    Eddie was so dope he had clones of himself cheering in the crowd. It's great to see a rider at the top of his game, right then and there, nobody was beating Eddie at the Pipeline.Great footage!

    Eddie is responsible for the first time I got laid. Long story. He was my hero back in the day and I worked hard to master a lot of his tricks. Chics loved it. Thank God for Jr. Highschool. Thanks Eddie for the memories!

    The first run is the exact same footage GT used in the 1987 GT Demo Tape. Great watching it with the original sound.

    You know, I loved Skyway and so did a lot of people. We used to have a bunch of kids who rode TA frames and did flatland on them in town. Little weird but it happened. We all wanted StreetBeat frames though for the longest time until the Haro Masters and Sport Team models in 88 came out. After that everyone had them for years until Standard and other companies came on the scene.

    I had one of the first Bully's - weird green and black with the florescent plastic bash guard cover. Strange geometry. Snapped it in month, welded it and it was fine frame wise but got rid of it though after permanently bending the stem inside the forks requiring me to cut them off to get them out. Made in china!

    You sure those are'nt 22s? I heard Eddie rode a lot of hybrid bikes. 22s theoretically would generate more momentum and still be small enough to control.

      There not 22's there just 3/8 20" skinny race wheels, I built this same bike for my self when I was a teen.

    dude if you've been riding since 84 and you broke your frame or bent it on a GT or HARO. then stop leaven your bike on the street. i've had my bike for years and pound the crap out of it and my kid is doin the same. so, quiet run'n over it.

    no no no, that would be Kevin Jones. Let's be realistic here.

    was that comment directed at me?
    If so, take it back, I have been riding since 84. I just bought (because I wanted one) a near mint haro team master from 1988, best freestyle bike ever made. I have wrecked more GT product than you have, and got tired of wasting my money on bent everything (frames, forks, bars, seat posts, you name it, if it had a GT stamped into it, I have broken it or mangled it). That's why I say GT sucked/sucks. Yeah, I have broken a few haro frames. But GT prod. just melted

  • @battlestarvfx
    @battlestarvfx 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    The stuff was crap. the only thing GT ever made that was half decent was the bock stem. That's it. Haros would crack sure, but I never ripped one in half and I beat the hell out of those bikes riding flat, ramp, street and dirt.
