the bigger question I have is how in the blazes did a regular trooper survive? There's a reason pilots have those suits on. TIEs have no life support system. Regular armour wont cut it. He'd suffocate before even crashing down on the planet
Or how the Stormie managed to fit inside the Tie together with that huge droid. An Imperial Tie Fighter only had space for a single person. First Order Ties had space for two.
Yeah. They did explain in another book, Red Harvest it was actually created by an Sith in an failed attempt at immortality. An entire Sith Academy ended up being overrun. That was alot of imperial scouts, and you know that one that shot himself, what if the other trooper had just called out? Would that scout then realize that maybe there was a glimmer of hope and help fight the deadites? Also, undead, red glowing eyed ewoks are fucking terrifying! XD
If I remember the Death Troopers novel right, even if the other trooper survives, both will still end up the same fate: either being eaten or be turned into zombies sooner or later because other than the standard method of transmission via bodily fluids through bites or scratches, the virus is also airborne. The fact that it is also self-aware (because the virus was created using a highly Force-sensitive orchid) means that it will also use the infected zombies to find and kill those that are naturally immune to it.

Movies and TV portrayals aside, Stormtroopers were actually an elite fighting force though their capabilities were due to zealousness and brainwashing vs team tactics (they were encouraged to abandon allies and keep moving forward). Their armor was weaker than Clone Trooper Phase 2 armor and couldn't handle direct hits (blunt force trauma could also cause it to shatter), but their helmets were more advanced to some degree. They could survive in a limited vaccum of space, their suits were almost always comfortable due to the material for the body glove, and their belts had a grappling hook w/cable and some supplies (varied to things like thermal detonators, rations, ammo). As for the game: Given their training it may be safe to assume that the conventional trooper could pilot a Tie Fighter (though, not with the skill and dexterity of a fully dedicated pilot) and that particular Fighter might have some type of life-support inside of it or the trooper could have had an independent breathing apparatus since their helmets could support such additions (Tie Fighters didn't have a hyperdrive and relied on being carried by other ships, so it's another safe assumption that this Tie Fighter deployed from either a nearby base OR a carrier). The weapons having such a low ammo counter could be due to being depleted (I think the conventional magazine could support well over 100 shots) from prior firefights and having remaining ammo due to panic reloading. If the game ever hit a larger scale I would change it so that you can pick up magazines that have different amounts of ammo on a RNG (adding pressure by making players decide to either keep the current mag loaded until it's depleted or load a new mag in anticipation of a larger fight or the option to 'rotate' magazines so that you can optionally keep all mags but cycle through them as to not waste shots). Second would add a scaling difficulty since the stories indicate that the undead regain some of their motor functions and skills as time progressed, first shooting wildly and missing but gradually becoming accurate (this opens the path of increasing difficulty as the mission progresses naturally OR adding the option that the more you lollygag, the harder it will be, which would pressure players to either search the area for gear and equipment (which would increase the risk of the difficulty going up) or running through to take advantage of the undead's early skillessness). What I'm suggesting is more for things like multiplayer and long story missions that can play into each other as the game progresses. As it is, the game is very good and I hope to see more advancements in the series.
Weaker!? It's not exactly weak. It can take a blaster shot and keep the wearer alive, unlike clone armor. Although, the clones (phase 1 helmets) could survive out in the vacuum of space for a limited amount of time and they also had grappling cables supplied to them as well.
Stormtrooper armor was, by far, the weaker of the armors due to how the Empire spent its budget. It could take a few light blaster bolts and a glancing blow from a few medium bolts before failing. When you look at Clone Trooper armor, many clones took hits that often rendered them unconscious OR it took many hits to actually take them down. The Empire put more focus on the Tarkin Doctrine (their death knell) and put most of their money into their navy vs their ground soldiers overall.

It's cool, but 100% could use more work. My main criticisms are: 1. Why is the trooper not a pilot, instead of a typical trooper, it'd make way more sense for them to be in a TIE that way. 2. Why does that random imperial droid, have access to reports on the Blackwing incident? 3. Said random imperial droid's voice is pretty silly, and its dialogue also just doesn't fit at all. 4. The blasters eject shell casings when they shouldn't, they'd probably have been better if they functioned similarly to as they did in the battlefront games, where they overheat and whatnot. 5. Silly animations, which aren't necessarily bad, they're pretty funny, but they take away from the horror aspect. 6. The dev charges money for this, which is most definitely not legal [because copyright laws], very likely to be taken down. Regardless, it looks like a neat fan-game.

I thought that tie that crashed actually had one of the zombies inside of it.
The Ewok Hunt experience turned to 120%
These stormtrooper zombies can’t do nothing to you… their helmets cover their mouths tight…
Well, In the end of Return Of The Jedi no imperial prisoners were shown. But, Lot's of their armor and a huge feast was happening. Every victory feast requires lots of food. Especially meat! 🍖🔥🔪👍🐻😋
They call Endor the dead Moon for those who played the game I'm referencing good on ya.
i only wish they were faster and more violent like in the book. otherwise this is really freakin cool!
they're in the trees!
First time a stormtrooper that can actually shoot
i thought it was a movie and i subbed to you
This is awesome and I want MORE
On one hand I want them to be like they are in the book but then we get l4d star wars edition so I'll accept this
A Star Wars horror survival game?? 🔥🔥🔥 this is Lit!
"This games plays like butter!"
Mmmmm.
Right after I said that it started running like doodoo lmao
a bit jank in its execution, but the idea is brilliant. I was kind of hoping for another zombified main character at the end though, who knows maybe we'll see it next time, and i hope it ties into the DS2 in orbit.
man got the stormtrooper aim too
That's what happens when there's no sensitivity settings. Other than that meet me on any fps and I'll show you aim 😂😂
They messed up the armor rig, the butt armor plate is stretching like skin.
Where we can buy or play it?
why are bullet casings ejecting from the blaster handgun?!
Huh, the only Stormtrooper I've ever seen who could hit anything
Zombie stormtroopers would be perfect though, they could not bit so... easy peasy :D
Wow this is crazy i heard about this virus and it would be so interesting if they made a movie about it
Its funny how the more ammo you have the more ammo you waste. More gunny more problems
rip dd5 r1
did anyone else notice that when he gets hit its the sound of the clone troopers in SWB? that made me chuckle a bit
Yea this is a cheap asset flip lol
So a blaster reloads with a mag? Tf
I want more of this game
Your blaster skills are way too accurate for a Stormtrooper.
Ewok voodoo 😂
It's cool, but 100% could use more work. My main criticisms are:
