like to see, anyone else like to see that?
I always wanted to try to build the land up to the highest then some how cut caves in to it to further build tall towers on top of each other. so basically it will be a city on top of a city and if it would work you could increase the population one city square.

I did this with no mods except demolish abandon buildings and got mine to about 65K. It was the map with the river running just in lower right corner of map. Probably 10-20% more surface area I would guess. Fun challenge.

I tried this after watching this I went on the game to try this. With a heavily modded game I ended with 80,000 people.
