She seems to be somewhat of an enigma. I don't think she is purchasing all these things. I think overconsumption can definitely happen with preloved items. She seems to be playing a character and it is quite entertaining. She is a stunner.

Yeah totally, I think she's a character that's putting on a show for her viewers and ultimately wanting people to consume her preloved goods! Thanks for watching x

She goes to her own store, and she is very smart on marketing . She is saying I want to of these or no.I buy all. This is physiology marketing. It means everyone is coming to her store and buying handbags. But she is a hardworking business woman.

It is her persona, fictional. However, she makes over 2 million a month just on tiktok along, and there is IG and TH-cam so she could have made those luxurious purchase for real if she wanted. That store she pretends to shop at belongs to her too.

It’s her way of smart marketing. Attention, visibility, and public exposure are valuable in the new social world. Once you get their interest in you, you get to utilise this prospect base to market and to be successful in whatever business you have.

It’s actually very smart marketing. It’s glamorizing shopping and the items she’s selling is very luxurious so she’s a great spokeswoman for it. She is just telling the girlies to SPEND!

I just struggle so much to understand this. I have no idea what's going on and I hate overconsumption, I don't understand pandering to luxury brands just bc of their name.... But I can't stop watching her, she's so charming...

Honestly yeah I get it! It’s confusing but I think she mostly plays it up for the camera and her audience

I haven’t heard of her before but it sounds like this is a marketing ploy. Consumers are much more savvier these days and seem to prefer a more discreet aesthetic so I’m surprised she gets that much attention!

"Is there a way to sustainably approach shopping while simultaneously promoting overconsumption?" in my opinion, no. and you can overconsume secondhand goods. is it not hoarding? and if you're re-selling it at a higher price, you're making it even harder for lower income people to access those items so they will resort to purchasing new, cheaper off brand items instead? idk this is all just my thought process as I am watching your video and thinking about these concepts. Idk maybe I am also viewing this through a poor person lense bc I have been poor most of my life, and I feel like resellers have kinda ruined how nice thrift or consignment shopping used to be. Also - She IS promoting an unsustainable lifestyle (owning several of the same thing, buying things bc theyre cute and branded, getting a high off of the shopping experience itself without actually using the items)
so it kinda negates any "sustainable" practices she claims to abide by?? this is why i am so confused by her. its a lot to break down lol

Thank you for your comments! I really appreciate you taking the time to think out loud with me on this video! I agree I think luxury resellers have ruined an aspect of thrifting or consignment as now it seems they’re everywhere! And I also have issues with wholly trusting their authenticity. And yeah her paradox in sustainability is really interesting / confusing as you can overconsume really any good and what’s sustainablity in an cycle of overconsumption
