    i bought this thing like 6 months ago, really happy with my purchase. Also, learned something new from your video! Didn't know I could adjust the break power!

    The design of this car looks like the car in the future. So nice. I love it.

    Thanks for sharing this. I will recommend it to my friends who are craving for an RC mini 4wd. it is a good alternative to the conversion method I used on my childhood Avante car.

    One of the best reviews so far for this car! There are so few videos about this at this moment. Yeah, i was going to ask about the one way, the same question i asked about your emax fpv car. Time to put in one those fast motors you showed in your other videos and do a speed test!
    Since this chassis is so similar to the AR chassis and suspension mods have been done to it, could you add suspension to this car? May be you can even add a rear diff using one from a mr03.

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      A new motor even Torque Tuned should make it go like a rocket.
      I think yes, suspension mod would work. But the front is on knuckles so I think with a bit of modification you can make it work like old Mini-Z, the MR-01, MR-02 type. Mini-Z rear diff can also be applied to this if you cut the chassis and install a motor mount so it'd end up being Mini-Z MR-01 instead.

    Omg I NEED THIS. I have some 90s mini4wd cars that i always wanted to make RC... with the parts of one of these I bet I could do the conversion!

    Hi Beaver - I’m new to the mini rc world and must tell you that your videos are fantastic! I come from the 1/32 slot car world and got excited when I saw detailed 1/32 Fly Slot bodies mounted on Dnano chassis being raced on a beautiful road-race track in Japan. Then I learned that Dnano is long gone, expensive and 1/32 scale r/c is very rare! :^(
    Do you thing this Xotik 1/32 chassis could be modified to accept beautiful 1/32 slot car bodies and wheels? Something like Fly Porsche 917, Scalextric Mustang Boss 302 or Ford Cortina bodies?
    Thanks again for your wonderful videos of how to have r/c fun on a budget - nice job!

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately I'm not familiar with Scalextrix. However the Xotik (and Tamiya Mini 4WD in general) has weird proportions. Giving you some dimensions should be better for you to compare with the body you wish to use. This car has 80mm wheelbase, 68mm front width and 74mm rear width. The wheel + tyre diameter is 26.5mm although you can trim it down.

    • @bryandickerson5365
      @bryandickerson5365 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BeaversHobbyI will compare those dimensions to my slot car bodies. I’ll probably need to lengthen the wheelbase and narrow the width a little. If I modify slot-car wheels (smaller diameter) it will probably change the gearing to be slower/more power which might be good for twisty/ hillclimb type of track I’m imagining. Watching your budget modification videos has given me confidence! Thanks so much!

    • @BeaversHobby
      @BeaversHobby  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bryandickerson5365 You can extend the wheelbase by cut and shut the chassis. As for the width, you can change the wheels but really 68mm is what you can do. I think you should look at Mini-Z RWD. The width starts at 65mm and the wheelbase starts at 86mm. You can easily extend the chassis to whatever you like. It's just a bar connecting between the main chassis and gearbox.

    • @bryandickerson5365
      @bryandickerson5365 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BeaversHobby Thanks, but I was looking for something less expensive so me and other slot-car drivers can afford to experiment. Xotik - $80, Mini Z - $190 and I already have lots of very cool 1/32 bodies.

      @@bryandickerson5365 Take a look at Mini-Q Q2. It's essentially Mini-Z RWD for $70.
      It shares the rear with Mini-Z RWD. Here's the review I made. th-cam.com/video/i9iXnSLetkg/w-d-xo.html
