Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the video… fortunately, I have since learned much more about that album and the genre and I found one for $3 at a yard sale, in very good condition 👍🏼😀

Oh wow. I would have picked up the Dave Brubeck Trio and that Getz Gilberto album is an absolute jazz bossa nova class. Some wonderful Ray Charles albums. Amazing pick -ups. Thanks for taking us along.
Hey thanks for riding along with us! Yes, I agree on the picks ... I have listened and learned to appreciate both Brubeck and Gilberto ... amazing musicians and composers, thanks for the tips! Also love Ray Charles, I have all of his LPs.
Mountain Man Picker: thanks for posting. At 8:15: WFIL was a BIG AM radio station in the 60's and 70's in the Philly region. Before I started listening to FM rock stations. Also the Donovan album you picked "Barabajagal"(pronounced Barra-Ba-Jag-Ull) has Jeff Beck on guitar on the title track. Good song. Cheers!🥨
That first box looked good... For $3 each I'd pick up those doo wop bands in a heartbeat (I'm in England we don't see those so often, rock and roll era obscure stuff, black vocal groups, lesser known rockabilly artists etc , they command good prices with a younger crowd, and those will be long out of print I'd imagine). I'd definitely take early r&b, and jazz records, even reissues, over common rock records all day. I'd pick up Paul Revere and The Raiders over rough Bob Dylan too, but you know your customers, so fair enough.. I have a store, sometimes I have to auction batches of Dylan albums, they're so everywhere. I find classic rock era harder to move. Eighties and nineties are hottest right now...Enjoyed your vid tho, keep on truckin!

The Who "Who's Next" original issue on Polydor. That one has value to it even in fair condition. Not to mention how great the music is. I have almost every album you picked out and some you didn't. The difference between my collection and most every collection I see, is that my Albums are in mint condition. Fun pick though. Albums galore...even in the Mountains!

I have two copies of that album already and they are in great condition but that German release, even in G+ condition, was worth bringing home. That's cool that you have a lot of the same LPs as me and in mint condition. Very cool! Keep on collecting and pickin'!
@@mountainmanpicker Wow..I didn't know it was a German release. Yes...that would have been worth grabbing up. I have very few German release albums. Lot of good stuff there for $3 each. As others have said, Earth Island We Must Survive, great one. That JJ Cale and Will the Circle be Unbroken, are really good records. The Getz album and some other jazz, Who's Next and some other would of been good pick ups.

Wow what a nice collection you picked out especially those two Yes albums and that Lou Rawls and Paul McCartney albums surprised they didn't have any led zeppelin that's my favorite band!!!
That, The Beatles, and The Stones all disappeared shortly after 9. They were conspicuously missing from the collection, and is probably what the first people grabbed. The obvious stuff disappears immediately. I've run into collections like that, where I'm saying to myself "if this, and this, and this are here, that surely means this must be somewhere in here." And it probably was, but I got there too late. Sometimes you get lucky, though - there were still lots of solid choices left, in this case.
You got some good ones. I noticed a Cowsills LP's in there that might have been good choice for 3 bucks. Also,a little run of DC5 that might have also been good. But then, I like 60's music.
The best album is Laura Nyro's New York Tendaberry (1969), tbe artistic pinnacle of modern songwriting. Check out your Freewheelin Bob Dylan album vinyl. Look at the dead wax (the space between the last song and the label) and see if the numbers end in 1 with a letter afterwards. If so, you could have an original copy worth thousands of dollars. Also look at the third song. If it is the widest band (on side one) then you have an original. On the common pressing, the widest band on side one is the last song. I’d like to know what you have?

But, everything I brought home was VG+ or better vinyl. Missed some good ones though!
Yes, I am discovering that I left some gems behind. If I could do it again, I would have made an offer on the entire box, lots of sealed and mint records in that box. Thanks for the tip!

For this price, offer something for the whole lot and check them home. That's what I used to do and made a lot of money out of them. I don't like jazz, but as someone pointed out, they can worth it. And remember that it's not because a record is the first edition that it's better or worth more. Many first editions are hot garbage.
Great video. I'm curious, you seem to know vinyl very well, why don't you assign grades to the sleeves & records in your eBay listings? That's pretty standard for selling vinyl.

Wow, didn’t know Duane played 🎸 guitar on that LP! Thanks for the heads up on that! I will be on the lookout in the future, thanks for checking out the video.
Earth Island, you should have picked that one
Thanks! I will BOLO for that one and appreciate the comments and the support for the channel 🙂
@@mountainmanpicker 😉👍
Vanilla fudge great band....
Yes they were! Thanks for watching and for the helpful tip.
You missed Simon and Garfunkel 😢
I have so many of those but still grab S&G from time to time. I should have grabbed a lot more from that sale. Thanks for the tip and the support 👍🏼😃
10:53 EC was here is eric clapton.
I have that record, it's a good one! Thanks again for watching!
Flipping past NEW YORK TENDABERRY … My god! 😮
Thanks for watching and for the BOLO tip!
That Who's Next was an import
Thanks for catching that, I believe it was a German import, should have grabbed it!
I see you skipping quite some amazing records here (Tony Scott music for zen meditation, Vanilla fudge, Gil Scott Heron). Too bad you didn’t give these a chance!
Thanks! I appreciate your tips! I already have some of the Vanilla Fudge LPs but will definitely be on the lookout for Tony Scott and Heron for sure. Thank you for watching!
I had to watch again and yep, was a GSH LP that you passed up. Those are hard to find in the wild.
Ouch! Thanks for letting me know, I missed a bunch on this pick! Thanks for watching and for the helpful comment.@@jeffreysturges8641
Saw that Music for Zen Meditation too. I bought it in the 70s. It's a great recording and music! Pained me to see it left behind. Some of that jazz too, as mentioned ;)
You got lucky though! Thanks.
Thanks for watching and for the helpful comments! Appreciate the support 🙂@@shepmathe
Rock 70's Forever.
Absolutely! Thanks for tuning in!
Passed right by Getz Gilberto.
Good catch! Thanks for watching!
What's wrong with Dave Brubeck?😅
I have lots of Brubeck, great stuff 👍🏼
IT KILLS ME TO SEE WHAT THIS GUY PASSED OVER. ALL THOSE DOOWOPS, MIRACLES ,SURFARIS ETC. MOST OF WHAT HE PULLED IS OF LITTLE VALUE WHERE I COME FROM. PETTY, CARS, ROD, ARS FOR EXAMPLE.
Thanks for checking out the video.
Was anyone else yelling you missed one? lol
Lol!... No it was pretty slow that day, I'm definitely going back this week to sort through what is still left. Thanks!
This was hard to watch, i was screaming at my phone "grab that" "oh nooooo"
Thanks for watching!
Both the Brubeck were tough but when he didn’t even stop on the Getz/Gilberto I couldn’t take it
Bob Dylan forever
Love Bob Dylan! Thanks for watching.
Why didn't you grab the George Carlin albums ?? He's the most famous comedian of all time and his stuff gets better as the time goes by !
Thanks for the question, I actually have several George Carlin, Richard Pryor, Steve Martin, etc.. so I passed on this pick, but recently picked up more comedy albums at an estate sale. I agree with you! Thanks for watching.
DAMAGED GOODS : no plastic sleeves = ringwear guaranteed !
Thanks for watching! Yep, I cover all of my vinyl LPs with plastic sleeves and protective inner sleeves as soon as they come home with me.
Where CCR, Led Zeppelin et al?
Thanks for watching! I love CCR and Zeppelin!
Fragile... Everyday.
Love that album, there is a new box set out on that now. Thanks for watching!
that gospel records could been worth 1K on its own
Thanks for the tip, appreciate you watching the video. More coming soon.
around what time do you mean?
Glad you didn't grab Bob Welch. No value. Some of those although very common, have decent resale value.
Thanks for watching and for the tips!
road apples
Thanks for watching!
Don't skip past George Carlin dude!
I've got all of Carlin's LPs in my personal collection including Steve Martin, Robin Williams, National Lampoon, Cheech & Chong, etc.. Thanks for the comments my friend.
Left the Get/Gilberto but grabbed the shitty Johnny cash lol and left the John prine!!
Thanks for watching!
Who leaves John Prine???
Comedy video. I imagine it’s the result of being shamefully ignorant about music outside of what can be resold.
Lol.. not shamefully ignorant, I already own many of the LPs shown in the video. Thanks for watching!
so true dude has no clue
Typical albums you find a lot but ok for 3 dollars😅
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comments.
