Join Fy Nyth on social media - mewe.com/i/fynyth ! If you are new to my channel and Fy Nyth (Welsh for "My Nest") in general, welcome! I'm Ariel. Along with my husband Clay, our dogs, cats, bees, and some poultry, we live in a tiny house on wheels in the mountains of western Wyoming and are working on setting into our own new little homestead. I've been living this lifestyle since 2014 and my wonderful partner has joined me more recently. What will you find if you follow the channel and watch the videos?
Real life here. I try to show the good and the bad. The ups and the downs. What works, and what doesn't. The parts I love (most of it!), and the things that suck. Not just the showroom version of a tiny house, but everyday life in a tiny house. Not just the romantic idea of "homesteading" or off grid life, but the everyday details of this lifestyle. We split wood for heat, fill the water tank from a gravity fed spring, and attempt to grow as much of our own food as possible between the weather and wildlife here. I hope to help others learn from mistakes and make life just a little easier for anyone else interested in pursuing a similar lifestyle.
We live in a somewhat harsh and cold climate, but enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife that we are surrounded by on a daily basis. You'll also see videos of the nature and wildlife around my home. If you are interested in my photography or purchasing a photo, I'd love if you follow that over at mewe.com/join/... or ArielCelestePhotography.zenfolio.com!

Congratulations on your anniversary, Ariel! I'm a retired architect based in Toronto where it takes me a couple of hours drive time to find countryside which is mostly natural and unspoiled by man. I watch several Vlogs set in more natural or wilderness settings and appreciate yours the most, largely, because you always pack so much info, delight and intelligence into much more concise segments. I'm very much looking forward to your next phase of nest building. I selfishly hope that you will take us through your design process as I know that you are also blessed with an excellent eye. As you have developed your new property, I can say that there is absolutely nothing discordant about its current visuals which sometimes puts me off of other Vlogs. I'm especially interested to see what you and Clay do because, for the longest time, my main hobby has been designing compact and efficient housing for tight budgets. Necessity is the mother of invention, so I'm all eyes and ears for your next phase of development.
Blessings on you and your efforts to effect change in affordable housing!
Thank you!
In late 2018 I purchased 3 acres of Northern New Mexico land on the border of Colorado- with a pristine working well, electric/septic already established. A large fresh Creek runs 25ft from my back door(trout) 3 1,500 rain tanks all connected to filtered gutters. Solar is next with a substantial battery bank. The purchase of my land was only $21,000 and I only pay $84 annually for property tax. My home is 980sqft=Perfect 👌🏽
I’ve made your coffee cake at least 6 times since your video you posted. Thank you! My family thanks you.😊
I love your analogy about the robin in her nest that fits her perfectly. I love your wee house. And look forward to your next chapters yet to unfold!
As someone who also cooks a lot, I am really looking forward to seeing what your new kitchen might look like. I know you will put a lot of thought and planning into it.
The tiny house really made sense ultimately. It was just what you needed all these years. You could be stuck with a high mortgage payment on a traditional house right now. And now you have the acreage for a larger house and time to build it. My friend's step-dad did something similar. He bought the land and put a trailer on it. He was a boilermaker so worked a couple weeks around the clock then might be off for a month or more. During that downtime he built a house on the land. It worked out very well for the family.
Hummingbird nests are the strangest thing around. We usually have 3 or 4 in our yards each year and they are rarely bigger than your index finger in diameter and length. They tend to be made of spider silk and 'fluff' that depends on what is available. Around here the fluff is almond and peach blossoms.
I look forward to your building
ein nyth- - thank you always for your instructive videos
The best part of waiting to build your new house is that the price of lumber is down to what it was in 2019.
I think you are so financially astute. You really have a good attitude about debt also. I really admire the decisions you have made. Also you have so much knowledge about homesteading, it is very impressive. Ariel, you can be proud of everything you have done, because what you have accomplished is rare! The ship has sailed for me for ever considering your lifestyle, tho even when I was young, I wouldn't have thought to do half the things you have accomplished. I very much enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and your home. Congrats on your success and I look forward to seeing more from you! All the best to you!😀👏👏💪
I enjoyed this. It's nice to see someone else, another female, building something that you feel comfortable with and not feeling pressured to live in the expectations of others. Dare to be different. Be authentic to yourself. Such a nice feeling.
I can remember your first video. I have been here since the beginning and it has been great watching all your adventures to where you are today.
Congratulations! I love how your tiny house looks! Whites, blues and natural woods!
I'm thrilled for you getting to build your own house. It is so satisfying and terrifying and challenging, but it'll be another thing to add to your long list of self-sufficient skills. Looking forward to the build videos.
I've been watching for many many years and I will continue to watch. Happy Holidays! Seasons Greetings!
It was great to hear about how you chose the name Fy Nyth for *your* tiny house. Ein Nyth is 'our nest' in Welsh
I've been a loyal subscriber from day one. I seen your journey the whole way through that you have shared with us and I think every bit of it is amazing. I am super excited to see the build of your next small house with you and Clay. These are my favorite type of videos you chit-chatting inside your home I just love to look at all the small details. That blanket is gorgeous that really caught my eye whoever made it did a wonderful job. I thought you made it Ariel. Till next time, God bless.
Ein nyth…
I don't understand thinking about resale when you build/but a home, and we've had several. That is like preparing your divorce decree before you get married. I am so happy for you and Clay & how far you have come since you moved to your property.
Yes, TH-cam does seem to sometimes unsubscribe… I just subscribe and hit the bell again whenever I watch a vid for a channel I’m subscribed to, just in case.
I love your outlook on life. As I am getting older (63) with all the aches and pains that come with it! I understand I can't do everything I want but I can do a lot of it even though at a slower pace. I need to remember this and I appreciate your words, Ariel!
I hope to have a little nest very similar to yours sometime soon! Love your videos and updates ❤
Sounds like there's a lot to look forward to!
Happy anniversary! I think a big key in life is to appreciate wherever God has put you, and make the best of it. We don’t always get to live our dreams, no matter how much we want to, and being grateful in whatever circumstance we find ourselves makes life so much more enjoyable! I’m looking forward to seeing what you and Clay will be up to in the future. But now you need to find the Welsh word for “our”. 😊
In Danish : Vores Rede. Greetings from Denmark to you both
Your story really inspires me. I found your channel several years ago and you stood out as being real and authentic in a sea of women who were making 'aesthetic' off grid videos mostly of them posing in specially selected outfits. I'm now in a similar position to where you were with a big rent increase. I want to work out how to survive and thrive and not be at the mercy of greedy landlords in an increasingly frightening housing market here in England. I don't think we can legally park tiny houses anywhere here except in camping grounds where there is a rental cost so it probably won't be my path but I have faith another path will emerge where I can be free of increasing fear, poverty and housing insecurity. Thanks for sharing your journey and all your skills and knowledge, this is still one of my favourite channels by far.
Your combination of good video combined with your honest personality makes for good watching. I hope you never give up on this approach to sharing your life with others. Thanks....
I remember quite well the first anniversary videos and it's been a privilege to share in these glimpses into what else is possible. Congratulations on your journey so far and all the best going forward!
It’s refreshing to hear the perspective of someone who’s lived long term in a tiny home. Most videos are of people who have only lived a tiny home life for a few months.
Love love love your tiny house and big journey.
I have been following you almost as long as you first purchased Fy Nyth. I'm happy for you that you have found fulfillment. Lots of love.
Happy Holidays Ariel & Clay & your puppies & fine feathered friends 💞
Pray, you have many more anniversaries their and your next adventures 💕
Ariel Happy Anniversary.
I love your little home…..But building a small house sounds very exciting!! Happy Anniversary to you!!! Have a great day and thanks for all the great video’s.
I’d there a video on how you met your husband and when/where you got married? So happy for you!! I’ve watched you for years and so enjoy!!
Hi Ariel, this is so amazing that you are now entering into year nine. I'm delighted to see that the tiny house has held up so well. I've had to creat a new account so I've subscribed to your channel again 🙂
Sounds awesome for you! A great idea for for Fy Nyth as a rental.
Thank you for sharing Ariel, great to hear your thoughts on tiny living.
I'm currently building my own tiny house and have learnt so much from your experiences 👍✨
Congrats on 8 years. I've been with you, for the most part, for the entire time. Everything you do is of interest to me, even though I am not a cold weather person. ( I did live in northern Wisconsin for over thirty years) I like that you love it. I think it's great that you have Clay to share your time with . He seems like an awesome person. I would still very much love to meet you both. I am very satisfied, however, just to have the pleasure of watching your videos. Your philosophy on life is very much the same as mine. Thank you, and keep up the inspiring work. Your friend Rick and Zeb.
You"ve mentioned a lot of interesting things in this vlog. A good one for me was when you mentioned those people that have regrets over what they didn"t attempt in their time on Earth. Fortunately for myself I"ve been blessed with a life full of change and sometimes seeming reckless adventures. But on a quiet afternoon if I sit and think about my past (I"m in my late 70"s now) I"m definitely glad that it turned out the way it did. Thanks for your words of encouragement to others before it"s too late for them !! Blessings for a wonderful future !! You are a sweet and intelligent girl !!! Love following along on your journey !!
Congrats on your Moving in Anniversary!
You are a very wise woman and I love being along for your journey❤ Keep up your informative and instructional videos, I have learned so much from you👏👏 Stay safe (and warm), be well and see ya next time👋👋👋👋
Love your channel. I have so enjoyed watching you grow and learn. Happy Anniversary
Celebrating your perfect nest and the one to come! All the best...👍😎🇨🇦
Thanks for the update. I think I have been following you since year 4. So many things have happened and changed.
Hope to see you building when the time is right for ya'll.
I have enjoyed every one of your videos on your journey and I look forward to many more 😊
I've enjoyed your 'tiny house' journey/adventure and will enjoy your 'small house journey/adventure. ('your' = Ariel and Clay) 😍
Your house looks great too. And everything on your place looks great.
I *think* the concern people have for 'what if your tiny home doesn't work for you in the future' is partly because ageing or getting sick or having an injury makes it a lot harder to change your living arrangements. It's also something that can happen really suddenly. That said, you can never future proof completely even in a traditional home anyway. I think a lot of people just assume a traditional home will work out because it's the norm and the sad truth is a lot of elderly / disabled people find themselves having to move. I am glad Fy Nyth has served you so well - a real credit to your design process!
Happy anniversary to Fy Nyth! I’ve enjoyed following your channel over the years!
Congrats on your 8th year anniversary!! I can hardly wait to see what you and Clay will create. I have found that most young people don't listen well enough to learn how survive without grocers and us , who will continue trying to teach....you included. My kids will watch your videos. Fingers crossed they are listening.
Been watching you for years! Love your adventure and sharing w us. So happy for you❤️🤗
Happy anniversary! Looking forward to seeing your house build! I love your videos, they are so diverse and love, love, love to see the animals being raised and the kitties and Burly interacting with them. I think I will stick around for more!!!!
Thank you for sharing and happiest of anniversaries! Looking forward to seeing your progress in the coming year. Best Wishes! ❤

Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed every video. Great job ! ! 😊
Nice video, you are smart to do what you are doing. It works for you and that is all that matters.
Thank you for these pondering. I can’t believe how long I’ve been watching you videos. I have always enjoyed you’re can do attitude. The ability to see a clear path without many rabbit trails. Tiny living fascinates me. The efficient use of space and the art of necessity. But that’s not why I enjoy you channel so much. You seem to have the gift of crafting a life that fits you and what you are passionate about. This is inspiring and has helped me to focus on that process for me and my family. Also, watching snowy videos during hot Texas summers is refreshing😊.
Congrats Ariel on your anniversary in Fy Nyth🎉 I really like your tiny house and she is so cozy! I’m really looking forward to watching you and Clay plan and build your next home!❤
Good investing. .
Congratulations on your advancement.
Thanks for sharing.
I just love all your content showing your progress. Thank you!
God's blessings on your and Clay's 2023. I'm excited for you regarding your new small house build!
You have been very blessed by the values taught to you from your background. We have several friends who came out of the Amish; we respect their family and work ethic values.
I cannot wait to see your small home, how you build it and decorate it! So exciting!!
Hi Ariel! I have been around since just the blog before TH-cam and will continue to watch your videos. I don't post much but I love to see the goings on around your homestead and the nature of the area etc. Love watching your gardening and hen and duck videos too, as well as Burley and your cats and Clay's dog. Also love your cooking and foraging videos. Looking forward to watching the build of your small house! Thanks for sharing both your and Clay's knowledge and skills. Always nice to pay it forward!
Everything fits like a puzzle in a Tiny House!
Happy anniversary!! Enjoy the mix of videos you do!
It has been a nice trip through time with you_
Congratulations. I have so enjoyed you sharing your journey in Fy Nyth. Hoping you do use it as a rental one day as I would love to spend a few days in your area on your beautiful homestead:)
I would love to live in a tiny house and for the most part, it would work for me but as a creative person I virtually need a whole tiny house for my indoor creative pursuits! It's possible to do it with two tiny houses I think.
Wow, its hard to believe 8 years have come and gone. Congrats Kid. ss&gb
Happy anniversary Fy Nyth, what a joy it has been for many years now to learn from your experiences and savor the beauty you continuously share with us. I'm so happy that you and Clay are moving along with your projects and I look forward to see the birth of the small house and my heart will always be filled by the love for your tiny house and its coziness. Gratitude for everything, beautiful soul! 🙏💙
Wow....a one take video. Pretty good too. Bye the way,..most of us probably follow you because of your personality, not the tiny house stuff. So, if you're not planning on changing your personality.... we'll still be following you.....even in a non-wheeled home.
We have a rayburn. They make 3 sizes. It is a traditional cast iron range. The smallest runs one radiator. Ours runs 8. We have never run ours except on its sleep setting of 1 radiator. It allows us to heat our large water tank, cook, dry our clothes with the same amount of wood as as the log burner in your shop. I highly recommend this type over a straight log burner.
Thank you Ariel!!
I look forward to coming and staying at Fy Nyth if you turn it into a vacation rental 🙂
Congratulations
Oh wow, you must have read my mind as I was thinking about how many years you've been living in your tiny home and what a great analogy to use a Robin's nest. It's been a very wise investment on your part. I've really enjoyed following you and watching you grow over the years. I love living in a small space like my Travel trailer when I'm able. My bricks and sticks home is relatively small and easy to look after. However due to unforeseen circumstances my daughter and her 2 children are sharing my home untill she can afford something of her own. I'll continue watching you, Clay and Burley for as many years as you do videos. Congratulations to you all. PS it's lovely to see you still using the crochet throw. I made one for my daughter in Christmas colours. 💕
Thank you so much! This explains me to a T. You described my situation perfectly 🥰 I have discussed this with many people. I have a 10x18 tiny, not as well built as yours, but still working to get it sealed up after 2 years. It has given me the opportunity to live my life in line with my philosophy! You are such an encouraging life force, I really appreciate that! I started kinda late, I'm 69 now, but love it. I am looking for my own property, saving for that! I love your analogy of the nest! Please keep doing what you do.
Happy Anniversary Ariel, wishing you best wishes with all your future plans, blessings to you All ♥️
Thank you Ariel, Happy Anniversary.
Happy Anniversary! Can't wait to follow along for whatever is next! Best wishes!
Thank you for sharing, Ariel! Your honesty, integrity and enthusiasm are appreciated always. Looking forward to 2023 content creativity!
I love watching your playlist Wonderful Wyoming Wildlife. I found Ariel's channel by searching for wildlife.
Thank you for all the vlogs. I love listening and watching. Also glad that you and Clay are happy and compliment one another so well.
Sounds like a lot of fun and exciting things happening in your future. Look forward to following along and enjoying your adventures!
I love your videos….I am looking forward to watch you develop your new homestead and garden….love the animals and the wildlife ❤️
Ariel, sounds like a plan!
Congratulations on the beginning of your 9th year in Fy Nyth! Your personal journey, vision, and determination is awe inspiring for anyone who knows what they want, and gets after it! It will most likely take some twists and turns, as life does, but keeping one’s eye on the prize is the most satisfying thing one can do. You motivate me daily. 👍❤️🐾⛄️🍁🍂
So happy anniversary! Have followed for a long time. Truly have enjoyed your videos, and your enthusiasm on sharing gardening, hiking, cooking, and your different adventures with your animals! Bless you Ariel and Clay with your new adventures and looking forward to your house build!
Congratulations!! Looking forward to your next nest build!!
Thanks for the update.
thanks for sharing your thoughts. Happy Anniversary.
BTW I just learned Hummingbirds build nests from moss and lichen...maybe that will help you find one!
Ein Nyth, welsh for our nest.
Happy Anniversary!
The Danish word for nest is "rede".
Our nest is "vores rede".
