the stuff in the "network rail" category is actually ran by colas rail and the Royal mail stuff is ran by DB cago
I separated out the Network Rail and Royal Mail stuff for clarity as they do have the Network Rail and Royal Mail branding on the trains.

That's normal, some cement tanks look like that due to the way they hold the cement.

Certainly one of the longest, although I believe the longest is the Network Rail track renewal train.
What would that train be carrying?

Thank you :) Most freight trains travel at 60-75mph (100-120km/h) but the mail trains operate at up to 100mph (160Km/h).
Quicker resource than other modes of transport!😊

What are the purpose of the trailers at 3.57 what would they carry?
These are designed to carry pretty much any kind of bulk goods. The one in the video was carrying bottled water to/from Coventry and London, but other trains can carry paper or auto parts.

75mph /120kph is the maximum but the red post trains can reach 100mph/160kph

The U.K likes unit freights
How does a driver know that he/she can run at these top speeds? Before setting off from the yard, by direct cab communication, something signals tell him/her?
They usually have a train ID code (e.g. 4M65), and the first number of the code normally tells them how fast they can go (3 = 90mph, 4 = 75mph, 6 = 60mph, 7 = 45mph, 8 = 30mph).
Thanks for that. At what type invitation does the driver get a Line Clear Ahead to accelerate to his maximum?
@@josephinebennington7247 it will usually be determined by the colour signals (green for full speed and amber for reduced speed) and the speed limit on each section of track as shown by signs.

These are designed so that wagons can load and unload under their own pressure. However, they're being phased out in the UK in favour of more modern, standard designs.

They do know standardards can trade up in quality not just.. muh simple repeated. design. right? how does worse but more of them =better?
Great video but unfortunately too many polluting Diesels in the UK.
True, more freight needs to be moved by electric trains but unfortunately, the Government scrapped the 'Electric Spine' project, meaning that it will still be mainly 66s and 70s for now!
@@ACETrainsUK but isn't the Midland Mainline Electrification to Corby part of the Electric Spine.
@@trainsimgamer0342 Nope, that's part of the Midland Mainline electrification project. The electric spine was supposed to go from Southampton to Nuneaton via Reading, Banbury and Coventry with options to electrify the East-West rail link when open but that's all been scrapped by the government now.

That's Hanborough station on the Cotswold Line between Oxford and Worcester
